  1. There are a multitude of other factors that contribute to the time frame allowed to react to certain situations within the game's mechanics. As mentioned earlier, mix up options cause doubt which slows reaction time. Also consider netplay. The slightest input delay can be a crucial factor in determining how well someone can react to a certain move. You also have to factor in the milliseconds it takes for the brain to send messages to your fingers to input the commands required to react as well as the actual time it takes to input those commands. In reality the window is even smaller than your "test" suggests. The majority of overhead blocking comes from predictability rather than reaction. People look for overheads after certain moves or in certain situations. Its much easier to react when you assume it is coming. Thats also why mix up games work so well in all levels of play.
  2. There are two major issues that we are overlooking it seems. BB has not been around as long as other games that appear in EVO. This is part of the reason for a smaller, less established fanbase. The more established franchises that have been around for over a decade draw in bigger crowds and more money so they get first dibs. The possibility remains that BB will become more established with time, but its unlikely as arksys will generate an entirely new franchise with the ps4 coming out soon. Number two is the game does not appeal to a wide spread audience to begin with. It appeals to anime fans, which is its intention. With anime being relatively unpopular in the U.S. this also cuts down the audience and adds to the reasons why it will not appear in EVO. Trying to force feed people who bash the game will only increase the bashing and polarize the FG community towards the more established games. The best option would be to demonstrate that the franchise can attract a crowd and earn a profit. That is the only thing the people who create these tournaments care about anyways. This is just my two cents though. Its a shame, because I feel BB is much more entertaining to watch than SF or SC. Footsies......footsies everywhere all the time.
  3. GGs to Shinsyn from one Jin player to another.
  4. Perhaps Hishougeki wiffs now? Hizangeki crosses up I believe, so that may be an option in certain situations.
  5. I never really played any sort of fighting game seriously before experiencing blazblue. The first trailer for CT showcased Jin and I knew I had to get the game. Instantly enjoyed playing as the character and the fluid, highly mobile fighting mechanics of blazblue. Jin has been my main ever since.
