Maybe it's like Litchi's little panda--it allows her to use her unique attacks but simply sits there and doesn't actually attack itself. -

I'll probably be rocking Seth and Linne. Also I wonder how long it's gonna be before the Seth/Hyde pics show up. Because they WILL show up, I guarantee it. -

Yeah, range in this game is just plain odd. Everyone's a threat from far-away. Also, the Nissan Cube in the highway stage is hilariously QUALITY. I know it doesn't matter in terms of gameplay at all, but I still got a chuckle out of it. Of course, the fact that I was able to instantly recognize it as a Nissan Cube is probably a testament to how much of a car fan I am... -

I'll bet that his normals are really unsafe on whiff and block though. As much as people in the FGC hate it when you mention THAT game, I think Gordeau would be interesting with a system like Marth's in SSBM--if you hit with the tip/blade of his weapon, you do slightly more damage. That would make him a heavily spacing-dependent character, and balance out his high damage. -

They specifically stated that they wanted to make a game that was quite different from Melty, rather than simply wrapping Melty in a fresh coat of paint, so I'd assume that they wouldn't bring back one of MB's most well-known features. -

I thought French Bread had confirmed that there was no Reverse Beats. It MIGHT come west. Let's hope for the best. -
Dude, I've never seen GG in a store, much less found anyone to play it. By the time I got into Fighters, BB was out and I just never really got interested in GG. I mean, with Plus R about to drop in Japan and hopefully America, I'm now interested in it but there was no real point in me playing the earlier ones when I couldn't even FIND them in a damn store.

Holy fuck this game is sexy as hell. Hyde looks awesome, both in gameplay AND looks*. Dammit this game needs to get to the west one day! *" I may not main him though, I'll try to go for a more zoning-type character. EDIT: Wait, in the Hyde vs. Vatista video, I swear I heard Vatista say "Onii-" sometimes....interesting. -
I never played GG, so....

One day, ArcSys will make a powerful and slow grappler who isn't terrible. One day.
-
So Amane's Astral isn't a age regression thing like we originally thought? Interesting, but also dissappointing.

Oh my god, actual news? And a release date? Say it ain't so! -
On the contrary, I keep accidently mashing my Persona out. Doesn't hell that the wierd button layout for this gameales keep hitting C instead of B
-
I think Akihiko barely uses his persona at all. Anyway, I think a good idea would be for certain characters to have more cards. Like Yukiko could have way more to account for how important her Persona is to her playstyle.
-
Okay, I'll agree that Persona Break was a good idea but is kinda bad in execution. I REALLY hate how you can't regenerate the cards unless you're persona-broken, so if you've got only a few left, you basically can't take out your persona at all because you'll get broken. But breaking a Yukiko's persona and then getting in her face because she was useless without it was the highlight of my day yesterday. (She still bodied me anyway)

That's kind of what I mean. For some BB characters, like Ragna and Jin, their drives basically just another set of attacks with some unique properties, but still just attacks. For others, like Litchi, the Clovers, and/or Rachel, their drives form a large core of their unique playstyle.
-
How is this different than some BB characters relying on their Drives more than others?
-
Why? The game itself or the players?
-
People play DOA? Like seriously? I thought everyone was in it for the jiggle physics.
-
No it doesn't. Mashers do SLIGHTLY better in this game than in most Fighters, but anybody with even a modium of skill will be able to beat them. I should know, I get blown up constantly and I'm a masher (ableit one who doesn't mash as much as most examples).
-
God, fuck it. Barring a disaster, I'm going to be hosting a room tomorrow called "Persevero*" and I'll be on Ranked. I'm not getting off until I win ONE match. That's it. I don't care if it takes me 13 goddamn hours, I'm gonna fucking do it. Oh, and this is late as hell, but GGs to everyone who blew me up on Ranked. My sodium levels have gone down since then. *: This is literally Latin for "I persist". I'm big on stuffing Latin into everything I do

Really? Most of the DP's in this game aren't even that good from my limited experience. Hell, Liz' is better for the status effect than the actual DP. THis too. Quite often it seems as if this game has WAY too many systems, I always forget about sweeps/AOAs/F-Actions/E-Actions/etc.
