Okay I haven't been on in forever and I am trying to get good again. I am trying to learn Noel and I have a few questions... 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyiGsecgrQo Are these still valid combos to learn for a beginner? 2) I am having a really hard time pulling Thor off in mid-air. Is it possible to TK the input? I think that would be a lot easier... 3) And is it just a matter of pracitce to get the (214A>2B>6C>ect.) down? 4) is there anyone on XBL who would be willing to get online and give me a few pointer? -

How hard is Jin to learn for someone who has never played a fighting game before? And if he is beginner friendly where should I start? -
Okay guys thanks for all the advice. I am going to try out Haku, Valk, and Carl. I had never even thought to try out Haku...Valk is just a BAMF and I like Carl because of his musical references and I like the idea of playing two characters.
-
I never know Carl was that offensive...I might have to try him out.
-
Okay...I need help again...I want to play a heavy offensive character. Like super offensive. My friend mains Ragna and I have trouble defending well enough to win. So the best defense is a good offense. Again I have nothing but time and learning curve does not scare me. I have been leaning to Carl, Litchi, Noel, or Valk. Litchi is who I am leaning more towards right now. Again this is my first fighting game...ever...So I would love something that tells me all the basics and the such. (I know Carl isn't offensive. He just looks stylish to play)
-
Learning curve has never really scared me. It takes quite a bit to frustrate me. Right now Litchi looks really fun and her combos look satisfying to pull off. Everywhere I am reading Makoto gets a lot of hate....like a lot of it...
-
that was supposed to be 236236...Like F.g...I hit the wrong button...
-
I can do all the commands(I do have a hard time moving fast enough to do 346346 motions for drive attacks) But I am having trouble with preforming combos. Is it just a matter of practice? Is there any character that is easy to learn this with?
-
I was just wondering which character has better mix-ups and a more rushdown play style. Jin or Litchi. I am having a hard time picking a main...I will also state that this is my first fighting game and up till a few days ago I was content with my scrubness but I want to fix that. I have a fight stick I understand the basics but I need to work on my inputs...any advice is greatly needed.
-
I know it won't be easy but I have always wanted to play Hazama. What are some tips on picking him up. I can already do all the commands on both sides and I have a feel for his movement.

Hello. I am new to the community and new to fighting games in general. I saw some reviews and decided to pick this game up. I have read about a few things and decided to main Noel. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get started in these games?
