Fucking, everyone is going to play Kokonoe. Also if anyone -wants- to come to Extra life at rackspace just PM me and I'll give you my number. I'll vouch for your entrance. I'll have BBCP there (And Mahvel and SF4 and SSBB and Divekick) I played Platinum as a sub in CSE and she's super fun, so it's probably either her or Mu honestly.

It's not even just the 22A crap for me, I just don't like her entire mode swap play style. Like in CSE I would get a 3C ender into 236D then I could play oki games with crescent cancels/4B/etc, but in this if I want to do crescent cancels I have to mode swap.. which makes it super obvious because the rest of her tools are pretty similar in Dia form. Then defensively you don't have 4B anymore (Yeah yeah, it wasn't the best option - but it was low invincible and the first hit was 9F which was fine for a lot of stuff) no DP distortion in Dia form, just ugh. I'll give it another week or two and see if it grows on me, but Nu might be going to sub status for me :/

22A. I really don't like this. I'm debating switching to Noel, Mu or Platinum for CP and having Nu as a sub.

Yeah.. having 0 defensive options aside of "block and hope you find a place to stuff a 5a" feels awful.

I just got my copy. My day 1 impression is that I don't like it and it doesn't feel anything like Lambda. Izayoi is pretty fun though. Platinum is fun still. I don't like the new sounds for Makoto. Her D moves feel like they have no impact anymore.

Sure, but is that really an issue with watching videos - or watching them at the expense of playing? I just find that an interesting stance to have.

I think not watching any videos is doing yourself a disservice. You can learn a lot from watching players "Oh man, that's a neat setup maybe I should see if I can work it in to my play style". The problem comes from when you just try to replicate the person your watching's playstyle instead of learning different things you can do and then implement them into your own.

Define "Nights" I don't get off til 11PM on mon/wed. 10:30 if it's a really good night, do you guys stay out late enough I should bother driving out? I'll start coming by Saturday nights for sure though. =

I'm not sure yet. I'll try her out and see if I still like her, if not then I'll try Bullet and the other new people or just switch entirely to Platinum.
