Hey, saw this post thanks to friend from twitter. NM usually doesn't use dustloop to discuss anime FG stuff, we all gather with the rest of the NM FGC at NMISM.com to do that. If you like, you can sign up for an account and check out the gatherings that we have mostly in Albuquerque. Also, we are having a tournament coming up on February 7th at Super Gamer Anonymous here in ABQ. We have GGXrd in the lineup, and we are expecting players from Texas, Colorado and Arizona to show up. Maybe a mixture of both.... Shadow mechanics and burst, with possibly shitty normals or something to balance it. Or just a shadow version, no normal Adachi since they're pretty much one of the same, just like Elizabeth that has no shadow version.

Got a local Amane player that's putting a ton of work on the character. A match can be already over once you get pushed far enough for Amane to start swatting you with his scarf and drilling your barrier away. One thing to note is that Amane's C attacks (the long range scarf attacks) only have hitboxes at the end of the scarf. It completely whiffs if you're in between the end of the scarf and Amane, so a method that has been working for me is to do a forward dash right as soon as you see Amane press the C button and then go to Gustaf to get up close (just watch out for Amane's forward drill special if he's out of blockstun). Jumping in this match up is just asking for trouble. Amane only has a distortion super for reversals, so it should be smooth sailing once you're right next to him.
