I want to get started with GG since everyone in my local scene seems to be playing it atm, but I'm having some trouble picking a main. I'm not sure I'm gonna dedicate a lot of time to it, seeing as I already play too many games as is, but want to give it a shot and at least be able to somewhat "play" at gatherings and stuff. I tried playing the "beginner" characters (Sol/Ky) but tbh I just don't like them.
So far the characters I like the most are Bridget, May (but I'm ass at charge chars), I-no and Zappa. I can adapt to any playstyle but I usually play characters with good oki and decent/good zoning capabilities or long-ranged normals. I play KohakuC in MBAA, Rachel in BB and Yukiko/Shabrys in P4U.
Which of these would be the easiest one to get started with? AFAIK Bridget and I-no need mad exec skills and lots of dedication, but I'm not too sure about the other two.
And which one would fit me better? I'm thinking Bridget but I'm not very knowledgeable on GG to be sure.
Am I overlooking any other char that could suit my playstyle? I've been messing around with Faust, A.B.A, and Slayer as well but ended up not liking them too much.
