  1. You actually can do bufu after 5C on block, it just won't be a blockstring and thus will not save him from people who go after him quickly enough. However it is useful against people who respect 5D too much and jump immediately after blocking 5C. What you can do is go into 2C quickly if you see that they blocked the first hit of 5C. they will have been pushed back and thanatos will be closer to you so you can cover him with 5B.
  2. Clearly hasn't stopped you from continuing to do it. Stop wasting my 50 meter I keep saying. One of these days you'll actually get me when I don't have the 50 meter.
  3. Is that how its done. I do 959 and it comes out. similar action so its close enough to register i guess. The only part that distance plays in the wall bounce is if the opposite end of the screen is close enough for them to actually bounce off it. If they are at the other end of the screen and you get them with a meaty 5D, then you will have to dash towards the middle of the screen as soon as possible so that when they are thrown, the distance they have to travel to the wall is shortened. Walking instead of dashing sometimes works, but its best to dash. if you were already at the middle of the screen and hit them with a meaty 5D then you do not have to do anything to cause the wallbounce since the wall is already close enough. And yeah, meaty 5Ds(if i have understood the word meaty correctly that is...) result from already feared opponents or from fatal counter where they try to roll past Thanatos. These are easy to spot, so when they occur you know the wallbounce will happen. And counterhits but thats not as easy to spot. Actually i don't know what counterhits are. lol Standard followups to the wallbounce are sweep~ garu combo and 5B 5C~ Ex Agi. Too lazy to input entire combos. If you are unsure if the enemy will be wallbounced, or you deem the enemy is too far away to go into the garu combo, don't let free damage escape as you can followup the 5D with an easy ender in jA jB jC, or its more advanced form which I can't do jA jB jA jB jC or the advanced gdlk tech that is jB jA jC 2a~ w/e combo you want. The last one is hard to do~
  4. If you're getting some serious respect from your opponent. Then it's time throw out a mamudoon. followed by the standard 5c 2c bbufu ex agi combo[75 meter]. but let them tech from the agi and go for a 5d reset, it'll throw them right into the mamudoon. Also viable followup is sweep Ex Garu D Garu 2a 5b 5c 2c Bbufu Ex agi [100 meter]. doo eet, beating people with mamudoon is hilarious, since it's a such a useless super.
  5. IAD is 99 or 77 if youre facing the other way. Unsure if there is a back dash version. Took me awhile to figure out even though its simple with common sense... You are underestimating Garu loops. They are gdlk, not just decent. Are you aware that 5D on feared enemies as well as from fatal counter cause wallbounce, from which you can combo from? If you don't, get to practicing it. its easy guaranteed damage. Spammer from SC4, masher in Melty blood, and complete scrub at blazblue here. I chose liz since she my fave from p3. Naoto gun super is easy to deal with, if you werent comboed into it, just sit still and sweep her. It's her stupid SMP loops in the corner thats bullshit. And her DP which can counter maziodyne, maragidyne, 2C, and 5D with ease. *&@# And yu, like i said earlier, you just gotta tone down mazio and maragi if they know they can punish it. if they dont know, unleash them like no tomorrow. well not mazio since he can just ziocar through that.
  6. Confirmation that Liz IK is crap.
  7. He lying to you. Liz IK is crap. Only use it if you feel like wasting 100 meter and/or making the other player waste 50 meter. Well when i put it that way, its pretty good for making people waste meter. oh god this guy can do BBufu AoA Omc ghastly wail already. he already better than me. I really should grind it out, but I'd have to reconfigure my goto corner combo D: I suppose i should give some advice as well. Instead of going straight to BBufu after 2C int he basic corner combo you mentioned, you can replace it with either B Zio, or Ex Zio which provides enough wallstick for you to follow it up with 5C , and then you can go to 2c BBufu etc.
  8. I was aware that eshi went, but i guess he didn't make it into the top 32, which is when i started watching the stream. A naoto and a labrys made it into the top 8, but not a single liz in the top 32(assuming they streamed all the matches).
  9. cuz bace is da gawd? But not even bace da gawd can figure out a tech for mamudoon. wonder why bace couldn't go to nec. Didn't see a single elizabeth while watching the stream of nec. so sad.
  10. Thats right, theyre not hard, thats why he should get to learning one or two right away. All my big boy damage comes from the corner. Love that corner. I normally just switch to thanatos pressure after the ender in my corner, which is where their wakeup supers catch me, or in mitsurus case coup, or in akihikos case corkscrew. I finally realized to back the fuck up when i have labrys in the corner so that her dp doesnt reach, so wonderful. I should opt for 5D more since they are still shocked.
  11. I've been trying to figure out some tech for mamudoon, but I fully agree with you now. That super is a P.O.S. There is absolutely no way to set it up other than hoping the other player doesn't attack you, the recovery is way too long! @New guy- The answer is to hold back a little when you know they have meter. How do they get the super off is a better question. I suffer from getting by wakeup supers due to myself being too offensive and liz with poor oki. but if you're just getting punished for using maziodyne or maragidyne from long range, simply use them less when you see they have meter since they know they can punish it. for example its never safe to use mazio on a yu with meter unless he's airborne, because he can always flip out his own ziodyne. Or maybe you're getting ziocared into cross slash. nothing you can do about that except block the ziocar first. Also learn a corner combo. My winning percentage increased dramatically after learning mine. Now its just bad instead of godawful
  12. +1 for team liz. Or the formation of a second liz team since theres alot of us.
  13. kobayashi too strong... took me 11 matches to finally beat him. thought i had him at the 9th match but my go-to corner combo left him with a scrap of health, totally wasn't expecting that D= Also first time I've ever seen someone successfully use Ghastly Wail to counter an Evasive action... GGs to dairy too.
  14. You may as well post it. The kanji combo thread is like 5 times bigger than ours! And their subforum happens to be dead
  15. woah man you can edit your previous post instead of posting 5 times in a row Also should grab a few more akihikos so i can jump in and get bodied and while youre at it, might as well teach me how to beat you Hey beat, why do you join my lobbies and go to autopass?
  16. Well yes if he already thrown, then its already too late as the body just flies by too fast. But I think if you jump in the 3 or so frames(rough estimate coming from someone who has no clue about how many actual frames there are) when he's in the act of throwing it'll probably work. And then the 3 or so frames(again rough estimate) before he begins the act of throwing is also viable. Youre right about the followup being easy though. I seem to have a problem with not using j.b early enough though... :/ Wait youre supposed to run up to Thanatos in that combo? oh for when youre halfway across the screen.
  17. Well I have confirmed that I was indeed jumping too early. I've landed it a few times now. Next is to get it consistently and then the practice the followup. I think the key time frame to jump is right before Thanatos throws or at the same time.
  18. Aeternum figured it out after umai said this to him. I know he figured it out since he used it twice on me in one match... If youve got the 5D to garu combo down, which i think you do, it should be easier for you. Sadly for me I haven't completely figured the 5D to garu combo yet. Actually imma go practice it right now to see if my assumption is correct.
  19. It looks very demoralizing though. Whats more demoralizing than getting hit by 7 bufus? Getting stuck in a garu loop. Maybe. I haven't been hit by 7 bufus so i don't really know. =( Youre probably jumping too early. Not that i've ever done it, just that after rewatching the video a few moments ago i realized i was jumping too early in my practice sessions where i end up too low to hit with j.a, so im assuming its the same case for you. Why i even practiced it when I can hardly do garu loops in the first place, I don't even know. oh wait thinking of the wrong 5D combo.
  20. youre right his neutral game isn't very good, but everytime i came close to winning(every match was close), i get hit with an ungodly combo. Curse liz's low health and my poor defense!
  21. GGs shadowteddie, erf, and blackstar Can't believe I landed mamudoon on shadowteddie. It felt AMAZING! Still lost to him in every single match though. =(
  22. Evasive action backfires on 60-80% of the time for me. I still keep doing it. While I agree on the we can't block forever part, I think I should at least be able to block a blockstring I can see coming from a mile away. For example I can see that sweep coming, i try to block low, but it just fails. Anyway for me to improve upon that, is what i was asking.
  23. No one's ever gonna rage at me for turtling with my crap defense Anyone got a tip on how i should go about improving it(me defense/blcoking), of which doesn't involve using training mode to reproduce blockstrings, since I'm not able to do other characters normal to high level combos anyway:psyduck:
  24. What a coincidence, i got a salty message from him too. Couldn't understand wtf he was talking about though. Said he was gonna send in his yukiko to show me how it feels like... and then i beat his yukiko. The weird thing is his yukiko is much better than his chie, or maybe im just terrible at that matchup.
  25. GG elochai. I don't consider that a win against you though since there was lag in the first round. Loooooks like you can do that combo pretty consistently now Aeternum. The one off 5D. Man you got a whole lot better. Thought your match against Tsuuna was very impressive. Wanted to play against you more since my... performance... in the last 2 matches was rather lacking. I run into liz 5D all day everyday:psyduck: And thats in addition to running into garu loops:v:
