  1. Hi, there. I'm a bit of a newbie after not posting for a good, long time. It's my understanding that this get-together is around Daly City. I was wondering if you guys still had any room for a nobody trying to level up?
  2. I come here asking for tips. I don't know where to start, so just try to follow along here. I've been a DualShock monkey for quite some time. After going to a number of local GG tourneys, I realized that most people played on stick. Long story short, I started chatting it up with the players, and they motivated me, along with the lurking on this board, to invest in a stick. Picked up a HRAP2SA and played with it for a good two weeks. It's been a good year since those events took place. Between then and the release of BB, the stick's been gathering dust under my bed. This is mostly due to the fact that I am terrible on stick. But, I decided to give it another shot, using BB as the catalyst. My problems stood the same. The buttons are freakin' fantastic in terms of helping me link stuff that are relatively impossible for me to do on a pad. The stick, itself, on the other hand, has been boning me. Seriously. I consider myself lucky if a dash comes out when I want it to, let alone specials and the like. I guess this is where my question starts. What kind of mindset do I need to control my left hand with? When I play in arcades, I tend to ride the circular rails with the stick. Doing this on the HRAP square gate seriously fudges with me when it comes to simple stuff like IADs and 236's. Hell, there are times when I try to dash in practice mode, and the input display says I only hit 6 once. It's beginning to get really frustrating, especially when I take Noel online and get into a clutch, dying to get a distortion out only to find that the resulting input was a whiffed 6D. Am I using the stick wrong? I've been using this thing since BB's release and I've seen very little improvement since then. Help, Dustloop! Help me!
  3. How do I deal with Rachel while she's in the air? It seems that whenever I finish a combo with j.236C, after she techs, she's in prime position for wind pumpkin/rock stomp/bat cannon shennanigans.
  4. I just checked Akihabarashop and it looks like they have the GT-Y octagonal restrictors you were talking about. Just to clear things up (sorry, I am not good with joystick modification), would that fit onto the JLF-TP-8YT-SK in my HRAP2SA? I know it says it's for JLF-TP-8Y, but again - I don't know from this newfangled item code...stuff...
  5. I don't know if this has been asked already yet, but...here's the thing; I have a HRAP2 SA, and I am not used to the square gate. AT ALL. So, put bluntly, I have 2 options. 1. Quit sucking and adapt. or 2. Mod it with a Happ Competition stick (which I assume has a circle gate). My question is regarding the 2nd option. Basially, what I want to do is retain the Sanwa gumbal "stick" and place that into the Happ gate. Does anyone here know if that's even possible?
  6. Yeah, I was looking for this song about a year ago which brought me to DJMAX online's Korean website which, at the time, hosted the entire game's official soundtrack for MP3. I hopped on that with the intention of downloading everything and weeding out the songs that I didn't like, namely everything that wasn't "Kno". With that came good news and bad news. Good news: It had the song, alright. At least 3 different mixes of it, including a JP version of the song (go figure; I didn't like it as much as the original Korean mix, but I digress). Bad news: it didn't have the particular mix that was in the CV. Yeah. Also, I don't really think that the mix is really called "Briefly Trance Remix". From what the commentor on the video said, he/she got it from a P2P program, so for all anyone knows, some random person just stuck that at the end of the MP3. I could be wrong. BTW, I did employ my P2P program of choice, but with no luck.
  7. anyone got this song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bnRSA6vm-oc the song is a remix Kase ni Onegai and apparently it goes under the name "Briefly Trance Remix". The Google does nothing.
