  1. There was a few more people than expected at my first visit to Columbus' Wednesday fight night but it was a good time alright! Unfortunately I couldn't stay long but I'll definitely be back! I can't say how soon what with vacation next week, exams the next and then more vacation for the holidays but I'll give it another go.
  2. Great, thanks! I'll try to make it next Wednesday (the 20th). I mostly just play Arc Sys fighters anyway but GG is the big one so I'm really hoping there's people for that. I'm also up for some BB but I'm still on CS since I'm holding out for the English release of CP. Finally, is there any interest there in P4A anymore? It's been a while for myself too, but I'm just a little curious.
  3. What's this now about Wednesday night fights in Columbus? Sounds interesting.
  4. Yeah, I live fairly close by. I'd definitely like some practice too.
  5. Out of curiosity I just went to check. I tried to open the leaderboards three times and my 360 froze each time. So...yeah
  6. I couldn't agree with this more. I'd like nothing more than for more people to get to experience the series and I have enough faith in Arc that no matter what they change in Xrd to achieve that, the GG soul will remain intact. On our end, we should push for a better understanding among the fanbase because they're really all that's keeping Arc's games coming overseas as of right now and I need me my airdashers. I tell all my friends and new gamers I meet about Arc's games and a few have even tried them out and even less have actually continued playing them but I suppose that can't be helped. It, in part, falls to us to help to promote the games enough to overcome this poor retention rate because I cannot go back to other fighters now
  7. I desperately need help with this matchup. Maybe it's because I simply don't play against many Labrys' but I usually do pretty bad against even bad Labrys players. It just seems like her attacks have so much priority and range, especially compared to Yosuke, and that damn autoguard DP.
  8. Thanks for the advice, I've never played a grappler before and making the transition from largely rushdown characters like Bang and Yosuke is a little hard. I honestly have no idea what I was thinking with that Instant Kill attempt. I guess because I was in a live stream I felt like showing off lol. Honestly, I'm surprised the match was as close as it was. I suppose I owe that to Kanji's insane damage output.
  9. Here's a live stream I was in earlier. The match in question starts at 5:46:30. Any advice would help, thanks! http://www.twitch.tv/peacefuljay/b/328186979 Now obviously I screwed up badly on that Instant Kill attempt at the end of round 3, I basically killed myself lol. Also after watching it again I noticed that I tried too much to connect with the furious action there in round 2. Also, is it wise to go for that command grab right when they get up sometimes? Finally, what is a reliable way to combo into his 2B? Most of the time I bash it out anyway after an A or two but whenever it connects it's more often because it caught them off guard then it is because it was an actual combo. Thanks for the help and any advice you can offer to help me better my game!
  10. Thanks a lot! The other things will take a little while but they seem like great tips but I've been trying your advice on throw rejects and blocking mix ups and I've already seen a big improvement. Also, sorry about the huge pile of questions. I didn't exactly realize just how many it was until you mentioned it and I read them all out lol.
  11. I've spent so long memorizing combos that I've kind of forgotten to work on my defensive skill as well. A lot of good those combos do me when I'm the only one being hit lol. I know I need to recognize other character's blockstrings, are there any tips for that? Also, is there any way to reliably instant block on a consistent basis and I'm awful with throw rejects, green and purple throws get me every time. Are there any other ways to get a basic understanding of these things besides just constantly practicing and drilling it into my head? What about my wake-ups? When should I roll or do a neutral wake-up? How soon can I block again and for how long am I vulnerable after each one?
