  1. Cool....I'm not a translator though I mostly look at the pictures and charts and infer from there
  2. Hey....anyone else here still play Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom regularly, or even on the side? Been "on a break" from it for some time, just now had a sudden urge to get back to playing Too bad online is mostly barren, but I spend most of my time in Training mode anyway, so...
  3. Thanks....only tried out GG Mode with Sol (and Bandit Revolver is indeed mashable in this mode) Fun thing is that it can be enabled for either player, both players, or randomly. Will try out GG Mode Ky tonight If you guys want I can post some tidbits from the guide, maybe contribute to the wiki a bit
  4. For anyone who has GGX is GG Mode drastically different from the normal mode? Tried it out for the first time since unlocking it this morning and I noticed the gameplay is a bit faster. Also looking through the guide some characters either gain new special attacks, or have their existing ones modified (the most obvious being Ky; there's an entire page about GG Mode Ky) Also there's a matchup diagram for both normal mode and GG Mode. Normal mode I kind of understand but for GG Mode?
  5. so it was an "in-between" update, like Capcom Vs. SNK PRO to Capcom Vs. SNK 2?
  6. Well I just got into the game not too long ago, a few months still play it every once in a while
  7. just got it in the mail today after a long week of waiting..... It's pretty small and compact for a 256-page guide. Even though I can only make out a few bits of Japanese, the pics help me with the Gatling Combo Route charts for each character. Has match-up info for player vs. player as well as Vs. CPU and even includes info on GG Mode lol. Also, info on Guilty Gear X 1.5? All I know of it was that it was a re-release of GGX for the Atomiswave arcade platform, and that's about it.
  8. THIS IS GOOD maybe we can get some new discussion going, bring newbies like me into the fray, vets coming in, fun times THIS IS GOOD
  9. Oh, alright then. Hey, I just found out that there's a Guilty Gear game that was released for the Nintendo DS a few years back. Apparently it's a four-player brawler similar to Smash Bros. or Jump Super Stars rather than the usual 1v1 fare. I saw this on sale at GameStop for about $8 and was considering picking this up along with GG2: Overture on my next visit. Saw some gameplay vids on YouTube; looks pretty fun. Has anyone played it before?
  10. In regard to the storyline, aren't Kliff and Justice dead anyway? I guess it's kind of a Geese/Rugal situation in that Kliff and Justice are there for the fans who missed them from the first Guilty Gear.
  11. Thanks...didn't expect such a quick response :P Figured I might as well see what BlazBlue has to offer...Seems there hardly any new discussion of Guilty Gear around here anyway. Been seeing a used copy of Guilty Gear 2: Overture, but hesitant to pick it up since I've always seen the series as a fighting game series, lol. Worth checking out?
  12. Ok...back for a couple of questions: 1. What's a Guard Point? Anji has some attacks only useable during this "Guard Point" and at first I thought they were like Baiken's attacks where you could counter while guarding but it doesn't appear to be the case. 2. Not necessarily related but I've been thinking about picking up BlazBlue CS Extend soon...is there a real difference in fundamental gameplay from Guilty Gear to BlazBlue and will what I've learned from GG carry over?
  13. Sweet then. I just ordered AC this morning; should have it in a couple of days.
  14. Hello again Playing #Reload for a bit; what's the deal with Millia's QCB+HS? Most of the time it just vanishes after a second but it seems whenever the input is buffered I can control its direction for a bit :/
  15. Geez, that's a bit high for me especially since I can find Accent Core for like, $15 get what I can get, I guess
  16. Um, hello there Dustloop forums A couple of weeks ago I had gotten Guilty Gear X to expand my Dreamcast collection and to try something different from the "Street Fighter" style of fighting games. I read up on the series a bit and watched some vids, but the characters and story seem really interesting; something I can totally dig. Eventually I decided to download XX #Reload off the XBLA marketplace and now I'm setting my sights on Accent Core, since that's what everyone's playing now-a-days and it's conisdered the most recent and best version. I only have a cursory knowledge of the mechanics and stuff so I won't be tearing up any tourney scenes anytime soon (from what I've heard it's pretty hard to get into and I only know the very basic stuff from messing around in training mode/grinding it out in Arcade mode) Um, just a few questions: -What exactly are the "Medal Modes" for? I only tried them once or twice but haven't completed them yet. -Are there any major differences in gameplay mechanics between Accent Core and Accent Core Plus? -For that matter, I've been looking for a copy of Accent Core Plus for the Wii with no luck. Should I just settle for Accent Core on the cheap? thanks in advance I guess.... (goes back into hiding) (...I inquired back at Shoryuken.com and someone linked to this place in a reply suggesting I check out strategies and such) (...I felt a little bit lost after I registered and didn't really have the guts to start posting until now) (...I'll probably have more questions that don't immediately come to mind right now...) (I hope I'm not being a nuisance around here...)
