All right thanks for the info. Turns out it's the same style as a Madcatz fightstick, since it has the Japanese layout. As for currently practicing, I'm getting better at using it at arcades. I can't get Hazama to 4D properly to do an air combo, but I can get Ragna to do his BnBs. I also won 4/4 matches (But I think they just used the arcade stick as well, so they weren't as skilled in using it. They also could have just started.) I need to do more matches in life, since lag always gets the best of me.

How different is the fightpads for consoles compared to an actual arcade. I've never used a fight stick, and recently tried the arcade cabinet version and I did horribly. I couldn't do Hazma's BnB combo, and barely got one of Ragna's. I'm seeing some pretty positive reviews for fightsticks, so that's why I wanted to know.

As of now I stopped using Lamba as a sub and am now using Hazama. His flying across the screen reminds me of Tekkaman Blade from TvC, and so far it's working out well. I mean I'm still losing a lot, but I can definitely see improvement since my opponents are at least super close to a knock out.

Usually when I play fighting games, I'll pick the big guy with abuse-able quick moves, since they'll be more powerful than other characters moves (Astaroth in SC, King Dedede in SSBB.) However since this is a totally different style of play for me, and characters like Tager aren't my thing in 2D fighting games, I use Ragna. He has quick and punishing moves, which is what I need. I also play Lambda for her long ranged attacks, and Noel for her easy drives. I have the "Haters gonna hate" mains.
