  1. Sure, but it seems silly to take unnecessary risks like that. I mean isn't the reason Hazama has such an advantage over Tager is because of his amazing mobility? Why not use that advantage? At least then if you mess up, you probably won't be as terribly punished if you were to mess up your string. Besides, a good IB will let Tager go through your string and 360 you. 6B, if remember right, is the only move where Hazama has an advantage on block, so everything else leave room for something like a 360. If it works, that just means you're a better player than me, but, quite honestly, it just seems stupidly risky to get in Tager's face like that. No matter how smart you are, you will mess up, and Tager WILL make sure you realize how badly you messed up.
  2. But at the same time, you're giving him opportunities to IB 360 something. Granted that's not gonna be easy so long as you keep your feet off the ground often enough, but I suppose you take certain risks either way. Zoner and rushdown. Its pretty easy to play just about anyway with anyone against Tager...so ya know.
  3. The idea isn't really to be that close to Tager, anyway. You'd really only close in on a hit confirm. The flying over the head thing is too fast for 2C to catch so long as you hit Tager with a chain to make sure he's blocking. The only time you'd be in the air and in range is to jump away from a failed attempt at mixup, or after a really short combo ending in 214D~A. And then, he wouldn't 2C you, he's probably AC ya at that range, and considering you're jumping away 2C wouldn't have the fatal properties. At least this is my thinking behind the situation. Its not like you'd ever need to be closer for any reason other than to take risks or on D hit confirm....or to counter stupid sledges.
  4. So...if you're willing, would you mind doing me one? The idea I have involves both Valk and Hazama, standard colors, and both are next to each other, but facing away. Both will also have their backs facing us. Valk will be in his stance he takes before making that kick in one of his intros, and Hazama will be in the pose he has just before putting on his jacket, facing away from Valk. The background I guess could be any stage from the game or just...well anything you think would be neat I guess. Be creative with it, if you want, actually I'd like that, but if you're stumped Hazama's stage would do fine. Lastly, if the space permits, I suppose you could slap the name JoshuaBlaze in between, with each part of the name the color of the character it shares sides with. Ya know, that color that comes up in the background on the versus screen. So Valk's would be a deep blue and Hazama would be a green. So if Hazama would be on the left and Valk on the right, Joshua would be green and Blaze would be blue, and vise versa. I'm not sure how that might look, so if the colors are too ugly, don't feel inclined to color as such, I'm just trying to make it look...fun, I guess. Obviously if you have any sparks of inspiration, use it! It may be my avatar, but feel free to be creative with it. Also the size 160x64 would be great, so that the name fits. Now I also have a side dish with that entre...same thing, but smaller, 100x100, if it works. And in the middle just Vv instead of my name, would be fine. Again, the color scheme for the letters are up to you. If the character corresponding colors work, go ahead and do 'em, got something better? Do it. That way I could use it anywhere, if I so chose to. Thanks, I hope I'm not asking too much, I don't want to be a bother or anything. Thanks again!
  5. Huh...I didn't know other people called Lambda, Lambdy...well I spell it Lambdi, but ya know. Anyway, I...I dunno how I chose Hazama. I liked his look, and his character, but when I first picked him up, I hated him. I didn't get him and was like 'wow he sucks, I'm sticking with Tager'. Well, for one reason or another, I just kept going back to Hazama. I guess I wanted to figure him out or something...and to an extent I did. I'm not great with him, and even calling myself good might be stretching it, but I'm...competent with him. Valk I just liked. Plus gotta keep the class in my cast.
  6. I've been playing with Hazama for a year and I'm still trying to not do wake-up houtenjins... My Valk is...heh...well he's not much better, but he improved at a better rate? I mean I didn't really start playing him until CS2 came out, and I'd say my Hazama and Valk are ALMOST equal. Hazama is a bit better, but it could only be because he's so damn good. Anyway, it'll take me probably another whole year before I can consider myself 'proficient'.
  7. Remember that with your chains you can also, to an extent control her charge. If she tries charging in the air, you can easily shoot her down, and charging on the ground, while much safer, can still be dangerous for her. So, while don't spam your Ds, keep them pressured. The less charge they have, the better, and if you catch them in a charge you get a free CH off D...which could give you anywhere from 1800-5500~ damage. Make that charging dangerous for her!
  8. Man I wish this game got a bit more attention. Sure its not all that deep, but for an anime fighter like that...it was pretty damn fun! Good and stuff. Really enjoyed playing it. And then they decided they didn't like making good games and went to Tenkaichi.
  9. And to go off that he'll probably go for a low right after the wolf cannon. However, the cannon takes a second, so if you see it coming, getting a CH Rising Fang is worth the effort, and its something to keep in mind if they really like IAD jump ins. This, of course, can be baited and punished terribly, so you're better off with something a bit safer or just punishing after blocking jc. Grabs beat that most of the time or even just A's. Just don't let that bitch in. He plans on ripping up that nice suit of yours... Also its worth mentioning that j8D might not be very reliable against Valk. His air hitbox is weird thanks to that lanky man's figure. So be mindful of that and don't let yourself wiff it and make an opening for him. When dealing with his AAs, I find you really don't have that much to worry about. I'm not saying don't worry about it, but its not quite as dangerous as they're made out to be, I don't think. 6A's range is terrible, so try and start up j2C or 5B a bit early so you can beat him to the punch. These ARE somewhat risky, because he could have the timing down and sometimes, SOMETIMES, 2C will be able to actually beat j5B, despite losing its glorious AA ability. But in this match-up its worth taking some risks. As soon as you put him on the defensive, the whole tide of the battle could change very drastically. All he's got once under pressure is counter-assault, bursting, and his distortion reversal. So if he has heat and is under pressure, don't abuse 214D~A. Its not that great of an overhead, anyway. The wolf AA really should only be a concern if you're jumping in without chains, and he's already in wolf form. The transformation time needed to use his 5B is just too much for him to beat most things. As for yourself, as Dusty said, don't stand still. Standing still just gives him a myriad of ways for him to close in and bite your hat off. Seriously, he wants that hat, man, don't let him take the hat. So to do that, keep flying around, trading sides of the screen to keep you away from that maw, and maybe he'll waste enough meter so that he'll be stuck with IAD jump-ins, and those are pretty damn punishable. Ok...to be honest, I'm not entirely familiar with the match-up on the Hazama side. I main both character so I've been on both sides, Valk side more though. So this is going off what has worked for me because of the mistakes Hazama players have made. So feel free to cut this down, and shit, heh. Hope it helps though! This match-up really is a bitch, for both sides.
