The announcements say that there will be returning characters from SC4 and obviously new chars. So... Im guessing it'll be at least a 50:50 ration new to old. Like prototype said they have to bring back Taki, Ivy, Mitsu and Voldo they are just too big a part of the series to just drop out. Talim and Tira will still be in prime fighting age so Im sure they'll be back. I think X, Mina and Kilik will be back too. + all immortals. I actually want them to increase the roster. Though I agree, not with clones.

Dont think they will nerf X, specially since they nerfed her so much from SC3 to SC4, but who knows. I just hope they dont nerf Mitsu or Yoshi too much

Announcement....... I though that was pretty common sense....... This is the first real announcement since they confirmed that a new game is coming out. That's not easily Hyped LOL. Unless your not that into the Calibur series.

Just this forum, I dont play BBCS anymore. If you do try to play SC5 when it comes out we should try to meet up and play. oh and my Main is Mitsurugi and second: Yoshimitsu, Astaroth, and Kilik. A little Amy, Soph, Zas and Voldo too. Im also attempting to learn Setsuka and Ivy right now. Loving Ivy but Setsuka not as much... Critical Finishes were actually a huge part of competitive SC4 play. In tournaments they happened all the time. It is one of the many reasons why Voldo is a high tier character.

I'd like a game with the speed from SC2 and the general mechanics from SC4. I hope they add one or two permanent characters to the cast too.

Daishi Odashima, current lead designer of the Soulcalibur series, announced on Twitter that "SC is back!" Soul Calibur 4 is not very combo based, BB is definitely a combo based game. By a combo based game I mean that the primary way of damage acquisition in a game is based on combo damage, not poke or grad etc.. type damage.

Wait so how is Valk as a chacter? Is he any good? how is combo execution? Hard? I am considering if I should buy him and main him but I want to have at least some info on him.
