Every Monday night, approximately 50-75 gamers show up to McCarthy's downtown to take part in Console Combat. After hosting multiple weekly tournaments and a larger regional tournament, that drew players from Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Illinois, we are continuing to grow and give back to the fighting game community. Our scene is not the result of one person, rather, all of the players who show up week-in and week-out. All money made at our events go directly toward advertising and buying new equipment. We, as a community, are now proud to present Console Combat's April Annihilation. Event Details When: April 17th, 2011 Where: McCarthy's Downtown 1231 Main Ave in Cleveland Ohio 44113 Time: Check in is 11-12 am, SSF4 1230 pm sharp, MVC3 130 pm sharp, Arcana Heart (details coming soon) Set-Up: SSF4 and MVC3 will be played on XBOX 360. Tubes/CRT's and evo approved moniters will be used. Arcana will be on PS3. MAIN EVENT GAMES (Tournament Schedule TBA): * Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (XBOX 360) - $10 * Super Street Fighter IV (XBOX 360) - $15 * Arcana Heart 3 (PS3) - $10 PAYOUTS & POT BONUSES: TBA RULES: General Rules: -Tournament matches consist of FT2 (Best 2 out of 3) -Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals FT3 (Best 3 out of 5) -Character Lock: Winners cannot switch, losers may. -Turbo/Macro Commands are illegal. -Button mapping is legal. -If a player pauses during a match, it's the opposing player's decision on whether to take the round by default or just let it rock. Marvel vs Capcom 3 Time: 99 Seconds Damage: Normal No Character Bans. Winner cannot change assists or characters. Loser may do either or both. Super Street Fighter IV Time: 99 Seconds Winner may switch Ultra, but cannot change character. Loser may do either or both. Arcana Heart 3 Everything set to default. Winner cannot change character or arcana. Loser may do either or both. Animated Sidebars: On. Side Tournaments are currently TBD. We will have to run them after the main event games are finished to ensure that we go through our first priorities as quickly as possible. FOOD? McCarthy's Downtown has a menu that ranges from sandwiches to subs and everything beyond and in between. Beer and other alcoholic beverages at competitive prices.

Every Monday at McCarthy's downtown we have about 50+ people showing up. We play everything and have ps3 and xboxs. Mainly, it is ssf4 and mvc3 but many of us play everything. This Monday (feb 21st) we are doing an inaugural MVC3 tournament and a ssf4 tournament. I know it is very late notice but i just came across the site. I will be posting future events. We plan on doing a major with $1000 pot bonuses in the spring.
