  1. So, you propose being triple mister Perfect, perfectly chaining guards and perfectly linking guard with whatever attack you had in mind, just to do something about 6HS scrub?
  2. I have gathered solid evidence that it's impossible to "beat" it. Being mr. Perfect, you can avoid it, just to get it again. It may be possible in your little world, but bringing it outside would probably indeed be ineffective. You poisoned the well in advance here too, saying that not changing your mind for any reason at all would be downgraded to "closed mind". Also note that I haven't completely poisoned it, saying that there are rounds that are played seriously, and specified them, which you ignored in turn. Accusing me of dishonest technique after all that? Really? While it's possible to change my mind on anything, arguing over this issue is like saying sun doesn't rise on the east because magnetic east may shift around. Dancing around definitions would not bulge the actual issue of Slayer being poor character. Take this Elphelt which managed to beat me by staying just outside guard range and spamming her punch with shotgun. It's out of range for blitz shield, and all normal and supers I tried to extend to reach her were getting counterhit. If I use dot, it'll probably clash, but you'll never get tension for that sitting in a corner. That is just another episode of "character with a wide arsenal of counterhitting himself"...
  3. Why does it always happen when you bring actual videos into discussion?
  4. While high on pointless sarcasm to pretend to be witty, what will you say about this round? As I see it, Ky 6HS has practically won it by just 3 uses. Hase did a good job reversal backdashing and going dstep after one of them, which, however, brought him back to square one and getting followed into the defeat. inb4 dragging random parts of the video out, bear in mind those are casuals, meaning highly likely that only first and last round are played somewhat seriously. P.S. fogelstrom quit trying to invade my online room, or I'll soon be mad enough to IP-ban you on my router's firewall.
  5. Of all people, don't listen to Bobr. He's just mad about me OCVing his team twice on major tournaments. ED: And oh yes he has a history of provoking me too, of all the russian community, he's one of two people I won't shake hands with.
  6. 5K and 2P are WAY out of range, no possibilities here. Slayer has no ways to advance so Ky has free range choice, no holes here. If the move hits your guard, you're even further out, and he has special cancel on it to punish every futile poke attempt. BDC jump is dead in Xrd. It doesn't even avoid Elphelt's kick for me, so it can just be forgotten, as apparently this mechanic no longer exists. Even if, for discussion sake, we pretend BDC wasn't removed, it requires pinpoint accuracy of 1f leeway just to do what, beat a 6HS spamming scrub? Really? Really? Forget it, it's not an option even if it did exist. Same for jump FD, you have to be mister perfect here again just to deal with 6HS scrub, and it's not really doing anything since with jump FD, you're back to square 1, now with less tension, and never enough for ev, which, tadam, also requires you to pull a perfect reversal to beat a simple 6HS scrub. Just no. Blitz also requires a perfect reversal, which is not reliably attainable by someone who isn't asian. So, I guess, thanks for confirming that Slayer has no options in that situation.
  7. I've no idea what you mean.
  8. Because they want to troll someone who isn't one of them trolls, quite obviously. I mean, just ask the next russian player you know. They know me and can confirm most of my story.
  9. Yeah, I've noticed this brain deficiency a lot in moba players. It's called "selective memory". Everyone who carries this degenerative condition lives in a world where he only loses to self-designated "gods", usually world series players, whom most of them have never met, much less played against. Every defeats from others is getting instantly excused with "I made a mistake there" (though in moba cases usually teammates are blamed), and the defeat, however pathetic, is instantly forgotten - he never lost. You clearly have it, and oh my god, a most retarded of trolls calling trolling on others. You've done nothing but troll me and look at you talk, what a piece of shit.
  10. Too bad I can't smack your ugly stupid face irl. I'd give up my other hand for that (the one I used to wallcrash the pad is broken permanently). The situation is, every slayer player is equal at the moment - they are all miserable suckers. The difference is only the attitude: ones that suffer and ones that enjoy being floor wept with them. ED: Once again I perfectly predicted scrub Ky, but still could do absolutely nothing about it - even if I know he's going for 6HS dash in, there is nothing in shitslayer arsenal which can do anything about it. He can keep doing it and win. And he wins, because he has a joker move of dash in 6HS, which is uncounterable by pile bunker, all normals, clashes with DoT and chokagatta for instant Ky freewin dp, and doesn't care about blitz shield either. Too long to bdc, the only way to avoid it is backwards, because of pathetic airdash, too long to be avoided with forward dash, beats all air normals, and once you avoid it he's ready to dash in and do it again till you give up and suicide. That's the Xrd slayer reality. Even if you are a god, you are a god of combo training dummies.
  11. Of course I've seen a therapist already. In short, there is no cure for addiction outside of surgical brain invasion. Other than that, it's just a management of symptoms which makes addicted person have an outer resemblance of normal life, permanently suffering a withdrawal of varying levels, and taking debilitating medication. Both is only recommended on addictions which have adverse effect on the patient's health (like substance abuse), which was judged to be not my case - so there's nothing medicine could do - aside wishing me a long and unhappy painful life. Like I were saying, picking a different character is not an option, because it is making it worse without any upsides. The situation is inescapable, I'm stuck with Slayer.
  12. Nothing makes me "want" to play Slayer. I hate every second of it. It's just if I don't play, I get the most exuberant withdrawal, which is worse than any I had before, even over alcohol. Calming that withdrawal requires playing, and playing other characters makes me experience a reflexes clash, which only makes it worse. I'm stuck with Slayer. Everyone who currently plays him seems to be a masochist in their perfect situation. They are ready to call opponent self-destruction a victory and attribute it to themselves, simply enjoying all the misery they have to deal with before it happens. Everyone else just quit. And that is hardly a wall.
  13. Me too, but, just like you, on forums only. I wonder why people like you need so many bullshit? Is it where you get your kicks from?
  14. Another jackass, thanks you for being a prick. First, he's a few buffs away from being below average, currently he's terrible. Second, it's a pretty good QoL for everyone which automatically leaves terrible being terrible. Third, he has no bullshit as he dies before making a move most of the time. Fourth, no amount of execution changes third. Fifth, I will most likely pay with my life for it. If it were just 100 yen I could escape the torment with, it would've been a cheap price to pay. Sixth, even if you read your opponents like a book, an impotent character like slayer just cannot expoit it. I got another lesson of it just now - slayer will pathetically lose to any SABC-tier spamming 2-3 moves because his arsenal simply contains nothing which can be used to counter. Too weak. Completely unrewarding, permanent loss, feels like absolute rundown even if you manage to win by opponent self-destruction. So, Japan has many masochists who have fun sucking. Their problem. I'm as good as anyone playing Slayer. They lose due to character weakness, I'm the same. There are no ranks for slayers currently. I find it funny you try so hard to perverse reality just to make fun of the guy speaking his mind. PO is just better. By a wide margin. Slayer struggles versus 6HS mashing scrubs, because his entire arsenal loses to average character's 6HS. Nothing more to it. He's not a scrub killer by any means, as it is very difficult to be even average among scrubs while using a character with 16 negative matchups. Pile Bunker is automatic defeat, it's late is countered by every normal Elphelt has. Each and every. So stronk... It's OK to be bad at insulting others, and I'm going to quit life over this issue anyway, so by all means, keep being a jerk and lie to me more so I do it faster, so you can feel you achieved something by driving me off. Jerk.
  15. I dunno if anyone normal can't be at least that salty. It's a thick skin miracle being alive (even though I got my hand in the cast for 3 weeks breaking the damn gamepad) considering what we have to deal with trying slayer. Smart play seems to be the least meaningful of things to consider. Smart play shines with a lot of options. Slayer's options are at best choosing the corner he dies in. He simply doesn't have any options every other character wouldn't counter while the player controlling them is eating a sandwich looking outside the window. I always told people that if you need "still" in "you can still win", then you have already lost pathetically and just extending your misery - it's going to be miserable even if you win by opponent self-destruction that way. The truth of those words is absolute - even if you beat someone because they mess up 4 times in a row after the floor has been wept with you, it's still miserable and pathetic thing which has nothing in common with victory. You are just making silly and pointless excuses, blaming yourself for your losses. You would've lost even if you haven't dropped a combo. You would've lost even if you had the power to never miss a key. Your defeat happened in character select, and saying you lost because of a mistake is the same as blaming the opponent for not self-destructing. Meaningless excuses. Work is ok for the result which is worth the effort. Slayer requires being a god to lose with opponent half-health instead of perfect. This is suicide-inducing situation at its finest: a perfect problem with no solution, other than quitting. SL is not PO. I've beaten people with PO just rolling potemkin buster and backdashing, a 2-move power which exceeds entire slayer arsenal with an ease of spamming bridal express. The main problem of a slayer is that the character is so laughably weak and optionless that there is nothing you can do even if you know perfectly what people are going to do. PO doesn't have that problem, he has an arsenal full of stuff that predictable people will get in trouble with. And while I'm mad, salty, rusty and have terrible muscle memory, I've been at this game for 10 years and more than 30 tournaments. This was the toughest bit to swallow - that I have to use a character which has no power even over people I read like a book. I'm literally suffocating on this bit right now.
  16. Practice and play until you quit life, since winning and slayer have no intersection in Xrd. I got you. ED: Oh and forgot to thank you for being a jackass. You have no idea how much of the effort this trash character has wasted away from my life.
  17. Thank you for your input. But is there something else except becoming hardcore masochist?
  18. For best, or, much more likely, worst, my character is set. All I know about guilty gear from 10 years of rolling in it is seen from slayer's perspective, and expanding it is simply beyond my brain capacity. Not to mention it will completely nullify whatever little I can do, will deprive me of every advantage of experience, and will severely clash with all the reflexes I worked to build. Trying my hand at Elphelt (or any other phelt) is simply not an option. Speaking of options, I have 3: quit guilty gear (and suffer severe withdrawal for the rest of my pathetic life), quit life (seems to be the best option at the moment), and get some pills which will make me stop caring and be like everyone else. I figured people who still play slayer are closer to the latter option and asked if they are. Are they?
  19. So, with Xrd finally and unexpectedly rolling out on PC, I finally tried Xrd Slayer for real (sold PS3 after crushing the pad in frustration over AC+R), and I have just one question. What kind of antidepressants are you guys using? Xrd summary is "Press X to humiliate Slayer". Continuing without happiness pills seems likely to make me leave the room without using a door in quest to reach terminal velocity.
  20. When Faust throws his head to keep you away, if you are on the ground - get a free approach with a SJ AD. His head bomb has a huge recovery, and if you are outside it's falling trajectory - SJ AD will go over it right to where Faust is.
  21. If Baiken simply jumps in on you - 66, passes j.S and you can still hit landing Baiken. If it's iad j.S - Pilebunker it. Just Pilebunker it. After 2-3 hits my Baiken-playing opponents gave up on it - PileBunker in the face leaves strong impression. As for the air, if Baiken is in front - MCR is your friend. Anything else is useless, even overdrive doesn't hit much...
  22. Unfortunately - it's not. If Baiken expects it, and do counters fast - it's counterable.
  23. S-632146P for CH on guard cancels. BBU that hook - it's pretty free, and Baiken's hitting box expands forward like Axl's with chains. BBU dives under it, and it's CH. DoT into tatami startup - CH on most ranges. PileBunker hits baiken out of low j.S and j.D clean.
  24. It's not active frames - it's narrow hitting box, which can be passed. It took me some time to adjust to AC gunflame after dashing through #R one - gunflame became much slower in AC, but still passable.
  25. Specially for AyaImmortal and other M$ Windoze users who annoyed me with "your servers doesn't work" - here you go, an IIS-based C++ http-server with ggnlobby functionality built-in. We tested it - seems OK, but can have .dll problems. Make sure you have IIS service enabled... Launch with parameters "ggxxnet_server http://+:80/lobby http://+:80/watcher". Clients should write in ggxxnet_config in lobby field "your_ip_or_domain/lobby"
