  1. Thanks dude. That's what he said as well. It's funny because he started to disrespect it just a little more in other matches. I felt like I was running out of options with pressure.... Rachel's 4B to me is an unblockable.
  2. D'aw. Look at this. Aren't we all just getting along?!
  3. Yea that's true, thanks man! I'll be sure to remember that. BBCSEX PSN: Sakaku (Rachel) vs Kiba (Tsubaki)
  4. What matchup with Tsubaki isn't tbh. I try to IB but I always get caught in stagger pressure which is quite irritating. You're better of barrier blocking as you said. I wouldn't even attempt to look for ways to disrespect his pressure unless I DP his 5C. His 623B is unsafe on IB. You can punish it with dash 5A > Combo I could understand this situation during pressure, but if he's doing this on his wakeup, you can throw him out of it, or use an unblockable. With that said, if he goes for the umbrella DD, and you're close to him, you can get a throw counter on him, but then you'd most likely have to RC to avoid getting hit by nails. Much point? Don't try to poke him after he uses 6B, it's safe on block. Even on IB you still can't do anything. Don't try to poke him out of nails. They're + on block. Just be sure to move around alot. If he uses nails from a distance and they catch you, it'll be in his favour.
  5. Eh, rather than using the DP whiff combos w/o stock, why not use the standard combos to place yourself in a better offensive position? You definately don't want to be caught in the air against Lambda. Dat random astral. Dat number of 3Cs. You had your good moments with 3C, like when you hit lambda out of the spike chaser, but I wouldn't recommend using it THAT much. Your blockstrings are pretty patterned too. There is really no mixup is what you're doing and Commander Nippon is not having a hard time blocking it lol. It was just 5BB > 5C > CC, and he eventually started poking you out of further pressure. Use 2B and 6A to provide yourself with some mixup.
  6. Indeed. Ah, I remember something along those lines too, but I guess some people don't really think to throw me out of it. If it were the case, I'd avoid using 6A/6B/6C. And wow, Kuresu is actually on fire.

  8. I actually forgot the Mugen combo y'know. That's why I ended up doing the 3D combo for the 4th time, haha. My mistake. Might try using 22D instead now, thanks. Because he was pressing alot of buttons during my blockstrings so I wanted to catch him out. I tried mixing it up with charge cancels but I kept getting poked out, so clearly he had to learn the hard way. Btw, thanks PK for the uploads!

Whether it's of japanese players or you just wanna show off your own gameplay! If you guys recognise any of the players whose names aren't mentioned, please be sure to give me a shoutout. If I've wrongly time stamped a video, please be sure to give me a shout! The dates are in ascending order with the most recent being at the top, and the characters are in alphabetical order! 12. Just noticed PK's ninja edit lol. 1 Charge corner combo 5C CH > 6CC > 623C > j.236A(w) > J.214D > j.D charge > j.C > Dash 5C > 2CC > 236C > 5C > 2C > 236C > 214C > 22B [4133 Damage, 41% heat gain] Is anyone having trouble with the j.C > Dash 5C > 2CC link on Ragna? Either 2C doesn't hit, or 2CC doesn't. Bleh.
  13. I'll gonna put this here since it's still very relevant. Saves the story I guess. Try not to backdash too much when he's running to you. His 5B can catch your backdash and then put you in a worse position. Try not to rely on 236D so much as it's unsafe. Remember you have a really good AA which can stop his aerial approaches when you're in range. Also consider what MashThat5A said earlier: I think this is my worst matchup with Tsubaki, and I usually don't know how I could go about it. It boils down to either choosing between charging and scaring the Ragna player with your stock options, or pressuring them. I wouldn't want Ragna to gain an advantage so I'm reluctant to back off and charge. At the same time, I wouldn't want to rushdown without feeling 'resourceful'. So indecisive.
  14. Thank you. You haven't seen the best one yet. Where he uses 3C as a reversal.
  15. Oh look Hexanoid, you're up again. London Astral Heat session Kiba (TS) vs Hexanoid (NO) 1 more on the way, unless Rednova wants me to link his stuff?
  16. That dude should just make an account here tbh.
  17. I'm glad I helped. Enjoy!
  18. The input needs to be quite fast. It's as soon as Tsubaki stops hovering in the air during the animation, lol. You also need to be quite close for it to work otherwise it can whiff. It may just be a mistime.
  19. Roar. At Neutral: At the beginning of the match, I wouldn't recommend running back, because you'll make it easier for her to set traps on the screen. It will happen, but you'd want to make it harder. That doesn't mean you should be reckless though, as she can fish out for 6B CHs and send you into the corner which is really where you do not want to be. At this range, you're usually fine though. Just make it a priority to get into her rather than to charge. You can do this by either running to her, or by air dashing to her. Note though that her 236A can stop your run in attempts and your 236X, and 236B can stop your air to ground attempts. She also has 6A, and the combo from that can result in you being in the other side of the screen. Also, our normals > Rachel's normals. Our normals are better in terms of range. If she is trying to get away you can use 236C to close the distance but like I said, she can stop you with 236A, so try not to get predictable with your get in options. Far Range: Not the most ideal spot to be in tbh. She will have poles up, George, and the pumpkin. I urge you guys to proceed with caution, don't rush in with 236C, and try not to blindly run in. Be careful with air dashing in too, especially if there are poles about. You could get caught by sword iris, and even if you block it, Rachel is still at the advantage. If you get hit, you just allow her to set more traps. At that range, you're better off acquiring more stock, but just be aware of the fact that she can use wind to push george or a lobelia close to you. If you charge for too long, you may end up getting hit, or even blocking george and allowing Rachel to rush you down. If you get hit in her mixup, it's guaranteed to get you into the corner. Don't get greedy with charge. If she doesn't have George or a pumpkin and she's using 236B, use that opportunity to rush in. Even if you don't punish the recovery, at least you have her blocking. George can be destroyed with 3C, but of course, you'll leave yourself vulnerable. Pressure wise: How you would deal with other characters without a good reversal really. You can follow Batousai's blockstring analysis in the wiki, so I won't mention it here since it's the same really and not character specific. Just don't get carried away with charge cancelling alot of stuff as she can stop you with 5A, since hers is good. Also, you can throw her out of the cat chair. Regarding blocking Most likely you'll be doing alot of this if you're in the corner. She can do a quick 5A/5B > j.A/B overhead if she has wind. It's quite difficult to see coming. I wouldn't recommend guessing it, as she could just hit you with 2B and get a combo going. I think 5B > 3C catches your jump attempts too. You'll get used to that overhead eventually. How I did it, is that I noticed that the wind use and the overhead wasn't simultaneous of course, so I grew better at blocking it when I saw the wind use. The problem becomes more difficult when you block it, because they can just jump cancel again into j.A, or go for the 2B low. When you're blocking, use the barrier to push her out in order to give yourself more space to escape the vortex. 5B > j.A overhead can be stopped I think with a DP provided that you IB'd 5B, but that's risky because the Rachel could just jump and do nothing. Without wind however, she can't do much to you. Her normal 4B overhead is easy to react to because of how slow it is, but bear in mind it removes a primer. If you're blocking George, you usually just have to accept whatever Rachel is going to do. If she is sitting there next to you, don't burst, and don't CA, because she'll just block them and punish you after. You better off waiting and doing them when she's actually hit you. If you get hit by something midscreen, usually, it's guaranteed corner carry. My personal problem with this MU is that I'm afraid of being in the corner, so my frustration grows as I get hit more. Thus, I make more mistakes, meaning, I'll burst quicker, at the 1st hit midscreen for example, and I'll completely neglect the fact that I need to be patient to get in. Of course, this is deeply regretting later. Don't let her frustrate you into making common mistakes like that. This is just to get the ball rollin' though. What do you guys have to say?
  20. The invasion of Tsubaki players begins. You have to be really committed with Tsubaki. She has to work harder than other characters in pressure and damage really, but I don't believe she's that bad at all. Personally, the more I use her, the more fun I have with her. This is alot for you take in Deus Ex though, as you've just started. You've already said that you like her, so give her a spin. If you don't like her then ok, move onto another character. Just know if you need any help, feel free to shoutout.
  21. Definately sounds like a good idea. Glad to see you here man. Definately. There are regular tournaments that go on, and I even host Gamerbase sessions with Zoular. In fact, there is a session today. I linked the details on the previous page.
  22. Dx Sorry there. Saw the self improvement thread. I'll try and cook up a story for the Ragna MU later.
  23. It's like a party is going on there all the time. Heck, even C0r is there sometimes. I blame BatousaiJ.
  24. Ah really? Good stuff. So how're you finding this place then?
  25. You're using j.D when you're too close to Noel and she could easily attack you. Everything about the match is pretty, messy and random tbh. It was so fast paced and stuff that it was like watching Marvel vs Capcom 3. Moves are just all over the place and both of you are getting hit a lot by random attacks. The Noel is just mashing drives. In the first round there was alot of unecessary use of 623C and 214X. If Noel is mashing drives on her wakeup, 6A/6C will both beat them clean. Of course, that is harder to do in neutral. It looks like you still need to get a grasp of how and when to use Tsubaki's attacks. In neutral, you can get in with 236C/D and use the fast mobility she possesses to run in and out if necessary. 5B is also a very good poke (not AS good in EX, but still viable). When you did manage to get 236C/D hits in, you didn't capitalise of them, even with a bnb of 5BB > 5CC > 22C. I'm taking into consideration that this is CS2, but note that if it were EX, the information I'd give would vary slightly.
