Jin thread seems to be pretty dead lol but since I am a jin main, I think it's about time I start sharing my knowledge as well. This match up requires a lot of patience. You can't just go 5c-a-blazing and think it'll work. The tools that I find most useful in this match up are 236b, jc, 2d, 5b, and jb. Use jc or jb when they are airborne, but respect her jc. Some mus will sj jd charged and airdash from you. stay patient and wait to see which way they plan to go. Also, you can use jb to bait her 5c. Jin's 5c isn't nearly as effective in this match up. I wouldn't advice using it at long distance. Be weary of 5c baiting, if you use jb too often to catch them using 5c they may wait and use 6a or 2c, so use it judiciously. 23678c or 236b work well in this match up. However, I would not use them foolishly. For example, if she has just deployed three steins I would not use it. Try to catch them in the middle of of her, this way if it hits they the steins do not shoot. when you are close on her use 5b, it will beat 5c with ease and may even beat her 5b (i'm not sure of that so check the frames). I would imagine though that 2b would be a problem seeing as hoe it has pretty good reach, so I would watch out for it. 2d can sometimes catch them backdashing or airdashing back; it can also catch them using 5c or steins. However, use it effectively. They may realize what you are attempting and just dash forward to use 5c. if you see that a mu is spamming the drive you can use 632146c, very little risk but it's up to the player if they are willing to use the heat for it. That being said, there are types of mu: the ultimate zoner, which uses steins and 236a repeatedly, then there are the semi-zoners, the ones who use the drive but utilize her normals more. It all depends on the player styles so try adapting. Overall, just play it safe. Shin adviced 214d... I wouldn't through it out the window but I wouldn't use it unless I had heat to cancel. Then again, I don't think it is too wise to go for something that risky. If you respect her 5c and aa's you should do well.

Well, I always went for characters who had either an eerie and demented personality or the ones who looked cool and collected. In guilty gear I absolutely fell in love with ABA lol prior to her though, I used mostly female characters (except in SSB). I started with bridget, moved on to may, baiken, and milla. Then CT came was coming out. I watched numerous videos of rachel. I thought that I would stick to my female cast since it would be appropriate seeing as how I used all females in GG. I was almost certain that rachel would be my main once the game was released. Then suddenly, I looked at jin... I had no real interest in him initially, but for some reason he called to me. I picked him as the first person I used on CT and it was settled. I suck with him ever since then. Even though there are so many nice characters in bb, I couldn't imagine myself maining someone other than jin.

Finally located in savannah... but is anyone here? I was hoping to get closer to a scene but...

are there any BB or GG players in south Georgia? Say somewhere around valdosta?...

Oh wow lol I have already been doing that, I just didn't know that was option select XP thanks to everyone who answered.

I know this is more of a SF term but, are there any applications for option select in BB? if so, can someone give me a situation of it being used. I know what it is, I just need to know how to use it lol

I'll definitely be making my way to the next revival, and final round. Kind of sucks that everyone is saying that the bbcs scene is dying out in GA, seeing as how I'm trying to get into fighting games competitively :T there is always GGAC, SSF4, etc. Hopefully it can be wkept alive until CS2

it's uncool that I live so far away :T i'll probably be able to make revival (next month) and FR but it sucks that i can't join in the casuals like everybody else. FML! I can't wait till I go to college..

I agree with this summary. Arakune (if trained properly) can do a combo that gets him full curse meter easily. And he can still deal good damage. Basically, if you fight an arakune that actually knows what he's doing, the match could end pretty quick.

Okay! i finally have a stick (so happy) and I have a quick question. I'm having trouble carrying over momentum in my combos. Instead of an extended 5C like I want, I get 6C. While trying to carry over momentum, should I let go of stick completely? I think that's what the problem is, but I just want to double check. I use jin so here is an example if you don't get what I'm saying. Ex: (when opponent is crouching) 5C, 6C, dash cancel 66 5C... (Input i want) (when opponent is crouching) 5C, 6C, dash cancel 66 6C... (the error i make) I'll experiment with just letting go of 6 on the stick to see if that helps.

What's this IB conversion thing you were talking about earlier? I need details. other than that question, I have others lol we've played before, I don't know if you recall; anyways, if you do remember, what do i need to work on? What was I doing that was unnecessary? I just realized a few days ago that I was using dash breaking WAY too much at times where it really didn't help. I also figured out that I jump too much (but I think I got a handle on that issue). Other than those things, what do i need to work on? I'm getting a stick friday so i need to learn from scratch so I won't make terrible habits like I did with pad.
