You should try cancelling it before they charge you LOL.
-
So you're in Key West? :P
-
Oh, that's like WEST west lol. When I read west central, I was thinking along the lines of west Orlando, like the Disney/tourist area-ish.

Wait a minute... I'm in west central! WTF. What area exactly? lol.

^This. Oatmeal raisin cookies are god tier.

Lol the FB group doesn't even begin to try and take traffic away from here. From the looks of it, this thread is doing more than fine with the group running. There are people who don't have a Dustloop account though, so the group is useful for them. As for the people with no ties that you mentioned, maybe some will one day decide to search "Florida Blazblue" or some sorts on FB and find it, but if not, then they'll have Dustloop. It all comes down to convenience really. Do they both serve the same purpose? For the most part yes. It's just another source that people can use to connect with other players. For people who aren't on DL (yet) but are on FB, they'll possibly find the group first and eventually everyone there will lead them here. The fact that there are quite a number of posting and chatter going on there right now proves that it's effective and works. The person who is running Storm Underground 4 has a FB AND a DL account, but he rarely posts here, yet is on FB all the time, he advertised the tournament on FB personally a lot, while here we just get random people discussing it. If people dislike the idea of that group, no one is forcing them to use it. If everyone disapproves of the concept that much, then I'm all ears and I will delete it, so that any traffic that it might have pulled from here will return.

Check the opening post again, Azure put the link to the FB group there ever since the thread opened. I made the FB group closed because I would like to limit it to Florida players only because that was kind of the point of the whole group, was to bring the Florida BB people together in a more social environment that some of us may check more often than here. And yes, it is also to help people recognize faces and connect before going over to see someone at casuals and whatnot because we all know how uneasy some people can be when going to meet someone they only know from screen name on a forum lol. I opened the visibility of the group up for the public, but I'm still limiting requests to join to be approved first just so we don't have non Floridians joining, which once again, the whole point of the group was for the FL people, no offense. Also, I'm not exactly gung-ho about it or anything. I have a little free time so I decided it'd be helpful/nice to do something that would help the members connect more, even if by a little bit. Seeing as how popular Facebook is and how nearly everyone uses it, and the fact that there's no such thing as a Florida Blazblue Group on there, I figured I would make one. I'm pretty busy with school at the moment and don't have time to make it out to casuals, hell I barely have enough time to play BB at home as it is. I'm no pro at the game, I'm just average, so I suppose I have no credit to do anything here, but I enjoy meeting people and making friends with anyone who's into Blazblue that I can just kick back and chat with. I'd like to think I'm a decently social person once I get to know people, which is one of the reasons I made the FB group. It seemed like you were against me and everything I did/posted, so I took it slightly offensively. Not trying to give you an attitude or anything, so excuse me if I came off that way.

God forbid I try to do something useful or helpful for us.

Official Austin Topic, 4th Edition full of fun and happy times! ;o

I see you guys want in on that Florida thread :P -
I don't blame you guys, the state is freaking huge. Went on a road trip to Texas with my family a few months back and the drive between each of those three cities were like 4 hours a piece. Out of the three, I enjoyed Houston the most however with it's huge Asian town/market/community, downtown Dallas looked amazing at night, and we barely spent 2 hours in Austin so I can't say much about it. Also, screw you guys with your 10 story tall highway ramps that go in infinitely many directions, 5 lane minimum highways, and let's not forget the aggressive truck drivers who wants to run everyone off the road dead LOL.

LOL. I was just commenting on how awesome we Floridians are that we have one unified thread instead of city based ones like Texas or dual state merged ones like MarylandxVirginia. No one's splitting up here :P Hmm, I'll have to see if anyone can drive me back in that case. I was planning on possibly staying the night in Jax afterwards since tournies won't end until late and I'd like to chill with my Jax friends. I'll let you know how things work out though. Thanks!

Tampa and Jacksonville are pretty much the only ones that matter unfortunately, lmao. There's like 3 of us in Orlando, 4-5 in SoFla, 2 in Daytona, and everyone else is scattered all about in smaller cities
-
You know, I'm not gonna lie, but sometimes I appreciate us Floridians having such a small(er) community compared to the rest of the states. I'm looking at the Match Finder forum and notice Texas having separate threads for Dallas and Austin, then some states have such small communities that they have to merge like MarylandxVirginia and PhilliyxPennsylvania. I'm glad we have just the right amount of people (albeit a bit spread out) to make one thread work for the whole state and that most of us are close enough personally to joke around without that awkward feeling of trolling/insulting a stranger lol. Way to go Florida crew! Keepin' it strong! (On a side note, I'm still requesting a ride to/from SU4. I will pitch in for gas. Any takers?)

-Looks at thread title- You tards, like it wasn't bad enough that we're the state with all the tourist attractions aimed at little kids -_- And thanks for the shoutout on the opening post, Azure.

Hmm, didn't know that. Great info, I'll keep that in mind for the future.

???? Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, Xbox 360s are region locked. It isn't dependent on the game, it's the console. Whatever region you buy your Xbox from, the console will only play games from that region and that region only. So if you have a North American 360, it won't play games that are imported from outside of North America. PS3s on the other hand, are region free, meaning no matter where you buy the PS3 from, it will play games from anywhere in the world.

Been a fan of Guilty Gear since GGX on the PS2's early days, and Blazblue looked beautiful, so I just had to try it out. Fell in love with the art style and gameplay mechanics.

I'm willing to bet that when they release Kokonoe, they'll also release a bunch of other characters alongside her that will be just as, if not more interesting. So I'll hold off on jumping on Kokonoe for now

It's all good, blondes are overrated anyway. The women with odd colored hair is where it's at Or the basic and stylish black is nice too lolol.

Might as well add my PSN under mine as well, even though I don't currently own BBCS on PS3, but just so it can be there: xZeroShift -

I'm only meh though, dunno if you'd wanna waste your time with me lol. Also, I actually don't recall ever playing CS online lol. Have no idea how my connection would fare with it. You're welcome to give me an add though, I'm just rarely on lately since I've been a bit busy with life -
