I meant as in first time. Not as a complete main. EDIT: Put it this way. I'm not trying to say if you pick Ragna you will win all the tournaments in the world. I'm not saying that you will be able to beat top players with little effort if you main Ragna. I'm not saying that 5B is some amazing poke that you can spam and win with, I'm not saying you don't have to think at all in EVO final and still win with Ragna. I'm trying to say that he is easy for a beginner to pick up and be able to do well with. Easy - Cheap - Annoying whatever it's called, that's all I'm saying.

I understand what your saying. My meaning of cheap can be applied to everyone, I know. I mean if I fought your Ragna all the time and no one else, I would not call him cheap. It mostly is just from salt after fighting players that you know you are better then but yet you feel you can put twice as much effort in and yet they can still prevail because of their character. I can see why people try and make it look like mindless 5Bs gives you wins. It doesn't and I know that, it's hard to explain in words what I'm trying to say. To theory, Valkenhayn, Arakune, Ragna and Hakumen are all cheap. But I can't really tell the different between cheap and good. It just feels like we're debating who's top tier. Like I said it's really hard to explain what point I'm trying to get across. BB is pretty balanced. to say Ragna is not cheap is to say no one in the game is cheap. Tbh what does cheap even actually mean? It seems like it just means "good character".

In my head, cheap and annoying is kinda' the same thing. Ragna is a an easy character to pick up, as well as being one of the best. That's my definition of a cheap character. Jin is not a bad match-up for Ragna, either Relius. The rest is debatable by all means. I'm not saying that Ragna is the best character in the game. I'm saying that his skill barrier is lower then the cast, he has the tools for everything except... say... projectiles, but yet he still has some options to get in over zoners. Great Air-Normals, Great Pokes, Good Anti-Air, Good DP, Good Damage, Good Pressure, decent health (health recovery), decent mix-ups. Most characters including Valk and Arakune don't have the best tools for everything, but excel in some areas. All-Around strong, jack-of-all-trades type character (Think CS2 Jin). I can assure you that you will do a lot better if you picked Ragna rather then if you picked Arakune, Hakumen or even Taokaka. Saying that picking him up then just winning a tournament is unrealistic. This is also more directed at casual netplay, not tournament play.

Do you reckon Chie is top tier? I keep hearing that she is, but I'm not sure if people are trolling or actually being serious. Fuck Europe and their delays. Gj at SJ Kirbster.

Do you guys always use Marin Karin during blockstrings, etc? I see some top players use it and others choose to use it at rare occasions.

I'm wondering if SMP combos will be banned in future tournaments? Do you guys reckon that their that game changing for her? Or are they a key part of her play and you go without them?

At least Valkenhayn, Arakune take some good effort and each have their own weaknesses (And bad match-ups). You should of done a Relius tutorial dude. Or a Brosuke one. Ermmm Ice Car? Or do you mean the air dash stuff?

I think I spent more time on the Tales of Draspi mini-game then I did in the main story... lol that was so addicting... I used to be in the top 20 leaderboards, but I'm sure now =( Hopefully, when I play Graces F it say give me enough courage to finally do my second playthrouh of Vesperia. EDIT: Played Grandia 1 and 2. 3 I'm yet to play but I think I do have the disk somewhere... possibly. Shadow Hearts is the same thing. Played 1 and Covenant, but I didn't touch 3. The cover art just kept me away from it (Don't know how different it was, but Yuri isn't in it T_T). Of course I've played The Promise Lands! <3 I hope you've played Yggdra Union, Knights in the Nightmare and are importing/playing Gungnir!! I've heard different. I don't really like the art or the battle system in most Tales games, but I heard Graces F raised the bar a bit. Well since I've already pre-ordered it, I might as well fight through it. It surely can't be worse then some of the JRPGs reaching Western shelves these days... Lost Odyssey I didn't care for much. At the time I thought it was great, but it's nothing that I would replay and recommend to anyone as a Top 5 JRPG must play. Tbh, I would give anyone a medal if they could name a JRPG I haven't played (That's been released in the States/EU), unless it's for the DS/3DS, since I don't have one =( Thanks for the feedback.

Btw, I just pre-ordered Tales of Graces F, I didn't import it since I'm not a big Tales Of fan and I had lots of other RPGs to finish up on. So I'm not really sure what to expect, the last time I played a Tales game was Vesperia back in 2009. I heard Graces F was the best of the whole series from some (With Eternia being my favorite), so why not give it a shot. Still replaying FF9, Wild Arms 2, testing the Valkyria Chronicles 3 English patch, hacking into Fire Emblem 7 cuz' people are lazy, finish Xenoblade Chronicles, grinding like crazy in Resonance of Fate and taking my stupid DSA Theory test. Probably gotta' get round to finishing my Chaos Level playthrough of SO4 as well soon. A new fresh RPG will be nice... so it better be bloody good, anything better then Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2... Opinions on it please? (For anyone who imported it).

You play Ragna. You should fight Hex's blob. He just gets 100% curse combos and then some stupid unreadable mix-up that leads into 9-11k. You might as well just unplug your stick, get up and leave. I could probably make a fairly decent ham, cheese, lettuce and pickle sandwich then come back just in time for the end of the curse combo.

Good man. Goooood mannn. The super still 100% curses? I love his cd bug loops, it's a shame that it's been removed, probably gunna' get some other cool loop. Bullet is some horny teenager's wet dream, Azreal looks like a complete ripoff of Roa from Melty, but Aname... Now that's a fucking character.

Mitsuru vs Aigis is probably even. Some can argue Mitsuru vs Chie is also even, same for Yukiko. Mit doesn't have any bad match-ups though, Kanji being the most easiest. I'm sticking with Mitsuru main and Chie sub now tbh. Or maybe main both (Mitsuru is so easy to learn anyway).
