Thanks! I was always wondering where exactly his guardpoints were.

I've been looking around for them and so far I can't seem do find a definitive list.

San Diego's thread of meetups every Friday Night at SD Saltmines

I have bioshock infinite, but only for 360. Does that change anything? Also I don't have a case, just a cd folder-thing. You may want to bring an empty case or something. -

So I discovered that AH3 was not released in the US for 360. And 360 is region locked. Aside from getting a ps3, is there any other way to play the game? -

I usually bring my 360 converter, so you can use a wired pad to the ps3 (or so it should be that way). Only problem is that I may be a bit late today, so you'll have to suffer a bit still :S -

Beat me to it. I'm a little surprised to see this not too long after ACR was released, though. I will probably end up getting both anyway... -

Might not be there this week. Planning to catch a movie with gf and I'll need to check the times available. -

Well said, B-Rai On another note, now that I finally have my converter, what BB version are we playing right now? I figure that I should finally grab the darn thing. -

Hey, thanks for the games on Friday. It was fun to actually play GG against other people again. I'll be trying to go more often and playing different games too. http://www.akihabarashop.jp/ ^This is where I bought my joystick buttons. They ship once a month, however, so you may be waiting for your parts for a while. I can help you with the soldering part, though. It will also help if you know where the connections go, and if it's compatible with your joystick's computer board. I had to remove one of the PCBs on my stick and use direct wiring to the other pcb in order to get the buttons to work, for example. -

How late will you be open on Friday? Because I'm actually going to be at a b-day party for a friend, but I don't mind heading over later if people will still be around. And do people play AC there on 360 or ps2? -

Sounds good. Asides from my own stick, is there anything else I can/should bring? -

So after three years, I've graduated from UCSD, got a job and I'm playing GGAC more consistently again. Are meet ups only on Fridays, or are they varied throughout the week? And what games are usually played? -
Well, after about 3 years of absence to finish college and get a job, I'm playing GG again. Anyone around the La Jolla/UCSD region? I know of a few, but I don't know how active they are and would like a headcount of who's around.

So after figuring out how to emulate this game on my laptop so I don't have to boot up my ps2 to go into training, I'm playing this game again. But I have a more fundamental question, you could say: what is a pressure string? is it the same as a block string? And what separates a good pressure string from a bad one?
-
You can actually just do a regular JH after a 2D and you should still get the same results as a MSJH one. There might be less untechable time, but it shouldn't matter to my knowledge.
-
MSJH causes more stagger and untechable frames than standard JH. If you really want a lot, you should do MS > dash > JH during the dash, although the untechable and stagger frame difference is greatest between JH and MSJH.

So I did some messing around with RC'd Jackhound in training mode. Turns out that it has three distinct results: 1. If you do it as soon as possible, Johnny will have only inched forward a tiny bit while your opponent is pulled towards you. Good for ticking throws as well as putting them right in coin range. 2. If you do it a tiny bit later, Johnny appears right in front of the opponent. A bit more readable as a tick throw, but it allows you to reset ground strings. 3. If you do it late, Johnny will be behind them. I believe it puts them at optimal range for f.S > 6HS to combo on crouching opponents. And just in case it's not known already, 2D > JH RC is a free air combo if you don't have a lvl 2 MF ready or if you're out of coins. 5K > c.S > 2D > JH RC (any of the three mentioned) > jK jS jc jK jS jD ensenga does 195 damage on May. Not stellar, but it can be enough to close the match. While the whole idea costs 75 tension, I think it's still a good option to keep on hand. Also: KJt (or is it JT? I can never remember which is which) will do the same job, but I think it's better because you are safer on block, you can catch a back dash, and you can probably convert it into damage if you JI'd and FRC it. However, I don't know if it's an ambiguous cross up or not. I recall it as one, but I can't say for sure atm.

From what I've seen (granted, not much) it looks decently respectable. I've never actually touched the game myself, however. I keep hearing how everyone bashes on it and I'm just asking why.

Made in MS Paint with Shaky Hand. PS: if anyone can actually make a gif for this, please do so. I will love you forever.

[#R] Official #R PC Online Play Thread
Donutholes replied to koogy's topic in Guilty Gear Online Play
After a long time of not playing, I decided to try to get #r online working again. I don't think or don't know whether or not I patched the game before, but ver. 1.20 isn't patching. Is there an earlier version I should patch to first? -
I dunno what happened to Dizzy's sprite when I opened it as a layer in GIMP, but whatever.

figured out why my inputs were so weird. Final Burn Alpha runs on ggpo's engine or something, so if you change the input delay on GGPO, the input delay changes in FBA. And more people should play on ggpo. it's free
