  1. @Milln: I can agree with this. My view on Chrono Trigger is similar towards my view on TWEWY: I feel as if they could have done more with the game. I mean, no random battles was a fine idea, but eventually only made grinding take more time. And it has one of the most unfair Party abiliy/ enemy ability ratio in RPGs (Admittedly gets better if you don't , but it's still wildly in your favour, even considering Lavos/ And GG's to Omegablaz and... AUREABOSS, was it? Both quality players. Although the latter kicked me. Despite the fact that I was neither winning any - thing nor being completely pathetic. Still, GG's though. GG's to TrinityBurst. Slightly less troll this time, but still finds some time to partake within that area (Pointless double gold burst swag finisher GO.). GG's to Simmatron, Fist and Seo. I still hate dead spike, going to work upon that. However, I have learnt that Ressenga can be 2B'd upon reaction, so that's cool. Also, fine news for all (Even the people who don't like ponies, considering the conditions): http://www.mane6.com/2013/03/m6v2.html#more.
  2. Would any - body care to play BB? It's rather barren out here. Symm: Well, like I said, it does seem to be some - thing that would be divisive. In that respect, does any - body here have a positive view on it? I'd like to hear both opinions. Also, I wouldn't say that the Persona games feel completely seperate from the main titles aside from the obvious (Ability names, items, ). They still have the main themes of the series (Thinking for your - self, important choices, the conciousness, ect.). It's just placed within a mostly far more modern setting. It's actually rather fitting, really: The main games were partly made of old legends, tales and mytological creatures, whereas the Persona portions of the name take largely from a relatively recent interpreter of them (Jung.).
  3. While I've never played any of their games (I don't own a PS3.), Neptunia, at least, from the footage I've seen of it, while indeed pretty heavy on the fanservice, seems within to be more of a niche, love - it - or - hate - it kind of thing, and one that isn't intended to be taken entirely seriously. Also, while, as mentioned before, almost everybody here has probably played it, when I said what I meant was "pretty much everything aside from Persona 3". Errol, if you've never played it, I'd definitely recommend it. One of the better parts was how they integrated the story themes with the gameplay. How do you create a game about mortality and the limited time life has? Simple: You make everything, from grinding to buying to fusing to the links, have a finite time limit. Excellent. Also, despite the fact that the party members would occasionally screw things up, the "A.I. with tactics" system incorporated for them was both the best ally automation I've seen in an RPG and actually gave you the notion that you were fighting alongside these people, rather than just simply being some sort of overlord over your small group of companions.
  4. No, rather, 2D knock - down into 2147P (Horizontal tigerknee bubble.), IAD J.2S (Misses, but pops bubble, which is intended to hit opponent after wake - up.), IAD backwards J.2S to mix -up. Although, J.H ender to 214D might actually work. Although J.D rather than H would probably be better (Slightly more damage, more time for the bubble to attach to you, and I don't believe that J.H gives knock - down at the hieght of Dizzy's aircombos (J.D definitely doesn't.).) Perhaps I shall try it tomorrow.
  5. The combat was frantic, yes, but not exactly as challenging or varied as it could have been. It was mostly limited to "use this set of pins/ gear and don't do any - thing really dumb and you'll be fine." It could have been a real skill - based system, rather than just look like it. Admittedly, some - thing I didn't mention was how they did actually use the console well. Sorry for not doing so earlier. Also, I'm not saying this as objective fact. I detailed so much because this game is generally so highly acclaimed. I'm not just going to say that I disagree without an explanation.
  6. I personally didn't like TWEWY. Of course, take note: This is coming from some - one who almost never plays games for story reasons (I have books/ films/ anime for that.) My problem, story - wise was the same problem I have with most RPG's: It was made bare to make room for the game - play. There were a lot of reveals (Although the entire thing was spoiled by ) but characterization, I felt, was rather lacking, and I believe that, without strong characterization, no plot twist has much meaning. I do, however, admit that they handled the entire "urban" look quite well, and the game, as a whole, works better if seen as a tribute to Shibuya than any - thing else. Also, the sound - track was damn fine and I do indeed some - times listen to it. As for gameplay, I believe it had so much potential, but they really failed a lot to use it. The entire "telepathy" concept could have had so much more done with it... And yet they kept it to what mostly amounted to essentially fetching and some minor "puzzles" which are eventually solved via doing things the game explicitly tells you to, doing things that it almost almost almost tells you to do, or small amounts of trial and error (The "Moai" puzzle is an accurate example of all three of these.). The one example that partly averts this is the "box" puzzle (Which was still pretty easy, but it was marginally better than the rest of them.). The combat, while it had a very workable system, didn't really challenge towards full potential, and, eventually, I realized that it was far more preperation dependent than it appeared to be (Of course, RPG's are often preperation - dependent, but most don't make as much pretense towards appearing not to be.), although, by the very fact that it does involve manual player movement and action, isn't entirely as such. One thing I thought did help it, however, would be the ability to change your level within order to increase the probability of drops. This is actually some - thing that I believe would be best to implement within all RPG's: It promotes challenging your - self by increasing the chances to gain things if you do, while also allowing for a "Level cap" run without the constant fear of gaining too much EXP, and, there - fore, wasted progress (Of course, there are devices for this, but some people are wary enough about what they may do to their software through - out their application to use as such.)
  7. Lolwut. But still, GG's. The first few matches were uninteresting, but it got much better after that. Unforunately, I never really tried out that bubble cross - up oki I made up in training. I intend to go for it next time, however. While I've never really played Ky, and, there - fore, am not acquainted with his combos, it does seem that you still aren't getting maximum damage from every hit (Although of course, this comes from some - one that dropped aircombos and failed to confirm ranged 2K's towards some - thing that would actually hit, and did so consistently.). Is he really that low - damage? I'd like to know. Also why do I fail to block Greed Sever/ 5D most of the time. Why. ;_; Edit: OOH! OOH! PICK ME AGAIN, PICK ME! (What time do you intend?)
  8. Which one? I mean, I've never read a Blaz Blue fan - fic in full before, but I would assume that there would be several candidates for such a description. Oh, we were just discussing Arakune's literary preferences, that's all. Also, does any - body want to play Guilty? I'm bored. Well the other one was alright. But this one was indeed quite better.
  9. Oh, what have I done. One of the best fan- fic ideas ever. BRB guys bastardizing Dahl. Who can create humaaans~ Fused all up with steeeeeel~ The science man can, Oh the science man can, The science man makes artificial little girls to scout the azure worlds for yoooooouuuuuu~
  10. What variety of Sonic fan - fiction, per se? Other suggestions: Mashbeth. Amaterasu Is Not Great. The Nanoha Pallete Out of Space. Relius Clover And The Murakumo Factory. T e Ox d Eng s ict on y Squ i gl rsi n. Carl Clover's Blue Book. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Book_(Jung))
  11. Eh. I'm still annoyed by the project stopping. ;_;
  12. EDIT: Ah, verification. Alright.
  13. It didn't seem like it. Sarcasm on the internet isn't often the best idea.
  14. Ah, my internet's working again. Excellent. Well, apparently Faust is contacting them for some - thing... Although it may just be related towards the new series she intends to launch soon. Still, this was indeed irritating news. It looked like it was actually going to be a well made game. Probably the best fangame within the community. ... Does every - body within this thread have a tendency to contradict them - selves? (Unless you meant ponies within a general sense, rather than MLP. Or are just adverse towards the game it - self.) Less broken, more just has a mechanic that can make him a strangely - walking, disjointedly - talking, barely living salt factory.
  15. Oh, shit, sorry, I forgot (Which is ironic, seeing as we did spend a relatively large amount of time playing each other.) Yes, GG's Fist. At least it wasn't a complete bodying this time. ...
  16. Greetings all, sorry for not being here much. My home computer hates dustloop now, and constantly closes the internet at varying intervals while using it. There -fore, I'll probably have to wait until sunday, as now, when I'm at my father's to post any - thing. I've also not been not playing BB recently due towards allowing a guy from my college who seemed interested to borrow it. He said he may pick the game up seriously once he's had some time with it. This has the obvious disadvantage of depriving me of the game for about two weeks, but would be a long - term benefit due towards both giving the netplay community another player and me some actual off - line competition. Any - ways, without further ado, Ashes' late GG's compilation GO: GG's to Merudi for giving me the most exhilarating games I've had so far. Seriously, some points became immensely intense. Look forward to you giving me a fine, sensational and educational beat - down once again. GG's to Omegablaz. Sorry about the Guilty, didn't think the lag was going to be that large. Still, BB was enjoyable. Hope to play you again soon. U(Unsure)G's to Trinity Burst. On the one hand, you are the single greatest troll I have ever encountered during netplay. On the other, you do seem to give the impression that you CAN play the game well, you just prefer to screw with people instead. Hope you play seriously next time around. GG's to Simmatron. I wouldn't say I've improvedten - fold, but I definitely have some - what. At the very least, at least I'm not entirely free to Lambda any - more, lol. GG's to NinjaTree, the first time at least. Have you decided on a main yet? I'd like to know who you'd pick, considering that you tended to use a variety. Some advice I'd give you: Move around more. You were being too cautious in your movement, some - times just standing there or moving slight amounts left or right while I run up to you. Of course, don't just run all the time, I was almost doing that at first and got bodied (As opposed towards my slightly more varied movement now, iwthin which I only get semi - bodied.) but standing still almost never works. You were also doing some really unsafe things, like charging Hirensou at point - blank range, which mostly got you punished. Still your doing some fine mid - screen combos with Ragna at least, definitely maximizing the damage of the hits you get there, although the corner stuff could use some work. BG's to Luxus for lagspiking, you naughty, naughty boy you. GG's to Darret, even if I fucked up continuously on the mix up point, lol. And sorry for the lag the second time, streams were happening. Also: This. Arghhh Raoh. ;_; Also, welcome Coal Train. Glad to see a Relius around here, we had a distinct lack of these. Hope to see you once I get the game back. Also, Symm, now that you seem to no longer hate Plat, would you be available for some morrors late next week? I'll probably have the game back then (I allowed him to use it for two weeks.), and I believe that playing against my main would help within my usage of her.
  17. Actual link this time guys, sorry for being an idiot last post: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?15853-80-Donald-Driver-jersey
  18. Not sure how to link threads here, but somebody calling them - selves akBc5i0mYpRz just made a small amount of threads within several sub - forums, consisting mostly of text about financial matters seemingly completely unrelated towards any - thing or any - one upon this site. This probably falls under this thread's jurisdiction. Within any case, they seem to have done nothing other than spout information that doesn't fall within this site's topic matter whatsoever. It's probably best to ban them. Edit: Lol, ninjas.
  19. Oh, it's fine.My reaction was an exaggeration. Hate Plat as much as you want, as long as you don't ask those who don't to do the same. TRAITOR! TRAITOR TO THE THRONE! Nah, just kidding. Also, Seo: Would say GG's for the Guilty we had four days ago, but, quite frankly, my performance was far too pathetic to even near warranting that claim. Seriously: I usually do better than that, at least with hit - confirms. Still need to work on devising some oki set - ups though, especially mid - screen. Oki is where she gets most of her damage from after all. Alos, double IK and puff - ball spam for the win lol. However, if you'd allow some - one who you repeatedly destroyed (Twice literally.) to give some advice, it would be to work on your corner pressure with Jam. You were doing some things which would within almost no circumstance hit me at the range you were doing them, which provided me with a chance for a deliriously easy escape (Not that I really capitalized on it, ha ha.). If you had kept me blocking, it probably would have been an even higher level of slaughter than it was. Also, by some amount of fortune, I actually found a disc copy of AH3 within a used section, so that's available to me once again now. It won't allow me to save, and it won't respond to any inputs if I enter the messenger, but hey, at least it's mostly working now. I also plan to re - order Extend, so hopefully soon I shall be playing the people here at what there best at once again. Before it broke, I discovered that some of Platinum's better mid - screen combo's are far easier with a stick than pad, with their unreliability upon said pad being why I didn't attempt them previously. So hey, look forward to around about 1K or so more damage if you're standing during the ever - so - rare occassion of me hitting you.
  20. Some unfortunate news that it probably would have been best to post rather earlier, as well as create a solution towards it: Early January, my sister took the console to a friends house for a party, along with BB, as she, during some periods of time, does play casually. Unfortunately, during the return journey, they apparently experienced a relatively small collision. Nobody within the car was hurt: It wasn't forceful enough for that. However, the 360 DID take some impact: With the BB disk in it. This resulted within said disk being scratched to basically unplayableness. I also never installed it, and even that may not have worked: The hard drive was some - what damaged as well. Thankfully, after a few re - downloads, most of the games were fine (Although AH3, which I bought on boxing day, is still screwed up, and, even worse, most of the music that I had stored within order to replace the game BGM's were also victims, although, if playing a non - disk - based title, I can still place the CD's in.) So, for, at the very least, some days or so, I am basically unavailable for BB. The disk was actually mostly working at first (Simm, I think I invited you, and some - body entered the room, it just froze when I brought up the profile screen again before - hand, and I eventually turned the system off.) but now it just refuses to load even the starting loading marker. Sorry, guys.
  21. No, it's not that, don't worry. It's just that my father called, and it's intended that we spend the night at his place, so no games for me until tommorrow, I'm afraid. As soon as I get back, however, I'll invite you and then we shall have those versus matches, if nothing else comes up then. As to why I didn't respond two days before, my pad has, well, broke and, there - fore, I am currently trying to play the game with the stick. It's honestly a lot easier than I expected: I can actually do 22C combos within the corner consistently with it now. The problem seemed to be that I was releasing the stick after each motion, as I would do with an analogue, rather than constantly holding it and moving it manually to neutral and then towards the next input when required. So I didn't reply because I would not have been nearly fit enough to play at that point. However, now, I'll be absolutely fine with playing you, and any - one else who wants to.
  22. Yup. Ask me if you want some games, although there probably won't be any today, seeing as people shall likely be around for holidays. Also will still probably be using the pad for Blaz Blue: The stick seems to work far better with Guilty than it, and Platinum doesn't require any negative edgeing/ hold - release. Still, perhaps I'll decide to try some Arakune/ Rachel/ Carl (Although I can do O.K. with the latter two's inputs with a pad.), at which point I shall probably also try to use the stick with it.
  23. Thanks towards all that I played yesterday. "You played well." I disagree. Strongly. "Your pressure was very predictable." Indeed. Throws would be fine, yes. Also probably best to learn TK swallow as well, considering how effective it can be. Also need to time 22C better, dropped it almost every time. "Is that an overhead or some - thing?" No, 6A is actually mid. Perhaps you were just crouching rather than low blocking? It would still hit within that case. Thanks for the Guilty Kanashimi. Your largest problem seemed to be that you generally didn't completely capitalize on all of your hits. It would be best to learn some combos. Of course, thats... Slightly patronizing, coming from the Dizzy player who needs only two varieties of combo: Basic knockdown (Which I did.) and bubble loop (Which I didn't, because pad. However, now that I have a stick, they shall be learned.). Most of her damage comes from oki setups, which lead into more knockdown, which becomes more oki ect. The best way to play against Dizzy seems to be offensively. I don't really see her having any - thing for getting away from devensive situations aside from double air - dash, so I'm not entirely sure how I'd handle large pressure. Thankfully, one thing I've realized recently is that I can actually be O.K. at blocking (Just not at not getting hit ), but still, more pressure is generally helpful. Also, you did use some very unsafe things as over - heads (Bandit revolver and whatever Ky's over - head special is called.), however, once I started actually blocking (I said CAN be efficient at blocking, not will.), and, there - fore, punishing these things, you appeared to quickly realize just how completely risky they were, and stopped doing them. All in all, they were some fine matches. I would like to play you again some - time. Oh, and happy X - mas, everyone.
  24. Gratitude towards Hexanoid and Fistmaster for mostly taking me seriously no matter how much I sucked. I got the beating I deserved. Also gratitude towards Hex's near - troll bang almost perfecting Fistmaster's Mu. Was mildly amusing.
