Just confirming that I'm down to come to Ottawa, and would like to confirm where and when to go for a car ride. I live near the St-Michel metro, if that matters. (Also I have family stuff tonight so I can't come to the meetup to discuss it, sorry!)

The MTLSF tourney says Xrd is run on PS4, hmm. Any chance they can run it on PS3 instead? Maybe on our own setups? Finding PS4 sticks is going to be iffy...

I actually own a megaphone, bought specifically for some tourney running I did a long time ago. It's pretty great for destroying your own throat just a little less. Maybe I can bring it next time.

Suddenly my schedule cleared up, so I'll be attending that Ottawa tourney as well! Fight me! $5 first to five. My tournament history with Ottawa suggests it's in the bag. }:-)

Spending more time, to play less games, and to make it more of a test of who your friends are than about how good you personally are? Yeah, I'm not seeing great upside to this, even beyond the terribly unprofessional bait-and-switch. I am glad I didn't preregister yet and managed to avoid getting sucker-punched by that surprise switch, though I'm honestly sad at some of my friends getting stung by this. If you wanted to cargo-cult what Japan did and do team tourneys only, at least have the decency to announce it as such before you start taking our money. As it is, unless it's reverted (and there's still time to fix it by reverting now), it actually is a pretty scummy thing to do.

What is this weak stuff about changing +R to 2v2? Get that out of there. Singles is how real tourneys are made, and singles is what was announced. Just revert it to the real format.

I lost a bet to Lofobal and have to post about how great he is. Truly he is a better player than I. His infallible knowledge of esoteric Kliff tactics eclipses my own poor man's theorycraft, and I am left blinded by his timeless wisdom.

Wow, I just tried this Shin Koihime Musou game for 30 mins over here. It seems... kind of kusoge, lol. The damage difference on fatal counters is absurd. And the first char I tried somehow has a [jab -> rekka] * N blockstring? Man.

Alright, things worked out, I'll be there as planned. ^^;
