SBO is Sept 17th & 18th. Sept 10th is too close to the event. Also I just asked SBO and they said please do it on 20th, to give them time to update their guide with the winners' info. Sorry for the inconvenience -

2011 Blazblue CS2 SBO qualifier - Aug 20th, 2011

Sorry man, I announced it over a month ago on FB and our forums. I assumed someone would post it on here because I have been so busy with business. Just so it doesnt coincide with the other quals, John Choi suggested July 23, but I was worried it was too close to Evo so we changed the date to Aug 20th. I hope everyone can make it out. -

kid viper here. i finally got to test out the BNB you posted zeth. the combo does 3385 damage if you start with 5a. omit it and start with 5b and you get 4.2k :O the IAD j4.C is literally an iad so after the 6c it feels easiest to just do 7664C.

[CS2] Platinum the Trinity Actual Discussion Thread The First
Emotiongear replied to Circuitous's topic in Archive
Kid viper talking, wanted to give my take on platinum. <3 her. her normals are good though some are slow, fuzzies off lots of dumb things, good anti airs and lots of mixups. 3c is a great and retarded poke/whiff punish due to its range. it's almost as good as cat stick 6a and 2c are dumb, priority on 6a is just really freaking good and the range on it surprised me fry pan and 5c are very deceptive anti airs. install items are really amazing. it really helps with added pressure/counter zoning. platinum's pressure can be one dimensional at times but given the right items you can easily throw people off like nothing. combo wise her 22c juggle in the corner is a little tricky but not that bad, yields great damage and meter gain. midscreen combos are meh but it's ok because of her oki options. 236b gives good meter return and has many different ways of cancelling it if they block it. cancel it early and you can attack/airdash in the air. cancel it halfway through and you attack on the ground. cancel it late and platinum will bounce up so it's sort of good for tricky pressure. matchup-wise i don't really feel any pressuring matchups except maybe hakumen, lambda, and bang. will take some more time for me be really sure about matchups though. will post more stuff and thoughts later -

Arcana Heart 2 Premiere Party at Planet Zero in Houston this Friday, 04.04.2008 @ 9PM
-
Showing continous support for the Arcana scene, Arcana Heart 2 should be on freeplay at Showdown throughout that weekend!

I meant in that in the team tourney. We are looking at individual players as opposed to complete teams. Someone who's a fantastic player stuck on a team with 2 not so great players should have a chance. An example is the case of the Tekken team. The team would have been more competitive utilizing players from the Houston and Cali teams. Also there's a singles tournament at Showdown which might have very different results from the teams. Yes Showdown is the ONLY deciding tournament for player skills for the spot. No other qualifiers will be held. As for FR, it is just merely by coincidence that we both booked our venues for the same time period and neither of us could change it due to the contract with the hotel. Oh well.. Ranma felt bad and even opted we give a prize for the winning team at FR to have half their tickets to Houston paid for in the case they wanted to attend Showdown. FR declined.

no man, we're aware of how things work at SBO. This is hardly a popularity contest. I want a team to win....even getting past first round is making some kind of history. But we can't have any of this at the expense of doing anything that will impact the relationship we have with our affiliates, sponsors and SBO in a negative way. SBO is as interested in the players character and personality as they are in their skill level and ability to entertain the spectators at their tournament. Same goes for us. Thats the basis of sponsorship for every competitive sport.

SBO and Evo might be on the same weekend...or one weekend apart...lol Check here http://www.mashharder.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2892

Elvenshadow, we're bringing another team for Tougeki 08, get ready to practice with them when we get there! I'll try to see if we can get a few more days before the event over there to bring them up to speed! Thx! John Planet Zero
