Ah, okay, I see. I know how I'm going to adjust my gameplay now. I wasn't doing much air Summoning. I will also try to anti air more consistently, but its a bit iffy only because Ky has those air projectiles. I'm going to try and negate that by setting a HS ball in there or something. Thanks for your reply, it really helped me out.

Yo! So, I'm making good progress with Venom, and I'm loving XRD, but there is one huge problem, and his name is Ky Kiske. This matchup is fucking difficult for me, its like I can't really play my game becauseKy has the tools to just negate all the shit I do. He has the good range I have, he has projectiles to stop my Stinger Aims, when I'm trying to apply pressure, I am met with a c.K or a DP, when I feel I have the space to summon balls, he's in the air either throwing a projectile or dashing in to bop me with a j.S. Is this matchup not in Venom's favor or something, because I am getting really frustrated, to the point where I don't even feel like I'm learning something when I lose. It's either I wasn't fast enough or he pressed a button and I just got hit. Help!

I have a question. I'm a little new to the game, but thankfully I do have a few friends who play the game with me at a good level. So when pressuring with Rachel, should I go for throw setups and disregard wind more often? I am used to blowing wind whenever I get my opponent to the corner with 3C and 4B mixup. In training mode I try to incorporate throws into the mix but I do have that fear that I am gonna get jabbed out of it or I have to fight back if my opponent ends up bursting out of my pressure. What would you guys recommend?

So much skill... >_< Still unbelievable he's second, the hunt for the first Rachel begins!

Looks like we have to make a few changes in her combo games if that's the case with BBL being nerfed. Is it a huge nerf in terms of combo extending?

Matsu is too nice, especially the way he controls space and his execution. He really is the reason why I decided to stick with Rachel.

You main Rachel??! Same here, I'm also trying to learn her as well. Maybe we can get together and spar a little and share tips. My PSN is Khaoz77, hope to see you soon!

Hmm, I just might do that. I have always been skeptical about it, but I will give it a try XD

Cool Fugu, that would help out a lot. I would consider myself pretty mild-tempered about losing, as long as I'm learning something.

This one I actually started to do. Rachel's combos are very weird, but once you get them down, they are a vital part of her game. I see that my execution is improving each day I play, but sometimes it feels like when you got something down, there is something else that is twice as hard to do. I have played Fighters all my life, and I can honestly say the difficulty is why I stay and continue playing them each day. It would also help if someone with a PS3 could help me online with matchups since playing the CPU gets really boring and tedious and isn't a good way to practice good habits in terms of strategy.

Overall, I think Rachel will be interesting to use in terms of originality, can't wait to experiment with this stuff (especially with the changed prorations)

I use a PS3 pad, but I know from experience it's not the problem. I will try to use diffrent characters in different situations like you said. Thanks for the feedback

So I main Rachel and have been playing BlazBlue for a month now I got most of her BnB's down and can put up a good fight against good players, but I have a little problem. Execution-wise, I can do some of the more challenging combos, but I feel like my executional skills won't let me go past a certain point, like for example: When I try to combo out of the 5C hits, I drop them either because I'm not fast enough, or I always slip up on the transition to the next button. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some tips when it comes to surpassing your execution wall.

Don't ever scare me like that I have arachnophobia for days 0_0

The flashiness and beauty of the game (not only the visuals). The high level play I saw made me really get into this game. And Hazama, I think he is the sole reason i wanted to play the game so damn badly.

Just how effective is challenge mode for a beginner to practice?
Khaoz77 replied to CyberPhantom25's topic in Beginner Mode
I know challenge mode helped me step up my game a lot. When I was learning Noel, I used to be scared shitless learning her because at the time I was watching a lot of R-1 videos, and the way he played Noel was intimidating on terms of learning the character and using her to her full potential. Thanks to Challenge mode, I feel as if it made me a better player using a great character. Replying to DieMyDarling's post, regarding what the Challenge Mode doesn't tell you, I agree, but I don't think the same thing can be said if one was a visual learner. Since I am a visual learner myself, I can vouch for this (but i don't think this would be relevant, because it seems that since I have been playing fighters for a LONG time, I can do it if I see it) but anyways it is a possibility that can happen. -
Thanks for clearing that up, I was also having trouble with that.
