gg's to everyone who raped a terrible Taokaka yesterday, I gotta step my game up so don't hold back!

Hey guys, my friends and I are new BB players looking to get in some tournaments and step our game up. Couple questions: How necessary are arcade sticks? We just play on the 360, but it seems most tournaments only have PS3 setups. Its a big investment, and it'd kinda suck to learn everything from the ground up again. Are there any sites besides this one that list BB tournaments in the GTA, or in general? Any other tips for a BB newbie looking to get into the scene?
