Okay, thanks Ethereal S, I've fixed the list!
-
Ethereal S, in your list, which are the song names and which are the artist names? For now, I'm putting: Left-hand side = Song Name Right-hand side = Artist Name Lemme know if it's wrong. Edit: well I think i figured it out but can you double-check, I'm still kinda unsure. However, I might as well say this: if you're going to give info, try to post like Ethereal S did (which is the logical way): CM name (characters) Song name - Artist/Group (Album/other source)

Has anyone else been getting perpetual 503 errors from Hameko-Uploader? I haven't been able to download anything from there in over a month. Could someone tell me why I would be getting 503 errors (I'm not 100% sure what a 503 error is)?

First off, I'm not sure where I've ever seen an official source say that Baiken's family name is "Seishino", but hey, I stopped paying attention to story stuff last year, so whatever. Second off, if anything, I would rather go with your latter suggestion, that last names be dropped, as opposed to making everyone have their full names. But I don't think it's really worth changing anyway - the point is to make sure that it's clear which board belongs to which character.

I've updated the first post of this thread with the first iteration of the CM BGM list as compiled by epid (with minor corrections and additions by myself). Now, I've requested it in my first post, but there's no harm in asking again: If you know the name of a song for a CM and it is NOT listed, please post here or PM me and I will add it to the list. Two things I *must* know to add it to the list: - CM name; - BGM name. Some things that are *recommended* to pass along to me: - BGM artist (if it's a cover/remix, knowing the original artist's name is nice, too); - which character(s) the CM is based on (i.e. is it a Jam CM, or an Isuka CM, or a multi-character CM, or ... etc.); - name and/or URL of the website where you got the CM; - (failing the above) name and/or URL of a website where you can get the BGM.
-
Well, for starters, you can download the SBO3 finals with Arisaka from combovideos.com , or you can go to the thread in this board and get the SBO3 torrent; there are several good Robo-Ky players taped, even if only one of them made it to the final match

At Act's blog: miu-act2.seesaa.net/ he has several sets of files that look like match videos. However, each set has a ".bat" file which I'm unfamiliar with, so I don't know how to open that, and the rest of the matches are all labelled ".00#" (# = 1, 2, ...) with unknown file types. If anyone has been able to watch these, could you tell what you are viewing them with? I've tried WMPlayer10 already, and it doesn't work.
-
Look back a couple of pages or so, there is at least one (I think possibly two) May combo vid already uploaded.
-
Did you try copying the link location into a new window before trying to download the movies? (At that site, xeno, you can't download the videos from just clicking on the links.) Edit after xeno's edit: Well, this is the help thread, so there's no need to feel bad ::

Although the song name *might* be "Holy Ray", I know for certain that the katakana says "Na-i-to-me-a" <=> "Nightmare", which is the alias used by one of the players at night.s12.xrea.com/movie1.htm, aka "Holy Ray". I think Nightmare may be the Dizzy player there, in which case that tag you got is referring to the author of the CM, not the BGM artist.

All people having problems with downloading Slash vids from Globetown should see my updated first post, please! (Hopefully this will cut back on the number of requests.) And thanks for the uploads, Maho! Sadly, I couldn't get the "hame_2489" to work either.

I'm currently having a problem downloading videos off of Hameko-Uploader. For some reason, whenever I select a file to download, it looks like I *almost* get the connection established, but then Hameko directs me to their 503 error page. Therefore, I was wondering... : 1) ... If anyone know what could be causing this? (Just based on what I've said, cuz that's all that I can really tell you besides specific browser settings.) or 2) ... If anyone could upload "hame_2453" (Dead Rave) and "hame_2489" (<kanji> Time Walker <more kanji>)? Thanks in advance!
-
Wish granted! P.S.: One day, I will compile this information into a list as well, but I have other priorities right now which disallow me from doing such. (Volunteer efforts are welcomed and appreciated!)

Sorry about that... WindWayWalk I've also fixed my original post. No, I keep getting the 403 error message: "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /~teiou/ggxad.zip on this server," which is really strange... The first two are available at ComboVideos.com; I've uploaded Wickedness Gear to: http://s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=12J09G5U0F2L20CMJHSCYUZROW ...oh yeah, and Reckless is also available at flexcool.org/Downloads.htm .

For your enjoy: Sonic Blade WindWayWalk

YouSendIt has its own program that you can use to resume interrupted downloads. (On the other hand, just use Opera 8.5 instead of all those lesser internet browsers ) However, The Unholy Order downloaded just fine for me, so I think it may be you guys. Also, please try to keep down the chit-chat; i.e. talk about how "sick" Kubo's Srayer is in the Srayer board, okay? I'm going to trim some of the posts here because they're starting to get off-topic. BTW selfishstyle: thanks for the help, I really appreciate it! I will upload those Johnny CMs you asked for by the end of this week.
-
acdhell, I think you should just wait for trag to post the rest of the Slash files he's getting in the "New XXS Videos!" thread. And I'm pretty sure that if anyone had Slash videos with Testament, they would have posted it up already!
-
And to get things started off: I think BioLogIn will be posting up most of his Venom CM collection within a few days, so check back at the Links thread for the next couple of days. Otherwise, I'll see if I can hook you up
-
To avoid cluttering up the Links thread, I would like everyone to use this thread for posting up any requests for combo or match videos that you may be looking for. Before asking, though, do a quick search of the AC Video Posting thread to double-check that the video you're looking for is still available. Otherwise, feel free to make a polite request for what you're looking for and (hopefully) someone around here will get back to you soon. In addition, if you are having problems with viewing or getting access to currently available CMs and/or matches, post here -- with as much relevant detail as you can give -- about what seems to be the problem. Just saying, "I can't see X match video," doesn't give me much to work with if you want me to help you. Here's a quasi-FAQ list -- please peruse and try out the suggestions before posting for help: Setting up FlashGet for downloading (match) videos: Known site-specific problems: - For any site that has its videos uploaded to Globetown.net: - When downloading from MegaUpload, if the filename comes up as a bunch of letters & numbers, rename it to whatever you like with the .rar extension (ex: filename.rar), & it should extract fine. (Thanks to Sir Plus.) - A lot of Japanese sites (in particular, sites that have files stored on the page.freett.com server) will not let you download a file by left-clicking on the link -- you will usually end up with an error/404 page. To remedy this, try the following steps in order until you successfully download the file: 1) right-click on the link and select "Save Link As..." or the equivalent option; 2) right-click on the link and select "Copy Link Location" or the equivalent option, then paste (CTRL+V or right-click -> Paste) the copied URL in the address bar, then hit "Enter"; 3) give up and politely ask someone here for the file - To download videos from YouTube with FireFox, there is a plug-in on the FireFox website that allows you to do so; otherwise, you can google a search string like "YouTube Downloader" and you should be able to find some kind of FLV player/downloader. The one that I used to use is video.qooqle.jp/dl -- it's very straightforward and hasn't given me any problems at all. However, it's been on "maintenance" for a while now... The ever-popular FILEBANK - Please refer to this post and this post for downloading from FileBank using Internet Explorer, and this post for a guide on how to download from FileBank using FireFox. - For downloading from Miu-Act-1000.seesaa.net: 1) Download the batch file ( ".bat" ) and the parts ( ".00#") into their own folder. 2) Open up Notepad. (It's under Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories.) 3) In Notepad, open up the batch file. (Note that when you go to File -> Open and browse your directory for files to open, you will have to set it to view "All Files", not just ".txt" files. You can set that in the pull-down menu below the text field.) 4) Delete any lines that start with the word "echo". 5) Save the batch file (to the same name and same place). 6) Go back to the folder containing the batch file. 7) Select and run the batch file. (A command-line MSDOS window will pop up and run the batch file, putting together the parts into one movie.) 8) Watch movie. 9) Enjoy. If it still doesn't work, it may be because you don't have the latest Divx codec . (Thanks to Sir Plus and bluekaiser.)

Yes, it's definitely, "The Hell Song" by Sum 41.
-
The second song in "The Last Carnival" is "Ba-ta-fu-ra-i" <=> "Butterfly" by Ellegarden. But this is all I can make out of the first song: "Tsu-mi-na-ra... to kanjikanji wa kanji-fu" by "A-sa-ki"... sorry  I couldn't really make out the kanji to even look it up, and what I did figure out was just from the CM's opening screen.
-
Awesome, thanks for the reply! And yes, I googled "Dancing For Rain", and the band is definitely Rise Against.

If you are submitting information to be posted on this list, the format should be as follows: CM name (characters) Song name - Artist/Group (Album/other source) NB: If the CM name is unknown but some of the "staff" members are known (as in, who made the video, who performed the combos, etc.), please post that instead and hopefully someone will be able to determine the name from the information given (if possible). If no information is known whatsoever besides the BGM info, then give the URL you found the movie at. If you want to find out the name of that really cool song from that really cool combo video you just downloaded, ask about it here! Just make sure that you're not wasting everyone's time by asking for a song name when it's provided in the video itself. ...by the way, a little thing I've noticed is that the BGM's name is usually the same as the file name (although that's not always true), so that can occasionally save you the hassle of hunting around for the name. To get this started: What band and what song is being played on alex p's "BeastoclypsePOW!" movie?
