  1. I just got Arcana Heart 3 and have been playing it a little, but I'm not sure what's going on yet.
  2. I feel you, bro. I'm in almost exactly the same situation. I've been playing on and off since I was about 11 or 12 and SF2 was new (so, about 20 years now), but I've been an utter scrub until the last few years or so. I dabbled in Soul Calibur and Tekken, but I decided that I really prefer 2D fighting games. I also have the problem of not having any friends that play. I have a couple friends that play SF, but they're pretty scrubby/casual and they refuse to play BB because it's "too weird". I recently found an place in Houston about 30 minutes away that has Japanese cabinets and has CS2, so I've been going there on a weekly basis (and getting utterly destroyed by everyone I play). I lose most of my matches online by far. ...but I'm going to keep at it. I'll get decent eventually.
  3. I joined, but it's SF. ;_;
  4. From what I heard, Thursday is a good time to go if you want to play fighting games, since they have their SF4 weeklies then and lots of fighting game players show up then. This is only what I've heard, since I've never been, but I'm planning to go up there this Thursday, because I'll be done with finals.
  5. The eastern end of Pearland, actually. Very near I-45 south/Beltway 8. Probably about 30 minutes from Missouri City. I'm not very good at BB because I have no one to play, so I can't guarantee a good fight, but I'm always looking for people to play.
  6. Are there any regular BB meetups at PZ? That's my favorite fighting game, but I suck at it. Also, I just learned that PZ has MK9 now, too. I'm probably going to pretty much live there over summer break. :D
  7. Yeah, Monster's is on the exact opposite side of town from me and it's probably over an hour drive, so I'm not planning on going there anytime soon, but Planet Zero is a more manageable drive for me, plus they have actual arcade machines, which is a huge plus for me. I live by 45 south, near the beltway. I've never played AH, but I plan on trying it out at PZ when I go after finals are over. It sounds interesting from what I've heard. I'm wondering how practical it'd be to try to start some type of fighting game meetup group to just hang out and play on some kind of semi-regular basis. I don't know anyone who plays anything other than SF4 and even then at the most casual of levels. I still remember the glory days of arcades and online just doesn't really do it for me.
  8. I'm in the southeast Houston area and I don't really know anyone who plays much around here. I'm planning on checking out Planet Zero soon, but it'd be awesome if there was some kind of mini-scene around here. :/ BTW, I play BB:CS, SSF4, MK9, MvC3. I'm up for trying pretty much any fighting game, but those are the ones I have.
