  1. Getting old and busted rappers to do the theme for your game going to be the new thing? I hope UNIEL gets DMX!
  2. Probably put something for how to time 623C 66 j.C because I know I had a lot of issue with that
  3. Koishi kinda did over respect Purepure but mostly because Purepure overly tried to bait the DP so he probably had it in his head that he'd get bodied So yeah cool stuff I saw 1: 236C/D can both be out at once(and multiples of the same one), looks like you can cancel into another one immediately once the other is let loose, kinda cool but the orb still goes whatever direction Ariadne is facing regardless of you using it again if you crossed up. Need to see CD version! 2: 5A5AA5B2AB 236D oki is hella possible though Purepure never really took advantage of the fact the orb was coming for added blockstun, he could have attempted to crossup, roll, high/low etc. as mixup but he rarely went for it. It looks like the dash cancel on 236D doesn't give you enough time to meaty 5A? but it kinda looked like he made it in time, gotta watch again. 3. 5AAA looks like an actual blockstring now, Purepure went ham with it. not a big deal but I kinda of like the idea of a safeblock string into RC shenanigans since 5AAA puts you airborne actually still need to watch the 2nd hour and will update if I see anything else worth noting.
  4. it's possible Hojuu on hit just has a slight vaccuum effect on it similar to Tsurugi does on hit/block. though if it was strong enough to make her think it's like Tager's then PERHAPS Hojuu is actually a homing j.C? lol now that'd be some real shit.
  5. yeah he just got the name wrong mostlikely. Hojuu = Testament Phantom Soul.
  6. GRAVEDIGGER LOOP PLS
  7. lol dat end of the video. I wonder why that's the only stable way C super combos from j.214A~B anyways? Similar situation happens with j.214A groundbouncing mid-tall height characters standing from any height.
  8. Aigis is Pika, Chie is Raru Slab is Sagara and Teddie is Souji
  9. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21432151 some neat Labrys stuff. i like the recorner and crouching confirm into oki on Chie, definitely stolen.
  10. Yeah charged 5B > 22A is meaty. It's a free safe jump and you can't really late tech it since it's active so long. Not many things can go into a charged 5B ender though. Atleast you can do it for 25 meter midscreen :V
  11. actually the footage wasn't so bad, I took away a really important thing from it all. Japan is late teching Labrys oki 99% of the time now and it doesn't seem like the Labrys players know what to do at all in the scenario. Going to have to find options.
  12. worst part is Bob beat Tetsu like twice in that last round
  13. do you go to the same dustloop I do, the bullet video thread is updated almost every other day
  14. It has a low attack level and long start up. However we have found a number of setups that let you use it. Simple stuff like [Combo] > AoA > Slight walk back 5D~D oki, [Combo stuff] > 5D > 214A > ~D oki. I'd like to say they're.. "american" setups? Anywho I'd just check out the Optimal Oki thread, it has a lot of good info on 5D~D setups.
  15. Word on the street is that they can't release the Persona matches due to copyright. Same for why there hasn't been a Persona Godsgarden. Strong chance we won't end up seeing any of the P4U matches at all, shit sucks. :/
  16. #RIPIzayoi2013
  17. I didn't see Purepure on stream at all. Koma was on stream getting a round off of Souji but losing and they showed Sakuma beating an S.Lab and of course him in top 8. Thankfully they're going to upload all of the tournament matches so we just gotta wait.
  18. Yeah I figured as much. Atleast you can start to 5A[5B]ing if they respect the 5AA > X! :V
  19. Since we're kinda sorta but not really on the subject of frametraps in the critique thread, anyone got some good ones? All I've really got are some 5AA related stuff like 5AA 2A, 5AAA, 5AA Throw
  20. you really think none of the new oki options help out in big ways? I dunno my success after a knockdown has gone up dramatically since using these setups. I need to start incorperating some of the 5D~D stuff into my game too.
  21. Eh I'm not too certain 5DD oki will work anymore, maybe on characters like Labrys, Liz, Slab who don't have any kind of options for it, but Narukami DP beats it out the start up every time. It might just be a distance thing though, a lot of hits whiff from 5DD if you're too close so it might need some tinkering with.
  22. You want the sweep to hit point blank. So you need to do 5A/2A > 5B > Sweep as close to them as you can be for it to work perfectly. Then you microdash meaty 5A on their wakeup.
  23. http://www.nicovideo.jp/user/2423960 It's all on this guys channel. Starts off with 10月14日 ラビリスオンリープレマ避難所Part1. Pretty fun watch. Not all of them use the 5A meaty oki variant though. iirc only two of them really did it.
  24. If you land the sweep too far off you can just 66 5B/Sweep > Release Tsurugi > 66 > 5A during the blockstun of Tsurugi(assuming they block the 5B/sweep obviously) to close the distance. From there you can go into the standard blockstring into 214A OMC 2A mixup or IATD j.A/2A. This way you're never really at a "disadvantage" on oki just because you landed it too far away.
  25. I actually just saw this meaty 5A setup used in this 11 part Japanese Labrys mirrors netplay session on Nico just a day ago! I also saw a Lab try out my theory yellow/red axe AoA bounce > 5B > 5DD corner ender for oki, was a mindfuck seeing someone else think of that, but that's for another thread discussion Anyways messing with this you can also do 5A > 9 AT 6(I still don't know what to call this technique)> 2A for the quick crossup and low. You can also do that crossup into a quick j.A but sometimes it hits them out of the Tsurugi. If you delay the j.a a little bit you can fuzzy them(I hope I'm using this term correctly!)
