I didn't agree with a lot of the things that had changed. But I really am starting to dig it, they're giving characters standout strengths and weaknesses now.
Think of Bang in Extend. His damage was great, his mixup is great, his pressure is great. Yet his defence is absolutely awful. They've just really emphasised these points now with a Supercrash nerf, and midscreen buff (New Combo Routes etc)
Then think of EX Hakumen + Ragna. The really excel in offence with amazing damage, Decent pressure and decent mixup, yet they also both have absolutely incredible defence and amazing normals, they have no "Big" weaknesses.
So I'm glad they're just tweaking characters to emphasise this. Each character should have specific gameplay weaknesses, it seems like the constant patches kind of left this in a blur.
It's going to improve gameplay a lot, You're going to have to learn to cover these weaknesses whilst exploiting your opponents. New combos may even emphasise (Love that word) this even more. It's going to be great, I'm sure of it.
