  1. Wouldn't we have to consider backdash with Rachel? I've been using raw BHS against Hakumen and it's awesome, but i never tried it against anyone else, as even the worst backdash has enough inv. frames to evade BHS's 3 active frames. Rachel's backdash inv. is listed as 1-7, so she shoud always able to escape from BHS after super freeze. Haven't tested, but maybe it'd be worth a gamble against those with the least inv. frames (1-5) and without meterless inv. moves. Going by frame data on the wiki, they shoud get hit unless they manage to finish the backdash input after the super freeze ended, as buffering it during the stop would make the invincibility end while BHS is still in its active frames. Nu and Terumi seem valid targets. Maybe staffles Litch, human Valk, Izayoi, Hazama (cmd. throw?), Amane (stance inv?)?
  2. Videos are being uploaded on http://www.youtube.com/preteptube
  3. Confirming stream on http://twitch.tv/pretep Bandwidth at the location is pretty bad and, worse, unless a dedicated stream guy shows up, the whole thing might end up managed only by players available. So please have patience if stuff like scenes/score/name updates don't run smoothly.
  4. The game has many moves that stay in CH state during recovery, even though they aren't in their active frames anymore. Zappa -> Raoh -> Last Edgy (214S) is such a move. 30 frames of disadvantage, all in CH state.
  5. Hey, everyone! Obviously mindless Champion notified me about it only now, though I've told him about this months in advance and he's the one following the international scene much more than me. Anyway, the dates seem to be good and the scale of the tournament seems epic, so it'd be a big waste not to try and be there. Right now Ryanair arrival on friday late evening seems like the best option we have and looking at http://www.bitterharmony.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=2300&start=0 I was relieved to see that the GGXX tourneys have been moved to saturday (which makes a lot of sense, as friday is usually the "arrival" day for everyone and people can get late). So yeah, in short, if everything goes well, Champ and I will try our best to be there. Don't know yet about a third player but considering I've only found out about it half an hour ago, plans seem to be going well.
  6. I've tested the 5HS for chip damage and it doesn't do chip damage - at least not on normal guard bar. Ditn't think about flashing guard bar, as I've never known it alters chip damage properties at all. Other than that, big props for the thread, Zoogstin. Something like this was really needed here.
  7. I've heard you have to press and keep pressed a certain button after you've selected your char and the screen starts loading. Might be D, maybe Start or Select. Once I've tried and had the feeling that zappa got SOME of his old samples back (for backdash, summon, etc), but it was jsut after I got AC, so I wouldn't know for sure. HOS guarding Dog 2D shouldn't happen in normal circumstances. Unless he used Slashback - slashback is supposed to to guard unblockables. Then again, HOS already can just FD Potemkin's slidehead out of blockstun (after 6HS or gigantor) which cannot be done with any other character, so he might be weird with other moves. Altough I'm pretty sure I've seen him dog-looped in Game Chariot movies (I haven't played against him enough to notice anything).
  8. To tell the truth, I've never been thrown out of 632146HS in other versions, so I think it's been throw invincible in earlier episodes as well. The overdrive is a very good reversal in the sense that it's invincible for a great deal of time, so it has its uses to pass trough other peoples large shit like Dark Angels, Eddie pressure (won't necessarily hit Eddie but usually kills the little one, keeping us safe), and other pressure supers, but it's not so great against well timed jump-ins and poking offenses, as it's slow and though it makes them whiff, careful players will recover before it hits them and then punish us on block (happened to me against Sol a million times). So yeah, has its uses, but it's not always a no brainer.
  9. Sup ATG! Taken from http://hokuto-no-ken.sega.jp/am/movelist.html Can't wait to see your killer (thinks about Chipp-sized chars... ehm...) Souther.
  10. Chipp has the shortest throw range, followed by Millia and Baiken.
  11. The cancellable taunt is called respect and is executed by holding forward when pressing the taunt button.
