  1. Every now and then I like to short-hop j.B and of course feint-sweep into throw. Feint-sweep is really good if you mix it up with what normals you pick after. (From my experiences anyway)
  2. Check the wiki on this site. So, I'm having trouble with 5AA, 5B, 2A+B, OMC, 2B, 2D, [6B], 2A+B, Bufula C, [5B], 2A+B, Coup B. There's so many things that go wrong for me in this combo. Can anyone help me out with some advice? (4B, 5B, 6B at the start, holding a certain direction during OMC, [4B], [5B], [6B]?) It gave me so much trouble that I actually made my own version- 5AA, 6B, 2A+B, OMC (hold 3 during OMC), 2B, 2D, 5B, 2A+B, Bufula C, 2A+B, Coup B. You lose all of 200 damage, but it's WAY more consistent for me at least. Edit: Fixed combo, had wrong notations.
  3. Hey Jourdal I have one request of you for this thread. Please annotate the combos that work only on crouchers? I personally just wasted like a whole day trying to grind out 5AA > 5B > 2A+B > B coup. Edit: I am retarded. That's what I get for not reading and just looking at the list.
  4. I think this video is pretty amazing, great way to take simple combos and actually apply them in a real match to formulate a basic, lethal strategy.
  5. I'm having issues getting the 5A to combo with the corner combo, is there a specific time to cancel a move? (Like say don't get the full 10 bullets from 5AA? Or do I need to do j.2B late? They always hit the ground and tech before my 5A comes out. I'm picking this character up faster than I had thought though- I think it's just lack of experience with the game overall because of the weird layout. (And I think I'm going to drop Yukiko to just a sub entirely, Aigis is so much more interesting to me) Edit: And for some reason I just got it, the only thing I noticed that I did differently is that as I was falling I held 6... Also, Hex, you should put annotations on your CMV. Not that it's too big of a deal to decode it, just would be helpful to anyone that comes across it.
  6. One More Burst > Orgia Boost > j.B > j.236C+D, j.214C > j.236A+B.
  7. Never hurts to try it, and you might like the different button layout more once you become slightly accustomed to it. But, I can say that it isn't nearly as hard as you think.
  8. Manually, always. There's a few frames between both releases for me, but I feel like I'm doing a negative-edge hit confirm that way.
  9. If you're a pad player and you don't claw for a fighting game, I can't imagine you reaching the heights you want. (In a general sense, as a Tekken and Soul Calibur veteran) However- I would actually try something strange like A as L1/R1, and B as the opposite, C as triangle, and D as square. Hold the controller normally for this method if you choose to try it. So you can do the multi-button commands without issues, etc. You don't need crazy dexterity for your C and D buttons, they're the slowest and easiest buttons to cancel into- It's A's and B's I would worry about for IAD combos, double Maragi, 5AA, 3B, 5BB, 3B, 5BB, etc. I personally like to play around with my button layouts a lot in fighting games to make certain things easier for me. Like in SF4 I reverse the layout. It made Viper's FFF a million times easier, frame traps easier to time properly all the time, and like I mentioned. You don't need crazy dexterity for your more spammable buttons, you just need to learn the timing. And with fingers that are typically slower, you'll have a harder time mashing them into error. (I tend to mash things too hard on occasion, or do inputs too fast that they don't register) (3P, HP, MP, LP) (3K, HK, MK, LK)
  10. You have to do it quickly, I mash on the j.C after I get 22B to come out because once I see j.C come out I'm already buffering into 236D. It takes practice, I picked up a lot of Yukiko stuff really fast even the double Maragi combos, etc. but Aigis combos I'm having trouble with. They just feel unorthodox, picky with spacing, and need to be executed faster than most other stuff. Really I just need to spend more time playing the character because she's so unique.
  11. Good point, wasn't thinking about that whatsoever.
  12. With a pad I would set a shoulder button to A and B so theoretically you could hold one of those down after you've done the move on your normal buttons. (I will never play this on pad, ever) I personally think it's extremely important to not just certain combos but her general play. They just have so many uses, all the time.
  13. Shiny new midscreen bnb! [*]5AA > 2B > 5BB > 3B > 5BB > jc > IAD > j.AAA (while falling) > 2A > 2A+B [DM:1869] You can extend this with 236A into 236236D, possibly even more because after 236236D you can dash-up 5C at the very least even midscreen. (My damage value won't be accurate because I did an extra 2A) 5AA > 2B > 5BB > 3B > 5BB > jc > IAD > j.AAA > 2AA > 2A+B > 236A > 236236D [2975DMG]
  14. (From my experience with the game thus far) More grounded IMO, I don't think any of her aerial moves are good for air-to-air or even air-combos for that matter. But I prefer staying on the ground for the most part anyway, and I like when people try to jump in on me. Once you get used to using your fans and traps a bit more her keep-out feels so much better, even if just to stop them from going long range to short range quickly. That mid range, footsie spot is where I like to play so I can be more aggressive. When I'm long range I just level up for free (granted the matchup) to provoke them to come in. But with her specials and moveset I think she's just better at controlling airspace.
  15. Look at the combo thread, or wiki. Plenty of cool stuff to learn already.
  16. Yeah I'm going to be working on a weird video like that too, idea phase today- Tomorrow when my Blackmagic shows up I will record. Also I want to note for everyone, 5AA, 3B, 5BB, 3B, 5BB, 5C, 2C, ender. 3B makes everything so much easier and it connects the best because it's the most forward-moving fan. (If you're having execution issues just mash 'dat B until you get it. Took all of 2 mins.)
  17. I'm trying out weird stuff right now like 5AA, 5BB, 5C, 2C, 236A, 236236D, dash up 5C. And it WORKS. However I noticed that I'm hitting it more consistently with less fire levels. (So more fire levels could reduce hitstun? Probably just my execution since I'm just trying random stuff though) Also I love that 236A buffers into super, so really you can just go 236A, 236D and I get both moves.
  18. It's not hard, you just have to learn where the sweet-spot is. Anime fighters got them ghetto-links.
  19. Just watch the players, and when you find a good player make sure you pay attention to not just the Yukiko but also who the opponent is, their character, and how they deal with Yukiko.
  20. Yeah I'm going to be sitting outside my GameStop at 9:30AM waiting for them to open at 10... I will be so mad if they tell me some BS about them not having the copies in yet.
  21. You could say that about every character with a fireball though, because everyone has a pseudo-DP. I got like 11 hours until I should actually be home with my copy, just gonna go to town working on combos/setups for a week before I start playing ranked and at my casual sessions.
  22. Well remember that you can alter the fan speed depending upon doing 4B 5B or 6B, or whatever for her fans. This also changes trajectory, and when it comes to zoning with more than fans or even making a fullscreen 214C safe you can always drop a 236A and hold it. Just release when they come in to force them to block or get counter hits.
  23. If I'm not mistaken when you perform her 236236 super if you hold the button down not only will it fix your hitbox issue, but it also increases the damage because her Persona does an additional attack at the end. (So maybe there's a way to extend combos or make setups based around it?)
  24. I had a feeling 5C would be my favorite button after playing at EVO...
  25. Yeah I figured 5A and 5C would be best AAs. Are you typically getting fatal counters when you go for 5C AA?
