Well sometimes trains can move all around and sometimes get you with magnets that then sees you getting ran over by the train over and over again. He is ether winning right now because we have no idea what is going on (since we all agree he has some really cool new stuff but also weird changes) OR he is legit now and no-one truly appreciates that. Grapplers always have a hard time and they can't all be like astaroth from SC (who to me is an amazing grappler power house character) so really it is up to us to play tager and decide where we will be then still be more awesome than any others because WE HAVE MAGNETS FOR HANDS! I personally think tager will be fun this time around. Maybe the collider change is a good thing and we just can't see what new toys we truly have to work with right now. (we lose collider but gain an Air buster, an air grapple, a upwards spark bolt and we have no idea what his overdrive can potentially do until we can get our grubby mittens on him.

My mains are Iron Tager and Relius Clover. Iron Tager for his fun grappling game and some truly sore moves (been teaching a few tagers how to buster correctly with maybe a few people elbows :3). I tend to like the big power house guys who put out 5 hits with 3/4 of your health gone for it. Relius Clover for sheer undeniable fun of his play style. In conjunction with Ignis you can do some really fun things while also maybe throwing out some taunts after denying an attempt (often after a 236C>214A). Also, his Astral is by far one of my favourites to land. First time I did it was trolling my friend in practice (he was wanting to see makotos so I slyly activated controller 2 and connect with relius. He attempted, I blocked and I counter astraled XD). Funny: I actually hated Relius when I heard of what he did...now he is my tied favourite character...go figure XD

I know ignis is relius' wife but in what way is ignis different from nirvana as I have never refer to ignis as a nox nyctores (sorry if I spelt that wrong) but yet they are similar in so many ways, what makes ignis different from nirvana?

I personally find it also helps that when you find a character you want to main, with their combos don't go whole hog on them at first. Break it down and do it bit by bit then put them all together (while ragna is easy, I couldn't do his standard 6a>j.c>j.d>JC>j.c>j.d>623D>236C>623D at first...looking back it's like riding a bike XD). I also have 2 methods of doing the 623 motion depending on direction (because I am on a pad); going right I do a 6323 motion (so rolling down then back) however going left is a sharper 623 where I take the stick straight to 2 and flick hard to 3. Also if some moves give you a pain in the ass time learning certain combos (like tager's AC>AC whiff) then I personally found study the move in action (in other words going into training and doing it repeatidly) helps not only show when you can do moves out of it but also helps develop you timing on when to buffer your next move (in the case of tager, I watch for when he is just rising from marry foe face to floor by AC to then begin buffering the AC whiff). Other things that help: Just pummel their face into the floor for 5 minutes. Then again that's me needing stress relief after the millionth time I've tryed to do the freaking move and it doesn't do it! XD

Well, some basic training with combos and damn. Those 5a combos are helping me get more damage (I often use them when I gadget finger so that I can beat out any mashed attack but I do mix up with ye olde tager buster gimmick!). Just getting my thumbs back into the feel of the stick (kind of got addicted to magicka for a bit then I got a new graphics tablet...yea, science can wait I'm screwing around XD) however it does feel REALLY good getting consistent Egadgets (something about tager doing the people's elbow just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The rock ftw!)

Yeah, my combos sucked. However in time between then and now I have been getting some new combos from the thread here and gave them some practice on a friend. While I am still using mainly grabs to get off my colliders, my friend does seem to notice a distinct amount of pain from the Egadget into 5A>5B>5C>6C which then followed into another collider which I then fluffed any follow-up on XD (trying to get out of my back 2D habit after every collider. Practicing that Egadget timing. That elbow drop is quite tricky at times.) Thanks for the info and I will get my mind wrapped around more actual combos.

Got 3 videos I am going to link here...while 2 of the 3 are victories you'll notice on the one with taokaka at the end you'll see a long list of videos...most of those are losses T.T Would like advice on what not to do in the future so I can actually do something. And if you need more videos to access anything, I got lots however I'll just stick with the current 3 for now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28pMKX_gR3M&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9BoNPAcgEg&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqZhnrA4AIE&feature=youtu.be These are taken with my phone so please don't be too harsh on the quality. Also I hope you don't mind me talking during one of them, mainly because you can't hear much anyway. Regardless, let the barrage of 'how could you not of done a magna-tech wheel' begin. (as to answer it, I was putting in the command at every chance I got, during wake-ups and everything but he wouldn't do it. Often I would be hit while trying to do it when I thought I could get it in and often he would only sledge...really pissed me off to say the least).

Not sure where I should ask so here I go. How do I record my videos for this? Do I need to get a capture card or are there other ways I can record my matchs so I can be critqued on how badly I do my combos?

My friend plays haku and...well I tend to get a bit annoyed at him for it. Currently it's to and fro about who beats who as the games are very often cases of who manages to get in first (because he knows I can perform some nasty combos that hurt a lot then force him away into a game of now I can wait and he has to get agressive) however I tend to find his drive problematic. My friend is very liberal with it, he will D me all day long with good timing even at short range. He doesn't really have many combos with haku (mainly he doesn't have that powerful air carry combo, don't know the input for it and he doesn't seem to know about it somehow) so often he relies heavily on his long range slashs and pokes to get me or keep me away. Even jumping he catchs me out (however, kin, I think you may of helped me deal with his anti-air somewhat). Is there any special properties I should know about his drive (haku's) where certain ones don't block certain tager attacks. (however I do get him back for his cheesey D plays. I pick relius then troll him with 214b, gets him everytime ^_^).

I fought an arakune and got my rear end handed to me twice by him. I could get my combos going into huge damage however one dropped combo and he just curses me and I'm dead. He just smashed me to pieces with unblockable combos (well, I think they were. Does getting high, low and overheaded at once count as unblockable?) and thus my health just disappeared and trying to get in against him was near on if not impossible. I few B sledges throw his cloud caught him off-guard once or twice but that was it. It was just impossible to get him magnetised. Personally, I think I should of been jumping more and using tager plane (J.b) and such however he was just too quick for me to keep up so any advice to ether catch him so I introduce his mask to Mr. floor or anyways of at least slowing him down. Possibly any ways of dealing with the bugs while cursed (I know being cursed means you may as well put down your controller and wait for it to wear off but anything to at least lessen or counter him while in this state).

Strongly considering a stick since I am enjoying blazblue greatly. So far, the may issues tend to lie in performing motions on the stick going to the left that involve the wierd 623 motion (not sure if that has a name at all) which often kills me when going left however...strange I never had that issue when I dabbled with ragna (could infernal divider you both ways and not care however it did feel awkward). I think it may a mind block I have I guess...ether that or I just find going left awkward! As a note: I do main tager, however I intend to make relius another main (with ragna as good fun character. I also occassionally screw around with bang just to hear the fuh rin ka zhan tune, that tune needs to be selectable as stage music!). Back on topic of the stick that has come into the discussion: I have seen sticks however they seem to be quite expensive so what are people's opinions? I mean I am considering getting a custom one (most likely tager motif to it) so just wondering what sort of price range a decent one is or are all of them pretty expensive and thus I should just fork out the little extra for a custom one?

not sure if mentioned yet but it seems to can do a 4b+c>6b>AC>whatever follow-up on this you like as far as I can see. Not sure if it's worth anything but it's a combo none the less.
-
thanks mort. Yeah, that AC into AC is a pain (except when I get it going from left to right, still make my friends cringe with it then XD...however he is still burst happy when I try and land the people's elbow -.-). Well, tager, relius....best polish off those magnets and puppets because we're about to show some people how they work and that they ain't no child's toy! (also going to set myself to 2p from now on in training).

Well put mildly, I have a really annoying issue in that I can't go in both directions with combos. Some basic ones with my tager I can do (grab into collider which get's me back onto my 'strong' side of the screen) and same with my relius (however he has an issue getting the opponent back onto the other side of the screen). It just infuriates me so greatly and often I find it hard to deal with it if my opponent catches on at all. Anything you guys can suggest that may help me get a bit better at going left a little quicker than having to retrain my thumb for all the combos T.T Or is this something all of us has had to deal with at one point or another and I should just quit my bitching?
