I would agree with Mitsuru (my tournament life sheds tears on this matchup) and Yosuke, but Kanji? All you have to do is run away and use some tricks.

I use the default A C B D But I took some time to get used to it honestly. Coming from BB, I kept confusing the A & B buttons. After playing for an hour or so, it became second nature. Luckily, I can still play BB lol.

Yeah, my usual 5D combo is like 5B > sweep > garu > stuff, but I figured I might as well learn this as well.

I'm having a tad bit of trouble hitting 5D > j.B > j.A > stuff combo. The j.A never comes out.

Ah, ok. I've gotten considerably better, and I'd like to try offline as well. I'm not discrediting anyone on netplay or anything, but I think online & offline are two different bags of worms. I was thinking about going on Fridays when school goes back in session, though.

I've got to practice that combo. If I didn't press 5C, I'd do like 5B > sweep > SB.Garu [9] > D.Garu [2] > etc. I can't really do the combos without sb.Garu .

I was looking forward to when the game when they announced it, and I even watched Chaos;Head & Stiens;Gate in anticipation of it coming out in February (S;G is godlike though). I still kinda wanna play it, and I'll buy it whenever it comes out, just to main Kurisu .

IIRC, the invulnerability he gets during it prevents Megidolaon from activating.

Played 25 matches today (and won 23), and I realized how good Mind Charge is it. That one second to input a move or something to react to your opponent is godlike. Saving my ass against Mitsuru.

As a variation of the Mahamon setup in the corner: Stuff > 2C > 214B > 214CD > Mahamon. 5CD (or 4CD, depending on if you're already facing the corner or not) > 5C(2) > 2C > 236AB > 5C(2) > 2C > 214B > 44 214CD. The grab is untechable, so in theory, if they're not expecting the grab and they do not have a burst, this is game for you.

Yeah, I've done that. I don't know how to followup though, I haven't really tried it in the lab. I usually go for 5B > 5C(2) > j.C then IAD 5B or IAD 2A to reset pressure.

Nah, I haven't sounds pretty good though. My usually game involves 5D or j.D tech traps, and throwing out 5D in random places. This blockstring is kinda crappy, but I sometimes get people with stuff like 2B > j.B > land 5D. More often than not, people read my 5Ds now. I still catch people with 2C oki in the corner though. I'm like "Yeah, mash them buttons on wakeup, bro ."

I need a whole lot of new tricks. People are hardly falling for the 5D/j.D resets and the gimmicky pressure lol. Ah, man, did I loathe this.

If my opponent is coming from the air, I use 2B. Anything else, I wait for an opening and IAD/Evasive Action, or try to punish something. I play Liz, by the way.

Be wary of doing maragidyne, as 6AB can go right through it.

Do you mean that keyboard player? He looked really impressive, despite using a very odd control scheme (I'm clueless as to how that even works). I watched the stream, and it's too bad he got eliminated, but he got pretty far nonetheless. Did you play any casuals at SJ, btw?

Would someone mind explaining why Aigis is placed so highly? Is it because of that nasty Orgia pressure?

To be quite honest, you can AOA, and input 214214ABCC. That works for me, at least. I think people have figured out all of the Liz tricks, honestly. They don't work on my friends anymore (I play them a lot, so it's understandable), and some people I've run into don't tech after 5C (2) in the corner, or after Agi midscreen. Infinite sadness.

Is there a way to beat Naoto's j.C? 2B doesn't seem to work, but I may be mistiming it.
