I don't think the Azure can be removed, its nature is to consume everything around, including the weilder and ya know..I wonder if Ragna would bleed out if it was removed, isn't it the only reason he was even able to survive getting his arm cut off in the first place? Then again, he lost his left arm with no problems soooo. But yea, as much shit as Ragna gets, its mostly his own fault; even he acknowledged that he just kinda accepted the power of the Azure without even understanding the nature of it or trying to, he just wanted it for the sake of destroying everything that pissed him off. And he's a self righteous asshole who tends to put his foot in his mouth. I still love him, but yea...he's not completely devoid of fault when it comes to his misfortunes.

I think its because Ragna's grimoire was originally the black beast, so its naturally inclined to take souls; so I guess its just something Ragna needs to overcome. So Noel's or Terumi's Azure's were never broken, the former probably because she has the Kusangi, and Terumi because he created the grimoire in the first place.

Wait, its broken? So its still incomplete without Nu's half?

Oh, that could be interesting to see in BB4: Ragna understanding the beast and becoming far more powerful. But something I'm trying to figure out, is Ragna the only one who can utilize the power of the Black Beast or do Noel, Terumi, and Es have the same capability? From what it sounds like, only Ragna and Touya have the potential to attain the Azure's true power.

I was actually thinking of something along those lines: Ragna comes to some realization about himself and embraces the grimoire's power and uses it as his own, because isn't that what the Azure is, to make what one perceives real? In any case, Noel. She's not Saya, plain and simple, but for all intents and purpose she does act like a sibling to Ragna & Jin, so yea...semantics.

Anyway, let's talk about Noel, ok so I've been fed this little tidbit, her and Ragna's positions have effectively been switched; Ragna is the brainwashed one, who Noel wants to rescue. So, how does everyone think that will play out.

I don't know how Xie judges characters, but if he does judge them by their gameplan then the reasons you listed might be the reasons; her options are mostly dependent on what item she has and while she can function just fine without them, she's far more effective with them. So I'd imagine playing effectively with Platinum comes down to adapting to certain situations depending on what item you have. Now, I don't play Platinum at all so I can't really say my word is worth anything, but its something I've noticed watching matches with her, and playing against them. Her bat gives her a decent reversal, her kitty hammer lets her get in better, etc. etc.

I think its because her game plan is randomized most of the time.

Basically, people hate how much of a damage buff he's gotten, and how good of an approach tool Agito is. So their solution is to beat him with the nerf stick.

This is why I always go to Arcade, they can't escape me once they lock in.

Its like they wanted to give him as much damage as possible, but just made everything else about the character unfun. What's the point of having more damage off of combos if they're nigh useless.

Its quite when everyone hates your character.

I'd only accept a combo rate nerf if they gave him some decent average damage.

* The Magatama gauge has been change so that it fills more slowly while he is midair So...how is this gonna affect our combos considering most of them are in the air?
