5D rc combos don't seem to do that much more damage, I think you'd get more if you just did 2B>daifunka if you're facing a crouching foe and have meter to burn. 5D oki on the other hand is great, if you're worried about reversals just IAD J4B or something.

Oh cool. You had coffee powers. XD And I saw the DL lineup so I figured they could handle it lol. I tried getting back on p4A but I hadn't seriously played the game in over 2 months and it was just bleh having to deal with people mashing DPs and stupid stuff unique to it again so I just let someone else take my place. Too much GG and BB in my system now lol.

He taught me some stuff up-close that one time, it was eye-opening. I didn't know Baiken could seal up buttons. XD

I'm not the type to let myself get hit or take it easy, I always try, I don't really know what to do against Baiken mainly, besides a guy called Vyers here, yours is the only other one I've ever faced. If you see me do stupid stuff it's mainly matchup inexperience, I'm not letting you get hits in lol. I'm mainly trying to get used to your alpha counters and the freaking tatami forcing me to halt my momentum, sometimes I just rush in and get matted, you kept the pressure up very good today though. You capitalized on a lot of random pokes too. O-Sol's damage depends on his starter, if I get a counter hit with my force break or a flame pillar and I confirm it right or if you let me get lvl 3 fire, I can eat half your life with a single combo easy. If I'm level 1 fire I'll just go for oki situations with weakish damage while I build my fire up and gain meter and fish for counter fafnirs and crossup pillars and corner grabs. So, to answer your question O-sol with meter/fire > Baiken > O-sol without meter/fire.

They had spoken of a "console only" char and since Izayoi IS in the arcades, it does stand to reason.

In my eyes the slide of 623B is a buff almost, it allows for 2B and even 5C to combo after it, that's great. J623B is probably the biggest nerf and what it basically does is diminish our random air poke confirms when near the corner. Beyond that, Bang looks quite buffed in my eyes.

Izayoi is augmented rushdown I'd say. She has crap for defense so she can't really be described as a Jin, the man with the 4 DPs, she's not really a zoner since her projectile's function is to either build her unique gauge or to let her enter safely somewhat akin to Bang's nails. She's kinda like an offensive Hakumen/Tsubaki hybrid with I-no dashes (not Aigis dashes, she doesn't dash-cancel her normals on a whim and she can't aim her glide dash like Aigis can) and teleports.

The burst gauge also refills if you finish a match while in OD, I think you get back something like 30% of it so sealing the match with it or using it right away sounds like a good plan. The issue is that at the time where OD would last the longest, people are used to bursting. We'll have a lot of people simply forget the new option and picking a good-ole burst for quite some time, until at least people master OD combos and confirms from OD cancels and stuff. For Hakumen I think early OD is the strongest, Izayoi seems to be able to get charges relatively easily with her projectile and also expends them as a quick pace so just having 4 charges right away doesn't seem that great when compared to a nasty OD-cancel combo. Tsubaki is in-between them I'd say.

Basically, judge the distance, if you need to be closer do forward grab, if you need to be further off do a back grab. Don't be in running animaton, don't combo into it. If they extend their hitbox into you, you can grab them from further off, which is how you can beat some slower things with grabs and artificially increase your throw range and it really does act as a reversal. As for my gun blaze crossup, you're not supposed to be able to grab me out of it if I do it right, sometimes I just messed it up and went into it when it was too late, if I did do it perfectly I'd be completely out of range, you just need to identify when I'm doing it right and when I'm not and grab accordingly. The trick with it is to fool you into trying to grab me when I do it right by just a hair, cause that gets you counter hit. Incidentally, if you get hit by a flame pillar and you see me connect with the dash jHS, that's a good place to burst lol.

Right, this thing sounds quite stressful. You don't have to push, the game isn't going anywhere and you're not gonna get left behind in the dust if you stop for a few days or a week or something. It's not even gonna seem all that different. Of course not playing hurts you somewhat but playing when you're not having fun is even worse and defeats the point of playing altogether. It makes you both dislike the game and wastes your time, even if you do improve by a tiny bit during it. As for throwing, just whenever you think you may be in range, throw, just do it, you'll be surprised at the results. I mean, with Baiken I can see why but you didn't even throw with Potemkin, you uses his command grab fine but his normal grabs were left untouched and these are the ones you need to practice with XD. Just try and keep in mind that throws rule and are almost as good as actual reversals and whenever you feel like reversalling and may be in range, throw.

Hmm, it sounds like you're putting too much pressure on yourself and you've stopped having fun. This is a sign you need to take a break, reclaim your cheery attitude and delve onto the game refreshed. You were playing better last time we played, I wasn't taking it easy on you as you may have thought then either, I think you're just on a low as you said so you need to take a small breather and take it easy. I wasn't bored in any case, so don't worry about that lol. You play the game fine, some people out there play it even better. Just cause you lose it doesn't mean you don't know how to play, it means that they're just better, that's all. No reason to be down on yourself, just be up on them and look forward to becoming like they are. As for your fundementals, you don't throw enough! I know I've told you before but even with Baiken's crap grab range, you need to figure out how to throw or to at least yomi and tech throws, they're just huge in this game. Also, use your burst to escape big combos early, it refills so unlike BB you don't wanna save em.

Well, I didn't drop as many things and stuff. I confirmed things right and got my FRCs and stuff to come out almost all of the time. I'm not really "new" as I've played BB for 3+ years now, I just never really had anyone to play GG with on a daily basis so I didn't put much time into it and whatnot which is why I'm not quite as good with it as I am with BB...but just playing more shall fix that for both of us I think. :p

You can punish a ton of unsafe stuff with it so it'll stop people from doing a whole lot more things than simply jumping. Tsubaki won't get to charge, Rachel won't be able to throw anything out from afar, same for Nu. It's gonna be very useful to have 4 seals now.

Umm, do we have like...a Mu vs Bang unique song or something? Cause in two matches now where they fought there has been this new one with JP vocals which is definitely not Mu's theme unless they redid all the chorus and replaced it with Jrock-ish sound lol.

Great games Zong One. Your Robo-ky and Slayer were damn scary, sorry for being boring and sticking to one char but I can't really use anyone else yet. XD
