Ok, we just got a couple people to step up with some the requested items. Atm we have (4) PS2 Units (3 Modded, 1 Normal), Org CVS2 & Org Alpha Anthology, and an RF Adapter. Only thing left that's needed now is an Original VSAV Disk. While we do have four PS2 units ready, a 5th unit for back up definitely would not hurt. So yes, we may possibly need this in the event something random happens. Appreciated it, Squared. EDIT: @Squared Ok, should have read that closer. You're not guaranteed to be showing on Fri so I guess we'll have to fall back on something a bit more solid.

Confirmed the situation today at NLA and it appears we're a bit short on resources. We're short by just a few simple items and it's nothing too serious right now but some assistance from attendants will be necessary and very much helpful. CRT Units On-Site (3) With A/V input (1) With RF input Not 100% on whether or not NLA staff has an extra RF on the premises but **an extra PS2 RF Adaptor is definitely needed to run and complete the event in a timely manner** (4 stations is ideal and has produced consistent results in past Skillionaire events) PS2 Units On-Site & Contributed (3) Modded (NLA, Rithli, Kirah) (1) Normal (NLA) Extra Memory Card hack and/or Swap Magic is not necessary but would be helpful as backup. **Games Needed** Original CVS2 Disk (1) Original VSAV Disk (1) Original Alpha Anthology (1) For the PS2 unit that can't play copies. Time for the community to pull together and make this happen for a successful return of NYC's people's tournament!!!!!!!$$$$$$

Ok, so I'm going to make a trip out to NLA on Monday (or possibly this wknd) to check on the equipment we'll be using and the number of available units at the store. Last "season", I believe there were about 4 CRTs and about 4 or 5 PS2s that may or may not have all been modded for swap disk. I still have my swap disk but it appears to be on it's last days. That being said: WE'LL NEED TWO MAGIC SWAP DISKS ON THE SITE (I say 2 in case someone flakes out and forgets). And while we have (possibly) 4 PS2 units on site, it would be much appreciated if someone would be willing to volunteer an extra unit for the tourney. Rithli has already volunteered his PS2 for this but a second back up is always nice to have (keep in mind that we may not have to use the back up. It'll just be on the scene as safety precaution) Lastly, IF ANYONE HAS A MEMORY CARD HACK, PLEASE PLEASE BRING THIS WITH YOU. Memcard hack was used exclusively in PS2 MBAA tourneys and showed great results. Anyone with a memory card was also able to convert their card, with a few simple steps, to play imports/copied games w/o having to shell out cash for disks or risk damaging said disks. Anyone willing to donate any of the aforementioned items for next wk's event, post up and I'll compile a small list of who's bringing what.

The point distribution is as follows: POINT SYSTEM 1st Place - 10 Points 2nd - 6 Points 3rd - 4 Points 4th - 3 Points 5th & 6th (tie) - 2 Points 7th & 8th (tie) - 1 Point In the SKILLIONAIRE FIGHTING events following, participants will be seeded/arranged in brackets based on total accumulated points from prior SKILLIONAIRE FIGHTING tournaments (regardless of team affiliation or region). Winner of coin toss chooses player side and remains on that side for the entire set. Loser has the option of selecting a stage of their choice. If there is a reset in GF’s then either player may again request a coin toss to determine player side (as this is an entirely new set).
