Just finished testing this on all characters and I can happily say it is not char specific. The only difference there is from the low profile 5D relaunch comboes is that it requires a longer dj, for the j.C to hit. Overall this is actually easier too considering none of the characters require a dashing 5A.

Yeah, it's strange, I have yet to have Thien rage on me in ranked...his connection almost exploded last time I played him tho. GGs to the few that actually allowed me to play them on ranked (TaokakaEdge, MaJiiCx, Dances w Ninjas, Sckyre, Koinonea, Thien, Freezama, NemesisEnforcer, ElixirDaath). If you were playing a well experienced player they'd know that it can be escaped by a quick tech followed by a jump. Of course the jump can be baited in many ways (5C, 5A, etc.) after the j.C. btw, the one you mentioned is also one of my favorites.
