How to learn a combo without video/notation?
Okidoki_Sir replied to Okidoki_Sir's topic in Beginner Mode
Oh well, I get that. And I guess knowing several strings is crucial as well, to be unpredictable. How long are these usually? And what am I supposed to do if one ends? -
How to learn a combo without video/notation?
Okidoki_Sir replied to Okidoki_Sir's topic in Beginner Mode
Yeah, already realized that, but since I do not play any important matches I suppose that's okay. Could you explain that in more detail for me? Am I supposed to do random moves on a blocking opponent and when one of these hits, I should connect my combo to it? -
Would you mind telling me a combo which is worth being learned then? :D I am looking for a corner combo which is meterless and not too difficult for a noob like me :D It should work on every character, because I don't know any corner combo so far

I got another question: Found this combo in the CS2 combo thread: 5B, 5C, 3C, 623D -> 236C -> 236C, 5D(1), 214D, 6A, j.214C, 5D, 214A -> 214D Damage: 3257, Heat Gain: 44 Is it still possible to do that one in EX? I tried it a couple of times and I am not able to combo 3C into inferno divider. Is there a special trick about this?

How to learn a combo without video/notation?
Okidoki_Sir replied to Okidoki_Sir's topic in Beginner Mode
Thanks everyone Yesterday was my birthday so I visited my family and was unable to reply. @Fujiwara: Thanks I am practicing every day, but I do not progress as fast as I should. I can really feel the improvements I make everyday, but they are very small :/ It really took me forever to learn Ragnas very basic grapple follow up and I am still not able to do it in more of 60% than the cases. @The Katz: Thank you for your long answer This is really helpful, I will keep that in mind! @cupofT: I was talking about combos that someone else already noted down. I assume there are no combos anymore which are not written down somewhere :D @Manta: A very helpful trick which makes learning a lot less frustrating. Thanks! @Ctrlaltwtf: Your tipps were very good, although they do not help me right now. I want to start with copying other people's combos rather than creating my own ones. @Osuna: Yeah, I will do so, but I am afraid that people are annyoed by my questions, so I wanted to know wether there is an easy way to avoid this :D @ Zeron_X25: That is a very good comparison. I do not play an instrument but I get your point. And I already did this. I turned off my Vita and just pressed the buttons, imaging my character. This gave me some routine, but again, timing the stuff was my problem. @mAc Chaos: This is also one of the things I already did withoug thinking much about it. But I am satisfied with like 75% success chance. It will increase as I apply the combo in real battles, but going from 75 to like 95% takes eternities and I think that I can use the time better, since I am a noob :D @BladeOfJustice7: Pretty much the same, I already said :D @Mrboxturtle: There is a problem with this method, which I encoured, using it: Sometimes you can time a move wrong, but the next two will connect anyway. But the move after that wont. You try to delay it, try to delay the move before it and it still does not work. It really takes some time to find the error in those cases. -
Hey there, I wanna learn Ragnas combos, but I can't find a video with notation and the actual video. But if I only see the notation, how am I supposed to know the timing? Is there some way to figure it out, without trial and error? And the other way: If I got a video, how do I get the actual input notation? Of course I could just look which moves are done, but this usually is not all it takes to master a combo. For example: how can I distinguish a normal jump from a high jump? How do I know wether the person did input buffering? etc I hope someone could explain me the way he learns new combos Thanks in advance

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
Okidoki_Sir replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I know, this not gameplay related, but: Can someone tell me, where I can find reliable information about console release of CP? -
Who is "we"? You and some friends? Or some kind of facebook-group?
-
Yeah, I could get there easily, but there is one problem: It's my birthday, so I gotta celebrate with my family -.- Never thought I would be sad about that :D Do these meetings take place on a regular basis?
-
Darn it, I am from Paderborn and desperately need someone to play the game with :D
-
What city are you from?
-
So no delay between B+C and 214B?
-
So i gotta delay 214B AND 214D?
-
Dafuq, guys? :D But if I post a question here, people would be like "go to thread xy". Then I would go to thread xy and no one would answer :D But okay, if you want to answer: I am stuck on Ragnas challenge 5 combo. Only 5% of my attempts are successful. Someone on the Ragna thread told me to delay 214B, but I do not think that this is the only timing relevant trick. So any ideas how to improve my performance on this one? I know the inputs, the timing is the only problem. The combo is: B+C, 214B, 214D, 623D, 236C, 214D

Hey is there any high skilled player out there willing to be my mentor? I know some people who play BB, but they suck as hard as I do, so I wont be able to learn something from them. I would like to have someone to ask my questions to. Of course a forum post will have more viewers, but I think if I got more familiar with one person then this person might give me better answers than 100 people who do not know me. Apart from that, having the opportunity of Skyping would be pretty nice. If someone got some spare time and feels like he can teach me a thing or two it would be pretty nice. I am a Vita player from Germany

Whoopsie, but 214B is what I input anyway just had it wrong in my memory :D Why should I delay the follow up (the one after 214B, right?)? I am going to try this today anyway, so thanks And what about the 623D? No delay here? So you think I should practice one of these corner combos after I finished the basic stuff? edit: I am able to do the combo now, thanks to delaying 214B and 214D. Now I need to practice it, so that I will fail less than 10% of my attempts. Thanks to you not_lunaris

Yeah, I guess so :D

Hey there, I already got a general question-thread in "beginner mode", but I do not feel these Ragna specific questions belong there. I am fairly new to BB and decided to play HMen (recommended by a forum member), but in Arcade mode I got trashed by Ragna over and over again. Apart from that I really like that rushdown playstyle more than timing and punishing. So I decided to play him now :D 1. Tried challenge mode and I fail at challenge 5 over and over again. It is B+C, 236B, 236D, 623D, 236C, 214D (last two might not be correct, as I have never reached them :D ). My problem is the timing of the 623D after I touched the ground and the enemy is falling down. I really practiced that movement a lot and I am pretty sure that my fails are not based on wrong inputs. Does anybody has advice for the timing there? Some visual signals that tell me to input now? The trick with Hakumen bending his knees during the j.2C of his BnB helped me a lot :D 2. I have seen videos of some ridiculous combos with 100+ hits. Can you actually apply those ingame (given the start move hits) or are they something that only works in training mode? I am pretty sure there are more questions incoming in the future :D Thanks in advance

Yeah I am kinda into posting whatever I want, but I not from New Jersey :/
-
Sorry, my English is not that good, I did not get this one. Would you mind putting it in other words?
-
This is a very interesting story. I think I might grab my old yo-yo again, as it might have the same effect :D
-
Sorry, I am a vita gamer :/ But if this game really catches me I will get a console. So maybe in the future I will be :D
-
Thanks I like your idea of breaks. Other people would have said "Watch some TV, take a nap, etc" and you give advice that even improve my real life :D But this is not my problem. I play mostly when I am on the bus/traim or when the lectures are boring. Okay, I often play in bed too, but then my girlfriend is on the telephone so doing pushups, etc is very difficult to pull off :D I have seen this video (it was the one I was referring to, in my post. But thanks anyway It's not like I do not know when I have to do the j.2C but my hand/eye coordination is way too slow :D Which combos did you do instead? Another question to you mac: I saw some posts you made like 2 years ago. How did you keep yourself motivated to continue playing?
-
So it's me again. I tried to learn Hakumen's BnB combo (challenge 9) by using a very helpful video on youtube which explained every detail. But I suck at it, although I know what to do. The j.2C is too early or too late. I already spent like 3hrs on timing it, but I only got a success rate of like 15%. How long did it take you to learn your first combos?
-
Germany here. But I suck at BB, so only consider fighting against me if you desperately need victories of if you are interested in teaching me :D
