Are you getting a Fatal Counter on the C launch? You need to land exactly 14 All-Out Rush hits for it.

Dealing 10.5k+ damage is probably not a necessity if you're already running Mudoon, since you're hopefully facing an opponent who you built meter against by landing a few hits, rather than one who took you straight to Awakening yet isn't in the corner (seeing as how 5C 5B 2C isn't particularly strong corner carry), or one who let you Gold Burst straight into a 5C starter loop. 236A > B Shots off of Sweep starter makes sense since Sweep doesn't go into anything else except SB fangs (which leads to death), though I was thoroughly confused about choosing such a route off of 5C starter. My execution is poor but I can try to write up a bunch of easy proper 50/75 SP setups sometime. I imagine important factors will be - carry distance, meter gain pre-Mudoon/SP-use, damage?

I was just questioning one of the combos listed on the thread OP. 5C > 2AB > 236A~Bx5 seems like a terrible way to start but it builds meter I guess. Actually, just do this instead: 5C>5B>2AB>236A~Bx5>236236D>214C>(214C hits)>5AA>SMPx9>236A~D (50 meter, 6.5k damage) I'm still honestly confused about the use of sweep>a fangs>b shots>mudoon lol.

Isis was Empress in Persona 4. I think Personas just shift arcana based on how the devs see fit for the game.

And ending the setup with 5C when you already started with 5C only hurts proration even more (not to mention only being necessary due to not being able to go straight into SMP from 2[C], even though 10 moves have been reached already by then)... It probably had to do with two things... 1. He got hit by Mudoon late into the super. I'm not sure if it only has the "absorb into middle of dark field" property in the beginning. 2. He extended his hurtbox with the j.B, which then immediately reverted when he got hit and put into the "hit" animation, placing him outside of range of the Mudoon for any further hits. The rest of the behavior of Mudoon is expected.

Experimented some (super-cancel-safe) punishes for Mitsuru/Narukami blocked DPs, let me know if these are good. vs Mitsuru: ch 5A 5C 2B 236C 236A/B (2.37k) pretty simple, a bit more damage output than the standard 5AA air-combo punish and has 236C ender if you want to do the safe-jump setup off of that. vs Narukami: (walk behind) ch 5B 5C 2B 236C 236A/B (2.6k) (walk behind) ch 5B 214C 236A/B (2.7k) 11f punish compared to 2B's 18f, for about 1200 less damage but giving crucial time to be able to step behind Narukami within the punish window. 5B whiffs/gets invuln'd on certain timings of super cancel Ziodyne, allowing Kanji to instead set up a fatal counter punish lol. If it whiffs vs super cancel Cross Slash you should recover in time to 214C/214C+D/214214C during Narukami's recovery. -
