Oh, stuff left over from me playing around with different moves on sim. Before I checked it, I also had Whimsicott as Adamant.w
Dragon Pulse is for when Salamence is last one left standing and I don't want to keep throwing out a 10% miss move that keeps crippling my SpA. What other coverage move were you thinking of? HP Flying won't net me anything notable (as far as I'm aware) over Dragon Claw which hits more types for neutral. Protect helps ward off Fake Out and makes certain that I won't lose Salamence right out of the gate until I hopefully get Tailwind up. 4th slot was actually originally Tailwind until I realized Whimsicott helps out my team in a lot of ways.

Did some rudimentary calcs, and yeah, I guess it might help enough.
You may want to double check me though.
Also, I just remembered I have helping hand on Whimsicott if need be.
Aside from the ground immunity, Salamence gives me Intimidate. If they lead physical, I can cripple them from the start. This is also part of my concern about being too physical heavy myself.
If I wanted to, I could also give Whimsicott U-Turn. Against physical heavy teams, I could T1: Switch Salamence, Whimsicott U-Turn into Salamence, suddenly their physical attacks only do half. Kinda helpful when I'll be seeing a lot of Ice Punches and Rock Slides.
Fire Fang was there more for the other steels I can't hit with EQ, but yeah, it is kinda useless. I'll probably put Stone Edge on it.
Mild is SpA+, Def-, but Modest would make more sense on this set. Another case of me changing stuff while on sim.
would be better if I didn't have 2 mons to watch out for
10% miss on dtail leading to trick room going up and having my opponent play their game. eh.
I don't find paralysis that useful since I already have speed control in the form of tailwind.
I guess I could make dragonite physical. I just wanted to be wary of trick rooms that had intimidate support.
Actually I'm considering dropping safeguard for encore. If they protect I can lock them into it. I don't think safeguard will be that necessary if I can taunt their status user or outspeed them in the first place.
Another option I was considering was using Natural Gift for a one-time 120 base power physical fire attack, but I figure I would want to keep the berry just in case.
Right now, I'm only afraid of Cresselia if it's there to setup trick room. I think I'll have enough tools to KO its teammates/KO it eventually under a normal setting. Ice Beam Cresselia could be annoying, too. Honestly, a lot of it will be down to Outrage luck, but that was why the team was conceived in the first place.
Hydreigon could help out here, too, but so could Scizor. Maybe run Scizor on non-TR teams with Cresselia, too?
I can agree here.
I guess it's a marginal case, but I can agree. Don't know what I'll end up seeing on wifi; nevertheless I really really doubt I'm going to run into someone with Skarm and Heatran on the same team since Skarm isn't exactly... common in VGC.
would you say drop chomp and run hydreigon?
down to one outrage user, not that I really mind
I was actually considering putting Swagger on Whimsicott. Free +2 attack on someone. Gimmicks.
I could make dragonite physical and put lum on him.
I'll need to drop a move for dark pulse
EQ is likely since it can't hit levitators anyway
and it could use protect because between it eating life orb recoil amongst other things, I don't want it going down to an easily preventable fake out or mach punch or whatever
Yeah, I'm going to need practice with this team.
