"JEKKL" GGs to the doods who gave me BEATDOWN! Rachel and Carl. btw, I played Litchi. I went 0-2, never won a single round, and got perfected 3 times dang how do u guys got so good at this game?!?! other than that, I wish I found out about these tournaments earlier... I never got to enter a BB tournament since the game came out on console and now CS is out so I guess I missed this train
-
no, not staffless. Not the move where u jump back to the staff position. in the video above, at the opening of the match Litchi does backdash into backflip then air dashes before she hits the ground. Lord Knight>> thanks. I will try that. I have done the move accidentally and never knew how, so u are prolly correct
-
how do you do that backflip thing at the beginning of the round?? is it just a regular 44 backdash, or is it a different command?? also can u throw a crouching opponent? I'm wondering if u can do like a tick 2A 2A kara throw
-
hmmm... is 3C with staff jump cancelable?? this weekend I did like 5C 3C D IAD but was never able to catch the opponent with an attack from the air dash. I'm wondering if it should be like 5C 3C 9D 66C or something like that
-
watching that video, does the 41236D~C only combo off the 5C when 5C does only one hit?? can the opponent block the 41236D~C if you let 5C hit twice? -EDIT- another observation I saw from the vid is Litchi (with staff) can chain 2B->6B I wonder if u can chain 6B->5C... if so then I think that 2B->6B->5C would make a very good BNB combo since apparently the opponent can block 5B after 2A. tho I would also like to try 2B->5B

KasouM are u the Litchi/Jin/Ragna player from FFA? If so everything in my last post was learned from watching u play ^_^b in every video I have watched they follow the 41236D~C with j.B dj.BC as you said you have been doing. In the corner I've seen in videos they do something like j.B, dj.B C D C, land and relaunch since the staff keeps your opponent off the ground. also I have a lot of issues just landing a j.B or sj.B hit after the 41236D~C... do you have to run or walk forward a bit before jumping becoz apparently I can never reach the opponent and they jus tech out after my whiff... The only thing I've been able to hit is a j.236B 236C string becoz of the forward momentum.

hi I'm new! I am trying to learn Litchi but I am struggling!! Struggling becoz for one, execution is a beeyotch. two, I only have time to go to the arcade once a week and there's ppl who are there every day playing and getting better. Of like the 4 doods there who are real good, 2 of them can use Litchi and make me real depressed becoz of how good they can use her versus me who is jus trying to get the basics down. anyway, the good thing is by watching them and talking a bit I can learn stuff! Actually being able to do the stuff, a whole different issue in itself. so I skimmed thru the thread and I didnt see any1 post these, but they are two very interesting ground strings I saw one of the good Litchi players use. without staff: 2C 3C 623D 2B 2C 2C moves Litchi forward a bit so you can do like 2A 5B 5C 2C, then 3C is her trip/knockdown you can then cancel into 623D (or even 421D) which is the move that moves your staff forward or backwards... this allows you to recover (or cancel out of) from the hits fast enough to do an OTG. Thus the 2B 2C will relaunch/juggle and open up combo opportunities second string, with staff: 5C, 3C, D u may be able to put a 2C in between 5C and 3C, I'm not sure. Anyway the thing about this is once u do the 3C the staff is considered unequipped (as someone else mention earlier, other normal attacks have this property as well) so pressing D will send it launching as if it were placed and u can continue a juggle combo. Eventually the staff will become re-equipped and you can pull off a 623D into your combo. anyway, I wish I can try these out more for myself and get more comfortable with them, but for the ppl who have the privilege to play more often and did not know of these strings yet I hope they can help you and in turn u come back and help us with more discoveries!

is there a trick to doing a backdash / backstep on wakeup?? I always see the computer do it which allows them to avoid my oki... but I also see a lot of players at the arcade do it since there's two top Potemkin players in Socal and they wanna avoid that slydo head... anyways, I cant pull it off! any help?
-
I do something like that, but with one extra move thrown in: FRC, S© 6P, S©, 2S, air combo. you need to catch them deep to pull this off. if you do not catch them deep, omit the second S© and go straight for 2S after 6P. if you run too far and end up running under the opponent, my 6P usually then becomes a 4P (same as 5P) so I do S©, 5P (one hit!), 2S, air combo. I try to avoid the third situation from happening, but it does happen... mostly on light characters

thanks! but for more clarification, what is 1fJ? intuitively I would assume it means one frame jump... any explanations or links where I can learn more? thanks again!
-
does Axl have any good wake-up options?? like is 623S any good?? Likewise, how do you deal with being rushed, I can never get a 2K or K out fast enough before getting hit again, is the only option to FD so the opponent moves farther away from you?
-
geez thanx man that's a lot of knowledge. but yeay, the main problem I did have w/ Chipp was his getting rite above me. I need to learn to be better with my move inputs to counter that.
-
I spent like almost $2 last nite getting effed up by this dood playing Chipp. how is Axl and Chipp even?? I do not see how he would be any easier to deal with than Millia. any tips I should kno for next time???
-
whowh I didnt see this thread before! coincidentally, I just finished my new stick yesterday, Tekken 5 stick mod: hope I can practice so I dont get my azz kicked so hard at ranbats now
-
what about using it as an anti air? does the FB have high priority to be used as one? does it have high reach as well giving you a large windo which to connect a hit?? I havent had time to go to arcade all week man... and I live down the street from it =P I'll prolly test all this theory fighter stuff out nex week.
-
speaking of which, if you TK'ed a force break, when would the enemy be able to recover?? i.e., can you use it as a launcher, land, and juggle the opponent into an air combo??
-
I thought I saw in sum youtube video the input being 62393 or 623693 something like that... it works great on a sanwa cab for me!! I didnt think I saw those inputs in the other Axl thread with the whole strategy outline...
-
ah coo! now I can pull that air dash after a sjc force break! sankyu! gotta go back and practice more nex week
-
here's a small dumb question I wanna know... In accent core, can you do an air dash during a super jump / super jump cancel?? I am trying to learn Axl after not playing this game for years and I will be unable to go to the arcade for a few days to verify for myself if I can do this or not. thanks!
-
whaaaaaaaaat?!?!?! u mean Resengenki or whatever doesnt increase your guard bar when opponent blocks it?!?! dat sucks! what about when u spin your chain, does that help??? sankyu btw! one more question, does 6H still cause your opponent to float on midair counter hit?? that always opened up opportunities for me in XX!!! but also... even if it does, does the lack of priority on 6H make its CH ability a lost cause? thanks a lot again! I hear ranbats start this saturday in socal and I suck ass at this game! lol
-
ah, thanks you! I just finished reading all the first faq-ish posts. what does GB+ and TG mean???
-
forgive my scrubness, I havent played GG since the XX Apex days... but I was playing AC today and noticed the new axl bomber, went home and watched videos on youtube and saw old axl bomber is now force break. my question is, when you say the move allows any jump actions after recover, you mean like air dash after the attack as I saw in watching match videos, yes? Do you need to do a jump install during ground combo to pull the air dash off, or will it allow you to do it regardless? also did they remove the 2H frc? it's not in your list of frc so I would assume so... thanks!
