In the end, you need time and stuff, I played like 120 matches just today cause I was in a roll lol. This is how you get better, you just grind it out. :D I finally fought a good Millia...and oh boy is she trouble with those oki setups and instant overheads. I won maybe a third of the matches but it was all entirely fun. Played the same random person for like 3 hours lol.

GGs for today, those were some fun matches. Slayer just hits like a truck and has pretty decent mixup too. You kinda want to basically not give him any space or time to breath, otherwise tons of damage.

The way I was thinking of getting resets would be dropping a FRKZ combo into them, people would be looking like crazy for a chance to escape the major pain so you'd just drop one on purpose and directly cancel into a downward dash and do the move. The activation of FRKZ there is kinda obvious but during the heat of the moment of a combo, it won't be that obvious.

Hell, even D nails do this now.

Thing is, if you hit with more than one of the 3 nails, the combo won't do crap and we can already sorta do these resets with the single nail. Only situation that comes to mind is punishing a wakeup roll with it and people shouldn't roll anyways.

Only way this would be useful I think is with the B nails really...if you're gonna throw more than one nail, might as well have it be the one that bounces off of the floor, neither A nor C nails are that good for that kind of application. It's basically something to do to keep someone blocking, since triple-poison is just...poison and the web nails have SMP I think. (or at least higher proration so that they'll drop the combo to a crappy version)

ABA is just one of those chars I've no matchup experience against, I gather she like, loses life when her key is powered up and has to drink it back up...and she hits hard lol. Robo-ky is my buddy's main though, so I know what to watch for and how to approach him. :D

GGs SaxPlaya. Was a bunch of fun games against a bunch of different chars. :D Your Jam was just so...odd...I'd never seen one like that. It also was my first match of Slayer after about 15 of them with O-sol so I was a bit rusty, I got my revenge later with my mixups. :P

Hmm, a break seems to be in order again I guess. :p I think you should just...take some pressure off of your mind really. There's nothing hanging in the balance when you play, you play to improve and that happens win or lose. You can't take every fight to be the deciding factor of weather or not you've improved. It's gonna be a gradual process. Just look for doing better and nailing setups and stuff, that counts too.

Hehe, one of Bang's lines during the startup of Shipuugeki (the new DD) is "I live in the moment!" lol. That's one way of saying either I'll get blown up or I'll be awesome.

IAD combos were already kinda easy lol, what this will affect is FRKZ air confirms off of random pokes that you can't react to in time and had to guess which side the dash would put you on and hope you get J4C and not JC, which now won't be an issue any more.

There have been some combos which had the OD cancel where bang was not even in orange life and people managed to get easily over 5k midscreen with it. You basically do it for a kill combo or end it in a reset into the new DD if you have the meter. It doesn't need to last for ever and as long as it lasts long enough for a single full combo it's fine. As for ways to activate it without an OD cancel but still combo, stuff that you can jump cancel or web nails should work. I think 5B>2B>6C>jump FRKZ>stuff should work, 2D counters and 6D counters as well. Actually, J4C is JC and JC is J2C now. :p

I still can't believe Bang actually breaths fire now, I mean, really, they can do some freaking crazy stuff with that now. His stomach swells up a bit so I guess it really is Goukakyu no Jutsu after all...now all he needs is a kamehameha! :D Uhh, overdrives are a universal system, they all work the same. Bang and everyone can use what is called a "cancel overdrive" which cancels all special-cancellable moves into the OD but also halves the duration. We also get AIR FRKZ now, since all ODs are able to be activated in the air too, so not only can you cancel a combo with it, you can confirm it off of an air hit too!

GGs to everyone I played tonight. Slayer is hella fun, despite online links being a tad difficult to pull of consistently. That damage though, still there.

I don't think it's an issue of the netcode lol. It's just there not being many people online.

Well, it'll take a while. You saw the damage O-sol does, right? He's supposed to be like C+ tier in this, I get damage off of just a few hard to land starters though. Eddie gets damage off of stuff that lead to unblockable setups where he can get that much more damage and another unblockable, that's what makes him the best. Don't focus at the damage chars do, focus on the ease with which they get that damage.

GG is balanced lol. Even bottom tiers can kick ass. If you get hit by a heavy starter you'll take a ton of damage no matter the char, some people just have MUCH easier time landing those starters than others. Lol, thanks. That's mostly conjecture. Most people are shit at the game. Most of them don't even go online at all, so if you look at the percentages of people, more offline people than online people suck, you have tons and tons who don't dare to go online cause they fear they'll get owned. What we talk about is people who take the game seriously when we say netplay people suck...and well, people falsely assume that everyone who plays online takes the game as seriously as an offline tourneygoer, which is also false. Most people offline and online both don't take it seriously enough to get better than "shit", why only netplay gets this rep is because, I guess, people on netplay think they're not shit when they are but...how many offline people are there who think they're the best in the world just cause they constantly beat their small circle of friends but have never played a proper match against someone who actually knows how to play the game in their entire life? Again, the offline percentage is much higher in this too. Basically, if you run into someone who takes the game seriously, netplay or not, the time they'd have put in the game will separate them and make them certainly "not shit". They may not win EVO but they will know their stuff and will be a danger to most if not all good players. I was strictly a netplay warrior before going to my first casuals last year but I still whopped people left and right from the first time I went there, people who had been playing mostly offline, that's cause I had put 10 times the time they had in the game so even though I had to adjust to stuff, that experience mattered. Experience it what makes you not-shit, lag and stuff you get to adjust to eventually and you can still learn valuable lessons which make you actually better.
