  1. Well at least I know what to call it now so thanks for that. Also, interesting thing is that Millia's hat has a "license plate" that reads "[zl-28][13]". Now, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that used in Zepp as a means of identifying each of the citizens with a number?
  2. Ah, I thought you might be referring to her ending in AC+ where she's stabbed to death by a random guy out of flippin' nowhere. Glad I was wrong on that assumption as that ending sucked. And, Millia's Forbidden Beast is called Angra? When/where was this revealed? I must be really behind on my Guilty Gear lore if I missed that in any of the games.
  3. The hat gives enhanced hair powers XD. But why would she be dead? Did I miss something?
  4. I am personally so very excited to see the rest of the roster (hello, Zappa and Raoh). Especially now that, as others pointed out, there's a lot more detail in the character models. You can now see every single belt on Sol's body clearly. It's enough to make Tetsuya Nomura proud I tells ya XD.
  5. Why would you need alternate costumes when Guilty Gear designs are fighting game perfection defined ?
  6. OK, I admit it; I was taken aback when I first saw Sol and Ky. Definitely not what I was expecting to see. And just when I thought I should ready myself for disappointment at the thought that my Guilty Gear took SF4 aesthetic pills, BOOM the music and combat kicked in. Since then, I couldn't stop replaying it. The game looks gorgeous, even on the slow-as-molasses 30fps youtube video. I'm excited for this if nothing else.
  7. Pretty much this. Mori trolls like no tomorrow (Izayoi being the easiest to use is a downright lie) and that Help Me, Professor Kokonoe with Valkenhayn should have already tipped off anyone about the nature surrounding her inclusion. Not that it matters to me personally. I'm content with never playing as either Kokonoe, Jubei and even Phantom.
  8. Well look at it this way: we're 6 months away from the JPN release. Between now and then, we may indeed get some re-balancing for the game. ASW just recently announced that Kagura and Terumi are joining the playable cast and to my knowledge, they have not had any loketests that include them. Who knows how they will impact the balance of the game as a whole.
  9. Its a bit of a pet-peeve of mine. I had to work real hard and spend a lot of my time learning English (it isn't my first language you see). I still recall struggling in school because of certain things I didn't understand at the time and it took me a long time to get it right. So whenever I spot a typo of sorts, it just makes me *facepalm*. I realize that we're all human and we make mistakes, but man do some things just sound sloppy when you consider this translation was done and edited by a professional. Hopefully they will use the extra time between now and the localization to put as many finishing touches as needed to make it as close as they can get to flawless.
  10. And it is only now I recall, that ASW finally opened a North American branch in the West. I'm...somewhat worried about the translation of CP. Now, I'm sure the gameplay will still be as good, if not better, than ever. But really, Extend's story mode was "inconsistent", especially with breaking into the aforementioned Japanese at certain parts. Now, I'm not one to call a game bad simply because of one or two translation muck-ups. But, some mistakes really shouldn't be present at all (*still recalls the first time he played Yu Narukami's story mode and literally within minutes spots a misspelling of "someone" as "sameone"*).
  11. Could be like Soul Calibur III's Campaign Mode, except obviously not so glitched that it does not work. You also won't be using a created character, but a specific one per section. It also allows for branching routes in order to ger the standard True, Bad and Gag endings as well.
  12. You know, a 2v2 in Blazblue could be potentially interesting. Especially if you get two arch enemies who hate each other's guts on the same team. Just imagine Ragna and Terumi tagging one another in, spewing death threats at each other, all the while beating down on the other team.
  13. I thought it was available on PSN (if Battle Fantasia is what you're looking for)? You can try that unless you're dead set on a physical copy. Then you might have a problem. EDIT: And it is only now that I see you have Xbox instead. Yeah, best bet would be trying something like Ebay since I have not seen it in game retailers anywhere. Not sure. Mori did state that as of Continuum Shift, Blazblue has grown so large, that they'd need another game to wrap it up properly. Whether that's a good thing or no, is yet to be seen.
  14. It is also possible that the interviewer mistook what Mori was saying. If I recall, misinterpretations happen a lot when interviewing Japanese developers. Barring that, I do hope that if Chronophantasma isn't the last entry in the series, that the next one is not on the PS4. I just do not have the money necessary for that and who knows when a proper arcade stick for the PS4 would be made after that.
  15. For curiosity's sake, what is Makoto's current anime color (#13)? I don't particularly recognize it.
  16. So only Zappa and Kliff remain. Wow, hard to believe the game grew so large in a fairly short amount of time. We started with a humble 12 in CT, expanded to 19 with CS Extend, and now we're up to 25 with the inclusion of Kagura and Terumi. Plus who knows if there will be any console exclusive characters like what happened with Mu-12 so there's that.
  17. It is Carl. So by virtue of elimination, who do we have left from Guilty Gear to emulate outside of Kliff?
  18. So he does. Darn. Now I fear who will be getting A.B.A's palette .
  19. Doesn't Makoto have Order-Sol's palette already? I was thinking he'd have Venom's instead (being a charge character and all). Course, Kliff is still a possible one since he's got the sword for it.
  20. On the subject of a playable Jebei hitbox: I thought that if ASW wanted to increase it, they could make a new battle sprite for him. One that involves him donning that armor he's depicted in from some promotional artworks (I think the image in question features Jubei staring menacingly while GhostTerumi is laughing in the background). They can even keep the old sprite they used for Taokaka's Astral, but have him put it on in the intro like the Murakumo units do. EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/cABiW.jpg Found it. Yeah something like that. His drive can even be that Sekigan-thing which his right eye seems to have.
  21. I suppose I can concede to the point that ASW does do a fairly good job at balancing their games and characters (barring some exceptions). But the idea that Terumi could steal meter from an opponent with Drive (normals) is a pretty damn scary thought. Lets say hypothetically that each his from his Drive saps ~5 Heat from the opponent. It looks innocent enough, but if you land more than one in a combo it starts to add up. Land 5 of them? You just ripped out 25 Heat way from the opponent's resource and added it to yourself. Doubly scary if they are a character that desperately needs meter to have defensive options. The reason Tager's magnetism, Rachel's wind and so on are not bad is because there's a way to deal with them while still having all of the game's mechanics available. But I do admit that right now we know nothing how Terumi's Drive will actually work. I likely jumped the gun and I apologize if I offended you in any way. And to be fair, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find the revealed Terumi to be somewhat interesting and I don't even like Hazama/Terumi. The article said something along the lines that he has more Distortions than regular specials and that his Drive supposedly functions to get him more meter. That's a pretty unique idea.
  22. Except that would be all kinds of balance/game-breaking bad since meter (Heat) in Blazblue is pretty damn important. Doubly so for characters who don't have reversal options without at least 50 Heat (Izayoi) or anyone who needs to Counter Assault (a game mechanic). There is a good reason why characters who can affect the meter-gauge in 2D fighters are so seldom seen to begin with.
  23. Here's some more matches for the road: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNtXTMRoySY&feature=channel_video_title Makoto vs. Valkenhayn (1:38~3:01) Makoto vs. Arakune (19:06~23:42) Tough, the 1st one is likely to put anyone here into cardiac arrest, the 2nd match at the end somewhat makes up for it. Its interesting to note that despite 214C~C~C connecting, the uppercut animation did not connect at the end and Arakune was able to dash away in the 1st round . EDIT: More matches to be seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmuf-iVZMJk&feature=channel_video_title vs. Noel (5:16~8:36) vs. Tager (23:55~28:18)
  24. 2 things I have to say about that video: 1. Is it me, or is Makoto just plain..."slow" now? I mean, back in CSII, I recall her attacks being pretty damn fast and unless she was using a Distortion, there were times where I could just blink and I was already on the receiving end of about 5 attacks strung together. Come CS: Extend, and I feel like my eyes need to allow the character to keep up with them. Mars Chopper and her air throw being the most obvious. 2. The 1st match made me feel rather uneasy as the player, despite his PSR, wasn't even able to reach 3K damage. He got better in later matches but the more I watch, the more it looks like a good majority of her Makoto's moves really have no place in her combos. Its like you were given a fully loaded AK-47 and then told you're only allowed to use 1/3 of the actual ammo. Really hope that as time goes, people get figure out something that gives her an edge, because right now, its proving some people's claims that her place is at the bottom of the barrel.
  25. I've been watching every video of Makoto that I could find. In all honesty, I found a grand total of about 8 matches with her (yes, really that was it). And of those matches, do you know how many victories there were and against whom? It was 2 wins, one against a Tsubaki and one against Taokaka. Yeah, that was all. And not very good ones either. The rest consisted of non-stop beat-downs that made Makoto look like a sandbag. Its, really rather depressing if you ask me. In fact, I am almost in agreement with people calling her the new "CS1 Rachel". I say almost, because unlike her, Makoto can still do some potent damage. But just looking at the wins, the amount of work the Makoto players had to do in order to just barely scrape by a win is damn near equivalent to CS1 Rachel's personal battles. I realise its been barely a week since Extend came out but this is really not looking good .
