  4. Wow that's a lot more responses then I thougt I would get. So thanks all of you :D. I'll read up on the running your first tournament stuff. As most of it is general knowledge for running tournaments. I was actually more intrested in BBCS specific rules. Like the way you guys handle beginner mode. Well thanks for the tips and I'll be sure to keep checking the thread to see if anything changes. :D
  5. Hi everyone, I'm part of a small dutch organisation that organizes Fighting game tournaments. So in advance, my apologies, if my english isn't correct. Anyway I would like to know a few things and was wondering if you guys could help me out. The Community over here is prety small, but we're hoping to organise some good quality tournaments. I've been trough the event announcement thread in search of some standard rules, and i got a few but i still have a few questions. 1. Are there any advantadges to playing on a certain console? Not trying to start a console war or anything. It's just that BBCS isn't officially out here. So most of the people imported a PS3 version. However with Street Fighter there seems to be an advantadge playing on the 360 because, It's said that it feels like PS3 version has some delays (just a few frames). 2. I've seen that one of the tournaments is allowing Makoto but not Valkenhayn. I understand that He might be a bit to new and that might be reason he's not allowed in yet. So I was wondering. If there is a standard period of time before a character becomes approved for tourney play. Since the game isn't in stores here yet, we've decided to not let DLC characters in the game at our first tourney. I could also understand that every tournament organiser can decide on this matter by itself. But Since this is the place where i have the biggest chance of getting a good answer I thought I might as well just ask. 3. Whats the standard on the best of (amount) rounds? Is it best of 3 rounds or best of 5 rounds? 4. Except for banning unlimited characters. Is there anything else that I should know of? I presume these are the standard already: Time: 99sec. Stage select: Random BGM: Random Button Mapping allowed Turbo's/Macro's not allowed Simple/easy mode not allowed Any help would be appreciated :D
