Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!

One: Switch to stick if you please, it is considered overall better. Two: That's completely unanswerable. Depends on character, strategy and a whole shit-load more things than just the controller. -
Spam Gunflame. Chip death for the win.

Definately sounds like Force Break Fafnir -> Tyrant Rave combo.

I have but the difference is the damage mitigation. Eventually Testament just starts dealing mediocre amounts, not even worth continuing. Doesn't it scale down to 1 damage at some point?
-
It's possible Potemkin just didn't tech? I doubt GG would let such a damaging combo exist by spamming the same move. I'd say that's almost as bad as Dust loop. Its only saving grace, should it exist, is only Potemkin can be nailed by it.

Watch Feint Prorate at like 150%, leading into a 45% damage combo.

You're not paying for the materials, you're paying for the copyrights and royalties. It's not so bad on a mass-produced game because those costs are split equally among sales, however on something that isn't highly produced, the price is jacked up. Kit will be pretty expensive too, I'm sure, since it comes with the harddrive. -

It'll probably cost you above five-grand. I've seen them selling a kit, however, the price wasn't displayed yet. -
That kid's arms are unhealthily thin to wear something like that... elbow-length gloves make him look almost female.

In regards to Hatred Edge's original post... I only have one thing to say really: I love Dragon Install the way it is. Sure, it could be buffed up but that would break Sol's balance. Dragon Install is ridiculously strong, its only natural to have an aftershock attached onto it in order to lower its usage. I may be too noobish to realize but I do utilize Dragon Install quite a bit when I'm down and almost out. It's great for unnerving your opponent, and even more powerful in regards to destroying your opponent's tension or chipping them to death. Gun-flame spam will take off about a 10th of their HP in just chip damage if it is all blocked, and if they FD it, it will destroy a good portion of their tension. It's great for evening the playing field, or even removing half their HP. Two to three Super-Volcanic Vipers will remove 50% of their HP if timed correctly, even more if you follow through with a second Dragon Install. Also, I believe one can combo Dragon Install with Sidewinder if placed properly... but I don't own Slash so I've been unable to test that theory. But hey, to each his own. I prefer the ballistic type fighting.

My earnest advice to you is to just simply play the character you like most. Don't base your decision on what other people think of characters, or if the character is common or not. If you're really into becoming a Guilty Gear player, you'll stand out above the crowds of bandwagon players. Play them all, check their styles, use what you feel most comfortable with. I have, and always will, be a heavy-hitter that relies on pressure. Sol fits my style perfectly, and because of that, Sol is my main. If that were to change in an upcoming adjustment, I would probably choose another character that is closer to what Sol used to be. Play what fits your style.
