I am sorry, but you are mistaken. Burritos can be breakfast food as well as leftover pizza, you just have to embrace it.

I've trolled Milln enough, so proper shoutouts time. Shoutouts to Milln for the great t- I mean for the sweet tournament organizing, housing and feeding me cereal, taking me out to the fuckin' ballin' burrito place that has made me question bane's decision making skills, and overall being a good buddy of mine like always. Shoutouts to Skeletal Wes, it's always great having you guys up here, just a shame we didn't get to play as many casuals as I would've liked. Seeing you flex in Blazblue was pretty damn funny though. Shoutouts to Cheddar's. Shoutouts to ZomB, it was cool having you out here again, and getting rocked by you in two different games. Next time we gotta play something I actually play though, heh. Shoutouts to Eshi, we didn't really talk at all during tournament, but chilling at Cheddar's and talking Edamame+documentaries was fun, looking forward to seeing you guys at FR. Shoutouts to Reptar, I still don't know anything about how you actually play, but repping showers, fakku, and funny Waifu Emblem stories is always good in my book. Shoutouts to fuggin' Mr. Wes, coming out to have fun with us and play my second favorite character. Always fun hanging out, next time we should remember to discuss music. Which reminds me of Mellis. Shoutouts to you my friend, for breaking my heart and telling me I'm friendzoned at dinner. BASTARD NEVER REALLY WANTED TO TOUCH My BUTT :< Also good shit in games and music, we must discuss things of that nature sometime as well. Shoutouts to Tret, we love you Cookeville! And your robo DPs all night long keeping Mellis from going in hard and making you bite the pillow. Fun times were had in Guilty Gear, and i still don't know how to Robo-Ky matchup, lol. Shoutouts to Bane, Blue Coast Burrito is the best and you know it. Keep learning GG man, you've definitely got potential to do work as Jam, I dig it. Shoutouts to Jacko, who I didn't get to play with at all outside of a single GG set, but that's cool. I'll let you speed-teach me the ways of Narukami next tournament. Shoutouts to Phil trying to turn me into a scumbag. It's never gonna happen my friend, I will not be swayed just because the Potemkin matchup is gross. Thank you very much for the May matchup exp though, I feel like I did learn a lot about Shoutouts to Patrick for some lulzy matches and hanging out after the tournament, always fun man. Shoutouts to Volpe, it's always fun playing, and if you wanna talk about theism or metaphysical stuff any time, just PM me for my number, I never get to talk about that shit. Shoutouts to Star, stop being horrible at talking online Star, you're so much better and understanding irl it's ridiculous.

This is something I've never really understood. SF players treat matchups like 5-5 is okay, 6-4 is hard as shit, and 7-3 is completely unwinnable. I don't get how the ratios work out, lol. Also, I don't play Persona Ultimate in matchups arena, but I know we don't need to get personal over matchup discussion, keep it in your pants Star and anyone else wanting to do such behaviors.

Great tournanent, great experience

Purposefully late. Roses are red. Violets are blue. I suck at poems. Let's have sex.
-
Yo Milln, what was that electroswing band you showed me last time you picked me up? I keep forgetting to ask for the name.
-
I agree with this entirely. Nowadays it's a slow process of just refining my basics, but most of my big learning has been in total spikes of "holy shit, this is what I've been doing wrong, and I got it!"
-
Sorry to hear it man, my condolences friend.
-
Milln, can you drag me to the tournament again? I wanna wish Naimat a happy birthday. Also, when I eat a high it's because I don't have half the matchup experience I had in CS1 where I could block, and I focus more on offense now. Edit: YO MINION, WHERE MY HORROR SHIT AT?
-
^This. And out of the sprites in progress you listed Volpe, Mika looks sweet.

So enlighten me on why I should like UNiB, I really don't mind learning since I play fighters TO learn, but feel free to assume I love ignorance if you want. It's more I just strongly disagree, it's not a mixup if it doesn't actually mix up unless you get in a rare situation.
-
Do you not understand that high/low without guessing is reactable? An 18 frame startup overhead isn't a good mixup if you've seen it a lot, trust me. ...Prolonging ignorance because of what you perceive as ignorance sure makes you look like a mature and good source of opinions. Wink.
-
:| I don't think anyone other than Milln has had a serious problem with Melty, and I'm still gonna try UNiB because of Volpe. So lose the bullshit please. I really don't see why you want a mixup system without mixups. Without an unreactable aspect to make someone want to push a button, there's no reason to even go in and waste your time. At an above scrub level, it'd make the game nothing but neutral and blockstrings for meter. Which I'm sure sounds great for Mitsuru, but it sounds pretty crappy to me. Speaking as someone who lost to Snipe's Bang back in CS1 because of unreactable mixups and loving it.
-
I would, but desktops are a bitch to lug out to tournaments :U Also, to Star, if you get off on frame traps so much, why not just play HOS? That's what he is.
-
Star, I treat your opinion with little respect because you throw around strong terms like "unbalanced" and "braindead" without even understanding the core mechanics of the game, or thinking before you yell "BROKEN". Guilty Gear is NOT an especially imbalanced game, it's just hard. A fuckton of Millia's mixups are escapable as Tad said, or reactable as I said. Not to mention, pressure without mixups is NOT a good mixup, it's just so boring and annoying, and a reason I really dislike dealing with Blazblue pressure.
-
As gross as it feels, it really is.
-
I strongly disagree with this. I believe any level of player can learn any fundamental by thinking about it, so next time you're fighting anyone in any setting, don't think about how you're gonna win. First think about what they're doing, and then about how you can pre-reaction punish them for it. This could mean anything like cr. Roundhouse spammers in SF, or someone DPing on wakeup in the corner. Just THINK about it as you play, don't go all offense, or try to shut them down with a bunch of oki n' shit. Just play some casuals to learn yomi, and just yomi, and report your findings. Is another thing I disagree with, to a degree. Training mode is really nice for playing around with a setup, or a combo, but actual matches are the way to win if you can get them. Frame, tech traps, and holes can be found through a quick glance at frame data without a ton of time in training mode, and holes can often be found by simply playing the game. Just my two cents.
-
I've yomi'd tons of DPs, but then they got away anyway because FADC.
-
^ I developed mine in Magic: The Gathering, and Warcraft 3 lol.
-
I believe yomi is something you can learn. Play against someone, or a group of people long enough, and you WILL learn their habits, even if you don't realize it. Example: using Hakumen's counters when not reacting to an overhead. Any time you do that, it's yomi, and over time you'll notice when people want to swing in a situation, and use it. That's yomi that you will learn. Also, after a long walk, I've reached understanding on Star's position. He's really Fem!Star, and her OTP is RagnaxNoel, which she wants to ship in every game. (If anyone doesn't get this, I apologize and hope it's funny to those who do.)
-
Okay, I'm gonna need you to clarify something for me. What is YOUR definition of a non-braindead mixup game?
-
Alright. For one, Millia's rushdown game is probably the least 50/50 based rush other than HOS', it's just really hard to block. If you don't believe me, watch Bishop vs Phil and look for all the ridiculous stuff they both block. And Millia is probably the least braindead character you've played, since there's more to fighting games than pressure strings and combos. That's my 2 cents as someone who's never played Millia in my life. I'd love to hear what Phil and Tad could say on the matter.
-
With all due respect, I think you gave me brain cancer. I'm just gonna go over here and do things, and try to forget this ever happened. Also, if I see you guys DP ladder in grand finals, I'm punching both of you.
