[CSE-CP] Jin General Thread "Jin it to win it... again"
Xx_Hoshi_xX replied to Yuushiro's topic in Archive
I appreciate the tip. It's not that I don't know how to stop it. It's just that it's that second delay online that messes up my timing for the things that I need to work most. Delay in combos isn't so bad, if you're good at execution then you won't have much trouble. Delay in DPs and other things is what pisses me off lol but I'm going hit up the lab and practice what you said. -
basically, but I found out how to stop his pressure (it's not hard offline but it's always that one second delay that messes you up online). Also a good thing to practice is IBing his d nails in the air. You can attack right afterwards to stop their autopilot... you can also jump up to escape their pressure. You can do this on normal block too but it would be better to get in the habit of IBing. Literally this feels like an all out air battle to me lol your air normals are better than his so I'd use them to most advantage I could. His mobility is good as well. 5c is good but it has it's issues because all he has to do is jump and use d nails to bait it. My strategy in this match up (share if you have other ideas) is use my air normals because he really can't do too much about them except use a well timed 5a or his drive.

you guys must be fighting the wrong bangs... tk d nails is fucking lame. Any tips on how to get around this (especially when they do it at the start of the round)?

Lmao sometimes it's like that though. I was playing this bang earlier (I fucking hate bang) and I had to do things so out of my element; he still raped me though. I've always had trouble with that match up. Tk d nails at the start of the round is so fucking annoying lol he gets the momentum so early when he does it. -

The bastard lol who needs him anyway. Kei and Ronitta are looking pretty good out there. And everybody is playing KOF! Good thing I have mw3 to keep me busy until I get it. I haven't been playing much BB but when I do I rarely use jin :/ been hitting up haz because rags looks a little easy. @Shin, you get bored at 1v1? I can't really tell lol that's probably because I'm bored myself. I just like 1v1 because one, you have a better opportunity to learn the match up and different player styles. If you have a large ass room i don't think you get to take it in as much. Big rooms are okay but I prefer 1v1. And two, I can't stand fucking waiting lol if I lose then I have to wait literally 15 minutes just to get back to my turn, and that's just if it's 2 out of 3. I'd rather train by myself or play a different game then wait that long. Especially if the players aren't interesting to watch 0.0 it becomes hell then... -

Well of course I don't want a replica of her lol I can just play GG if I'm missing her that badly. I would just like to have a character with her personality is all... and just a little of her playstyle lol -

^meh... I'm not going to have my hopes up. Where the fuck is our jin combo vids? I'm not even sure his combos will wow me this time. Man... I'm telling you if they ever made an ABA like character in BB I would become BB's number one fan. -

@solex, nah... I'm not sure how many frames you're trapped in 236D but I think it changed. Last time I tried it they break out before 623D is unblockable. EDIT: Also, I wanted to answer you're question; it would be better to have 6d because it's easier to use in pressure. They only way to use 2d is for them to be farther out. And that would be awesome if they did something like made his fireball game better... I'm suggesting like Ky? People would complain about that though... -

I miss the unblockable setup... -
This won't work. Since DS is so slow jin has enough time to wake up dash dp. Essentially what this does is counter the fact that they might space their DS. You don't even have to use D dp, C dp will also work. All the jin player has to do is wake up on time to catch ragna before the move gets into active frames.

@solex, it's simply because he was able to hold his own despite being a low tier. His overhead could be special cancelled which meant you could save your heat for other things, and because of this so many styles were developed (mainly gimmicky). His fatal was actually good. CS2 fatal is pointless, you're better off using 6c. His combos were awesome: D dp loops and the use of 6d was amazing. His mid screen combos were a little dry but they weren't completely dull; there was enough variety to keep you interested. He was just a fun character. The only thing that makes him somewhat fun in CS2 is his damage consistency. You're literally getting 2-3k mid screen every time, and that's cool; I like that. I'm not hating on CS2 jin, but I don't think any jin was as fun as CS1 jin besides CT. -

I really hope ragna isn't S tier though... I've actually been putting in a lot of work to learn him, but I have a no god tier policy so if this tier list is law then I'm not using him. -

Like I told Shin earlier, I will NEVER truly drop jin. I actually love lower tier characters because it's so much more satisfying when you win. However, tiers is not the problem this game. It's the fact that he looks extremely dull, and compared to everyone else he is late to the party. "Oh look, he can now get a 3k meterless combo off a throw in the corner." Okay... nearly every character was doing this in CS2, and most of them still are doing it in extend. Someone earlier said why not make his overhead gatling. I have been praying for that ever since CS1 lol I wouldn't even care if it did less damage. I just want him to be a fun character. CS1 jin was so sick... I'll never understand why they changed him. Idk... I just don't like what they've done... it makes me sad. Despite this jin is still my nigga lol no amount of 6b combos and insane meter gain (tager) could change that. I'm just going to give him a well deserved break for extend. EDIT: @Mac, that could very well be possible though. Tager gets an insane amount of heat from his combos. That means more 720s and gadget finger mix ups if necessary. I saw in one video a tager did a 7.3k combo with 150 meter and a spark bolt... and since his combos are so long he could really just use magna tech wheel every combo to get a consistent 4k; he uses gadget finger afterwards and if he catches you again that's another 4k combo he plays his cards right. I'm not saying he's godlike lol but he isn't shit anymore. I'm not really mad that he has this either because he is so slow so he might as well have something good. -

I would probably use K, elisabeth, and kyo as my team. Yo! I'm actually extremely hyped for this game lol I gotta get the money to get this... that's another game to add to the games I want. EDIT: Not like tetsu is going to change my mind about how jin is lol but it will however make me more interested to see him play. Like I said awhile ago, maybe tetsu would realize that he can't use tao and he will just go back to jin; hopefully I was right and I pray that the same happens for me because I've been in this ragna-is-kinda-cool phase... and I've been doing well with him 0.0 I'm still maining jin though as far as I'm concerned but I probably won't use him as much if I'm not inspired. -

omg yes lol i get tired of the default colors sometimes. I also think it would bring more originality to a player because he/she could be the only one with that color. -

@Jourdal, lol I've actually been looking at ragna as a potential main and not because he is becoming really good; he is just a very simple character and actually he may be the closet thing I'll ever have to ABA so idk... I'm still deciding. And after seeing goro playing makoto, I've actually been pretty interested in her 0.0 and KOF is just too nice. I'm literally falling in love with Elisabeth, K', and I've always liked Kyo and Iori. -

I have a few things to say lol One, I will never be happy with what they have done to jin. When I saw Kei play in Jourdal's uploads I was like oh, I wonder if he'll win and I as expected he lost pretty horribly. It's just that they literally took everything from jin. The 214a combos are so dry and it loses novelty after the third time you've seen it. 6a has even more of a disadvantage on block... I'll trade simplicity for creativity any day, but we've been beating this dead horse since the game came out so there is no point in reiterating it. I have actually been considering dropping him or just quitting BB altogether and find a new fighter. Two, I wish I could play buzzed lol I'm not much of a drinker but I know enough to know that drugs and a fighter don't mix most of the time >.< Three, KOF looks amazing! I'm not as a devoted fan as Jourdal and Shin but it looks like a game I could seriously get into. I played one KOF game and I loved it. -

lol you know I'm here to help. It's all a process anyways. I still drop combos from time to time, especially game winning combos -_- you have no idea how many times I have dropped 623D starter combos in the corner. It's always that dc 623D that gets blue beated. Luckily my opponent doesn't tech and I'm still doing 5.4k and don't get me started on the double 5c< 6c combo... my hit confirm has gotten better though. I have been playing offline with my friend and it really helps me focus more in the game. -

@Shin, you gave up a lot of opportunities to do heavier damage but instead you went for your indifferent combos. I recall one moment where you confirmed a 2d while SRZ was in the corner but all you did was 6c dc< 5c sjc< jc< j2c< j2c< 214c when you could have done a meterless 3.3 combo and with the amount of heat you had you probably would have won that round easily (even though you won the round regardless, you dragged it out to a point where it didn't need to go). There was other shit but I can't really remember lol ggs though. -

>looks at videos uploaded Yeah... CSX is looking REALLY dumb. Of course I'll get it but c'mon. Ragna gets a 5a CH and follows up with 6b< 2b and that shit is viable? CS1 all over again. -

@Jourdal, lol that's cool because I usually do the same thing. I use pink when I'm feeling serious about playing. Then I go to the default colors when I'm like "meh, I just feel playing games and having a little fun." @Shin, I don't really have a salt color lol I just have lazy colors. -
[CSE-CP] Jin General Thread "Jin it to win it... again"
Xx_Hoshi_xX replied to Yuushiro's topic in Archive
@Shin, I get lazy sometimes and just pick the default colors with the four main buttons. I usually use pink or the green CT color, but I got a request from my friend to just stick with the pink one. @Jourdal, damn... you beat me by a long shot then lol I started using the pink palette during CS1. I originally used black in CT but the CS1 black palette is ugly... I hate that hair. It's the same with the green palette. The green is cool, but the red hair throws it off (even though red and green are complementary colors, it doesn't look good on jin). There can be two pink jins... I'm cool with that. -

Oh, I need to see that match. I always thought his win ratio was so high because of the people he usually plays.
