It helps when you get a knockdown near the corner. If you get a knockdown and your in the corner, 5D>jump to switch places and go for mix-up. If you get a knockdown while your opponent is in the corner, just stay there and wait for a reaction. If they try to evade dash, the magnet effect of 5D will bring them to you; if they try to jump, jump straight up and do a air grab; if they try to super jump, delay the 5D until they're about mid-jump and go after them.

The easiest answer would probably be Baiken. However, I haven't played either characters extensively to know if that's really true. I main Venom/Sol. Anyways, I think I could finally come this friday at the lounge but I feel hesitant. I have work and will arrive somewhere around 8 p.m. What I'm more worried about is who exactly I'm suppose to go to. I know where the lounge is but I dunno who to identify you people with. I finally played a kick ass Carl, and when I come here, there's no information, nor at the Carl forum about this matchup. I'll try and help. At long range, Relius is superior; Val Lanto out-classes all of Carl's and Nirvana's moves. Val Tus and Lyra are also good tools to zone him with. However, Carl can use Nirvana to shield himself and have her attack Ignis to de-summon her. Still, they can't really attack you at long range. Without Ignis, I'd say you guys are even. Carl can use Volante or Fuocco to get at you, but at max range, you can easily avoid them. You can't harm him at max range either without Ignis, so it's a standstill until someone gets close. Although, I have to say you should watch out for dash>Allegretto. Surprisingly fast, and covers ground fast. Generally, in mid-range, 5B and 2B are you're tools to get at your opponent. Carl's only attack that can compete with your 5B/2B is 5C, which is slower in start-up. However, Carl is difficult to pin down thanks to his command dash and Nirvana providing back-up. Don't let up on your pressure on Carl; remember, Vivace is vulnerable to low attacks. Point-blank range is where you lose to Carl. His 2A is faster and if it connects, you can have fun getting crossed up with his j.2C. Carl can easily do x attack, instand air dash j.2C and go for a combo. j.2C can also be used in a blockstring but only usable once per string. You could barrier block the first hits of Carl's attacks before he uses j.2C, hoping it won't cross up on you. Led Ley works sometimes~. At close range, Carl also has 8D and Con Brio. Both have armor, and break primers. It's especially when you try Val Tus for oki after knockdown; Carl can activate Nirvana before you can activate Ignis.

Dam you TD. Your really solid and use other characters, while Im stuck with only Relius. That aside, if you want some better pressure, try using 3C in your blockstrings. As the only jcable move on block we've got, you can use that to get in; even better if you use 6D or 2D as cover. Also, you can try doing 2B>6D>6A>6D. It will make your overhead completely safe if you time it right. Then, if you can condition your opponent to know that blockstring, you can do 2B>6D>6A/2B/throw>6D to keep pressuring them. Remember that you can only use 6A from 5A, 2A, 5B, and 2B. I also like to do random 6C's in my blockstrings to fish for fatals although 6C is slow and you have frame disadvantage on block. With Ignis, you can cover the startup, and if it connects, you can do 214A, led ley or 214C. Same with 2C. On block, after 2C you can use 3C, 214A, led ley, or 6C. @00:26 you did a fatal 2C. I've trained myself to always use 214C after a fatal 2C, Ignis summoned or not. I would then use sjc>jB>jC>9D>jC>9D>air id lauger>214B. Gives 38 meter and does about 3.8k damage *drains 2/3 of Ignis meter though*. However since you were near the corner, I think doing this would be better: 2C(fatal)>214C>6C>id lauger>214A>whatever. I think you should use more 4D and 214C to have pinned Zeth more. Or have used 632146C @ 1:02 when you saw Ignis' meter almost drained. Or @ 1:15, you could have used 236236D. Really, there's not much I don't think you already know. You've got a solid Relius already. Especially with this Bang, since high mobility characters give Relius a hard time since we can't pin them down easily.

You know what I hate? Doing Led Ley successfully, trying to attack the opponent with Ignis, and then my opponent attacks Ignis, have their attack lags its active frames, and I get hit after Led Ley is done.

Ehhh, I came to the science lounge after work and felt stupid cuz I couldnt recognize anyone, so I sheepishly left. At least I know where it is next time. So is exam week done for you guys yet.
