---Posting this in here instead of video comp thread since it seems more appropriate. I see... to keep corner advantage and still do jumping finisher, he forgos the double jump and then air dashs forward or back depending on the situation. Something people have done in the past but hasn't needed to do since 236 > etc etc ender came around in CS 2. The faster 5C is a force to be reckoned with due to the proration and CH combo property as well as the continuation possibilities. It's not an even trade for our best poke getting slower but it certainly will make a difference. It's going to be a fun few week of discovery as new technology slowly starts to surface.

Don't worry too much, it's way too early and most of what gets found out first is "what no longer works" instead of "something new that works". Overall though, it seems rather clear that she's been nerfed all things considered. It doesn't really make sense that she did with her place in the tier list and all but that's arcsys for ya.

Now to wait for some video footage...

Those are some fine combos. People should definitely add them to their arsenal. Just don't forget wonky hitboxes of certain characters can make the 2CC > 236C > etc etc difficult to land.
-
It don't matter to da jesus. Talk about something more important.
-
What's MM? Mugen is fine -__-. Either that or the actual name but like pk said, most people know it as Mugen.
-
Ya, that's true. As long as I have a few minutes in the video to talk about what makes Happy Clapping bear so awesome, we should be alright.
-
Agreed. Also, her midscreen damage is fine. Especially compared with the rest of the cast, it's actually higher than most.
-
Do a quick round up of the combos we're going to use on the video before you start recording. It's been awhile since we updated the combos here and I'm sure we have more optimal combos for many of the scenarios presented.

Who the hell are you?

We have the resources and everything important listed down here and there. It's just a matter of putting it together and organizing it.

I just came in here to say that I tried to add Mu to my subs list and spent a whole 10 minutes in training mode with her and I'm still not GDLK with her. I'm going to guess that is because she is just a bad character and not designed very well. Ya'all are playing a bad character. Just sayin'

I don't think I'm making another Tsubaki video until extend comes out. There are simply too many things on my plate these days including other games a heap of RL issues I need to deal with. Dae or someone else can handle it if they wish though. When extend hits though, I might pick up the Vita version to see if I can get some capture off of that for some videos early before we get our hands on it on the consoles. We'll see though~

Konan dropped a lot of combos there and he really wasn't playing his best in all honesty. Maybe it's the finals nerves but he's kind of lucky that he won playing sloppy like that.

Nice work Dae. Some creative stuff in there and I enjoyed watching it. I'll send you a message over PM since I doubt anyone else is really interested in video making and all that jazz here in Tsubaki G~

The proration off of a throw is kind of ass for us so generally, even if I have a charge I'll try not to use it unless it's a kill combo. Other wise the one Hajin metioned Throw > 6CC > 623C j.236A(w) j.214D > 5C(w)C 2CC > 22C > 5C 2C > 236B 214B 22B Will add a respectable amount of damage over the no charge variation with all the benefits. As for Orion's question about the 623D, j236D, it's still very punishable since they can just dash under the j.236D as you're slowly falling down to punch you in the face. It becomes very difficult to punish when you can add j.214D at the end to quickly get them into stun lock. Other wise, you can just delay j.236D/j.214D however long after 623D is blocked(it's delay cancelable as long as you're in the air) and when they press buttons to try and punish you, you can just go into j.214D and whack em on the face for their efforts. You can also do j.236D to fish for a CH but I'd recommend using j.214D instead since it's faster and if you RC immediately afterwards to make it safe on block(obviously) and if RC after a hit, you can dash and pick them up for a full 2B > 2CC > IAD combo.

A lot of new Tsubaki users fall in love with the 214D and start throwing it out too much and while its rewards are great if it hits, it's not something you can use on reaction in most scenario to get something going and ends up being a risky move to throw out there given it's - on block. I would recommend the use of 214D as mentioned before as cancels to punish mashing or in specific match ups where you see an opportunity. For example, Mu with her insane reach on the normals like 5C/6C/j.2C or if a Jin player is being frisky with 236C ice sword and dashing towards you after it with a 5C/j.C or if that Lambchops has you in the corner with a spike chaser queued up. 214D will go right through all of them given you timed them right you can even quickly dash and change the side you want to continue the combo to which will most often then not get them to the corner. There are a ton of situations where knowing the match up and anticipating what your opponents will most likely do will make 214D a very deadly tool in our arsenal. Just don't throw it out there randomly and cross your fingers.

The sliding 5C > 2C pick up doesn't work on Jin. It should work fine on Haz. Make sure you're in the corner when you do it and as noted above, hit them with 22C high and do a dash 5C instead of a standard 5C.

Nice write up as expected, Kiba. I have two things I'd add to what you wrote. The first is a simple counter to Noels that 2D/4D/5D on reaction to our 236x and that's just simply to do 236A/B/C(depending on distance) and then cancel into 214D. It's the same kind of method to screw up Haku players that want to 5D counter 236x moves on reaction. What this will accomplish is to feint them into throwing out their drive move and then when you're right near them, you'd auto cancel into 214D to slide through their move as its ending and whack em for that 214D starter that'll give you a ton of damage. After you do this a few times, they'll just be too scared to try to drive reaction our 236x moves and then we can just use them as we normally do. The second thing I'd add to that is most Noel player's tendency to throw out j.4D(I think that's the command) to cross over and fish for FC which leads to huge damage. This will change the landing timing and course of her air dash so if you just carelessly throw out 2C, they can use the j.4D land/get a hit relatively quickly and while 2C can and will intercept if it's thrown out early, if it's late it'll be FC and that's bad news. I've seen most noels attempt this move on either side of the corner whether they have their back to it or you do(the latter to make it more ambiguous). You can beat this with a number of things(safest is probably to jump and j.C as you're falling) but you can just throw them(if they land right next to you), 2A them or basically anything that's quick(many times I would react and 5B and often get hit first), just make sure you can spot it and react accordingly.

Dae! Did you know that Sardines are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular disease?! Sardines are truly the cure-all gift from the gods! -
Good that you guys find it entertaining. You're right on the money on that burst bait hajin. After a naked 22D is a time most people will burst in that situation. Especially when they have two bursts and that much life left. Shadow's a really smart player and basically called me out on my attempt at the bait at that point. Otherwise, I would've gone with a 5D > 2B > 2CC > IAD combo after the hit.
