Kona, I am interested in going to NEC. If someone books a hotel I will ask to stay with them. Or is it gonna be like last year where I reluctantly book the hotel after no one seems interested and get dozens of requests by people who want to stay there immediately afterwards and immediately before the tourney? Just sayin, might be better to plan ahead. Casuals on Sat I guess.

Hey guys, a couple of things: the basement was pretty messy last night- soda cans and such lying around are one thing, french fries stomped into the ground are another, so if it's okay, can you guys just help clean up afterward, or better yet, just throw out trash right after you're done with it. The other thing is that I notice people don't seem to be using coasters and instead either put drinks on the fabric bench (which should not get wet) or putting them on the table directly next to a coaster, lol. There's a bunch of them around, including a umvc3 box which someone did graciously use, so just keep that in mind, cuz I don't want to stain the nice furniture, ya know? Also, if you bring food or something, like the cake, please bring whatever would also be necessary, like plastic utensils, because now I'm out of forks. Thanks.

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on, I never refused to give you directions, you just didn't ask me directly. Had you pmed me, I would have certainly given them to you, but I just saw you say that you were considering it so I didn't want to jump the gun and give them to you in case you weren't gonna come anyway. Really, you're free to come if you want, but again, if you want, and I'm not sure you really want to, so that's why I'm hesitant to push it on you to join us. Don't want to make you feel uncomfortable, you know? Second, I wouldn't say we had a bad start, it was just awkward because everyone (or at least me) was just confused at everything that was happening. I feel like you're just being a little grim about everything, like, where some people would say, "lol, sorry about the trolling guys, thought people would get the joke but guess not, mind if I join you guys?", you instead seemed to say "no one got my joke, so clearly I am unwelcome and this community is not for me." Trust me, we're not being mean or anything, we welcome any and all players, you just gotta bear with us, eh? Third, what Fraga said. Most of us are indeed competitive players: Cheese (who I don't think I've ever beaten in any game ever), Mindgam3, LPT, Vyers, Furok, and many others. I personally have not taken BB competitively for a while, but I do compete in Tekken and MK, but that hasn't stopped me from grinding out combos in anime fighters and such. We do however, not stick solely to GG or BB (though that's what's playing almost every time), so we'll usually have KOF because there are a few KOF players here, and lately we've been playing some SC5 and P4A. We call it casuals not because we are casual players, but because we're not playing competitions at my house. So yeah, don't be intimidated, you can give it some time and you'll learn to trust us a lil more (hopefully), just don't be too judgmental or else you'll end up looking at every negative aspect and dislike us before you've met us. Reading text on internet posts doesn't give a tone of voice or anything like that, so it's difficult sometimes to discern that something is more light-hearted than it may seem.

Assuming you're a legit player/not just a troll (and people seem to be able to vouch for this), you're certainly welcome. Sorry if I implied that you weren't, as since I've never heard of you before, I actually thought you were really a scrubby 14 year old newbie when you were using bad grammar/improper FG terms, so when that kind of person claims they were once the best GG playr in teh wrold and DL admin, I assume this person is a troll that is only here to make fun. If you're truly interested, pm me for contact info, or you can find someone with whom to hitch a ride if you are unable to drive yourself/would rather carpool. EDIT: Just to confirm, I am holding casuals this Sat. I was a lil worried when I saw everyone making ride plans when I hadn't yet outright said that it was happening this week.

Okay, so, for next casuals, should I hold it this weekend or next? I ask because Cheese has that biweekly thing with his job and since I waited 3 weeks instead of 2 this time I might be effin up the schedule for him and everyone else he intends to bring. Since he couldn't make it last time for that reason I'm wondering what the best course of action should be. And uh, so, for real, who's legit a NE player out of the throng of people that just came into this thread yelling about waifus, body hair and earfucking (which should totally be the next NE thread name)? Shit's got me so kunfyoozd I'm questioning reality.

We can't just tell you how to play the game without any specifics of what's confusing you, lol. There are tutorials in the game, but if those don't help, try browsing the P4A forums here. There's a lot of info that should help you out, if not, try making a new thread about whatever you need to figure out.

I wanna ask about Yosuke and Kanji, because from what I'm seeing while playing them, I disagree with where people are placing them on the tier lists (haven't read the whole thread in case it's been explained). Yosuke seems to have good speed and damage output but I've noticed that all of his specials are easily blocked and very punishable, which is bad, considering most of his damage comes from moonsault combos. His moonsault "crossups" are pretty slow so I can't see anyone actually getting crossed up with them. On the other hand, Kanji has every tool a grappler needs, high damage, oki options, etc, but he's got zoning tools as well, so he's not helpless against other zoners like most grapplers tend to be. Plus, his stun moves seem to be a more effective gimmick than, say, Tager's magnetism. I don't see why he's often placed in the bottom 5.

Lol, if you're talking about random fighting games no one plays, I've got a few (Eternal Champions 2, Bloody Roar 2/3, X-men Mutant Academy, Weaponlord, Killer Instinct, GG Isuka, Samurai Shodown 1, MK Armageddon, War of the Monsters, or we could dl something on MAME), yeah, that sounds like fun, heheh.

Holy shit man, you alright? Any damage to your person? That's pretty serious man, I'm genuinely concerned. Let us know more details please. Hope that guy fries. Uh, anyways, just my thoughts about last night: really enjoyed it myself, cool properly meeting Capsule, the Twinklestar tourney was fun, good seeing everyone and it was cool to play P4A three days early. Only gripe was the drive, really, 7 hours of driving for 8 hours of gaming was worth it this time, but probably not next time, unless we were to be allowed to stay the night (seemed like enough room in the foyer area to have people sardine for a night), but that's up to cheese and bro. Either way, thanks to Cheese and bro for allowing everyone to stay and game and shit, was really cool, good times, and shoutouts to Ruth Anne. Also, given how everyone seemed to be into that mini-tourney for a non-fighting game, I'm considering doing something similar at my place if people are up to, say, a Columns mini-tourney (Tetris-esque puzzle game of connecting three colors in a row). I think some people might be into that, what do you say?
